Week 2 of Growing a YouTube channel (at 59)! Moving in the RIGHT direction. I'll just keep swimming!

I posted my first video on my "real-life over 50" channel on May 14, 2024. I'm documenting my journey to getting monetized, starting literally from zero subscribers and zero watch hours.
I'll post weekly with an update on where I am. To be monetized on UA-cam, you need 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours (not including shorts).
I enjoy sharing my atypical life at 59 as I'm starting over after raising 3 kids alone.
Here's the scoop on me:
- I've been divorced for 16 years,
- I have three adult daughters
- I'm currently working as a nanny to four kids,
- I'm in my first year of grad school full-time to become a licensed therapist.
Topics on my channel include mental health, starting over, single parenting, financial struggles, and managing complex trauma (adult child of two alcoholics).

I’m don’t think it’s too niche. There are a lot of 50+ people out there. And I highly doubt that they all have their lives perfectly together
