Keep up the great work! I've heard we should be shooting in 4k also but the FPS should be 24. I think I'll tinker with some test footage like you did and see what I like better.

Hi Kerri! Thanks for watching so faithfully! I'm so glad you're finding some tips. I'm using CapCut and I pay for the professional version (maybe $10/month?) although I could probably get by with the unpaid one. My daughter was around one day and knew how to give me a 15 minute tutorial to at least get me started. That's the only reason I went with CapCut. What are you using? 🌷💕

Hey lovely. I posted a video about 4 years ago out of pure curiosity. When I checked back in January this year 😆I had got 52 subscribers which I couldn't believe. It was the push I needed to crack on and make some more videos. I only post every week or two - I will not make videos if I have nothing interesting to share - but I hit 1000 subscribers on 3rd May which was just so exciting - and I got monetized on 19th June. It's absolutely pennies and I've not had my first payment yet because the threshold is £60 - but I am so honoured and thrilled to have reached this point and to have started to build a community of lovely people to share my life with. What I'm trying to say is - keep being your lovely authentic self and your audience will find you. Definitely use the Community tab on your channel to share updates and have conversations with your followers. Make your videos because it's what you enjoy, not because you think it's what people want to see. I think you lose your identity if you just do what you think people want and it stops being fun. I'm looking forward to following your journey x

I experienced this when I came out as a lesbian and left Christianity. There’s one friend I was really close to. I never even told her about my personal changes. But the last time we had lunch I think we could just both tell we were no longer a fit. Then we maybe texted a few times and now haven’t communicated for probably 2 years

I lost a large portion of my friend group when I divorced my ex (malignant narcissist). A friend of mine who is a grief counselor called it “divorce-itis “. They were afraid of me because I was brave enough to call out the crap that was going onand make a change…they were fearful that if continued to honor our friendships, that I would convince them to divorce too. Of those 4 couples…3 of them split up about a decade after I did.
I remember in my married evangelical days there was a single mom at church and I was literally scared of her like divorce was contagious. We never were friends so she never knew I felt that way. But it’s a thing. Of course my marriage imploded a year or two later also.
I’m sorry to hear that and not surprised. Divorce-itis is a great way to put it! We never think it will happen to us so I hope they reflected back on their decisions during your divorce. @@Shushingtheshame1 likewise! I am NOT a polished speaker! 😆. I communicate in writing more effectively than when talking informally. Sometimes I script if it’s a video with a lot of data or facts (AUDHD 🧠 and can’t always translate what’s in my brain into words that are comprehensible and concise!), or I’ll speak in segments…thinking about what I want to say, filming that part..wash rinse and repeat. That requires tons of editing…but I don’t mind YET. The videos where I’ve just spoken off the cuff…I ramble a bit and go way deeper than I planned… having some kind of HUGE epiphany while I’m speaking. I’m an elementary school teacher so I talk a lot anyway. ✨

I was so excited to see another one of your videos come up on my feed! I’ve gotten much better about not being overtly mean to myself. But now I’m starting to notice that I often have an underlying attitude of self-judgement without even noticing. It’s a process I guess.
