automatic like for the kid helping his dad.
You Have A Great Helper. He is Not Shy. That Is A Good Thing.
Excellent video. The most in depth I’ve seen and I’ve looked at a lot while I get ready to go through a long-neglected oil-fired steam system once the heating season is over. Used your, links for some parts and that great screwdriver!
Great play by play video - thank you. I have the same Beckett burner and never knew that there was a hole in one of the fan blades for inserting a hex wrench through to loosen and remove the fan cage from the shaft.
You're Welcome. Thank for watching
Awesome helper you there! Reminds me of my son when he was young! Great explanation of parts thanks for sharing. I subscribed
Very thorough! and tell your helper he did a super job especially with the camera...and I will be very careful with the transformer so I don't get wacked by the lightning! Thanks.
Excellent, thanks for this teardown. Very useful to see what's inside before I go ahead and replace my burner controller and flame sensor. You got a like.
Thank You
Great video. Very detailed and informative
Thank You
Thank you for the informative video, now I know the parts of the unit.. Also a big shout out to your son , he did a great job on the camera and commentary...👍
Awesome! Thank you!
Excellent explanation, thanks.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching
Your are professional good job
Thank you
Nice video!
Thanks!
Great video, really helps break down the different parts of the burner. It's nice that you do it with your son
Was curious if you have any other videos on nozzle and electrode adjustments?
I have an AFG burner with an energy kinetics EK1, it seems to be burning a little too much oil. Was curious what might cause that?
I have this video ua-cam.com/video/7pqMi1m7508/v-deo.html
It’s a different boiler but it might help.
As for fuel usage, it could be a number of things. I would start out checking to make sure you have the correct nozzle size and fuel pressure. Clean the boiler heat exchanger and tune the burner. Next, I would check your zone valves for proper operation. Make sure all your heating zones are not heating more than the thermostat set point. I hope this helps
@@furnacetech2581 Thanks for the response.
Will try the video above and see if I can figure it out.
Looks to have a 75 nozzle I believe and Honeywell zone values.
Howdy, if the original head on the AFG was setup for a .85 80A and I go down to a .75 how can I find out what head I need for the smaller nozzle? Good video and explanations. Thanks

@@furnacetech2581 Thanks 👍
@ furnace tech Above link seems to be broken
Hi I got a question for you I have smoke coming out of the oil burner and I have oil leaking under de oil burner as well is that has to be with the oil pump or I will have to replace the entire oil burner.
You may have a fuel leak on the nozzle assembly or fuel line! Be careful it does not start a fire.
A question for you about bearing noise. I have a two-year-old furnace, and I'm hearing some pretty bad-bearing noise coming from around the fuel pump. At this point it's intermittent. I thought originally it was coming from the blower motor but upon closer examination, it's coming from around the Motor or the fuel pump. I'm assuming there are several bearings in and around the motor and fuel pump. Which do you think would be most likely to fail after just a couple of years? I've actually had furnaces 10 plus years old and never had bearing issues before, but this noise Is fairly loud and can be heard from 10 feet away.
I would remove the coupling between the blower and the fuel pump and test the blower motor. See if the noise goes away or not.
Your kid is so cool.. “ just saying🤚🏽” lol
well done,by all.
Thank you for watching
Ive been having trouble with my bekett burner. Ive trouble shooted everything i could think of and cant figure out the issue. My blower fan is not kicking on when i turn on the heat switch. It will kinda of turn on but get stuck then it trips my breaker. Do you think it could possibly be the fuel pump? Or something electrical? When i trouble shoot the motor blower alone without being assembled it works normal but when i place it into the shaft it looks like it gets stuck. Id appreciate the help. Thanks!
You should be able to spin the fuel pump by hand. If you can, the blower motor may be going bad! That’s where I would start. I hope this helps!
@@furnacetech2581 figured out the problem the next day. It was the fuel pump. The shaft inside the fuel pump was stuck causing my motor blower to get stuck. I changed out the fuel pump and it started working like a champ! I appreciate your videos I've learned so much. Thanks
@@rene5313 That's Great news!
Hi I’m having issues with my oil burner. I keep getting smoke coming from the oil burner and the oil burner is leaking under. If you can give me an advise I will be so appreciate.
I keep getting oil at the bottom of the burner. My guess is, either the fuel pump is leaking at the shaft or the oil dripping from the nozzle in the blaster. If it is a fuel pump, I'd think replacing the pump should do it. But how would you fix it if it is the "oil at nozzle" issue? thanks.
Try replacing the nozzle to make sure it’s spraying correctly. Also set the distance from the burner head to the nozzle and electrode gaps. This may help. Make sure the nozzle is tight but do not crank it down too much. It’s brass and you Will need to remove in the future.
Let me know it this fixes it
@@furnacetech2581 thank you!
@@furnacetech2581 I replaced the nozzle, set up the electrodes 1/8", 1/16", and 1/2". I still see oil at the beginning of the blast tube. Any other suggestion? thanks,
@@cnn94001 two things to check, is the nozzle line going from the fuel pump to the nozzle adapter tight and not leaking. Touch it and see if it’s wet.
Next inspect the area around the fuel pump seal.
@@furnacetech2581 all seemed clean. I keep seeing oil at the beginning of blast tube, can't really tell where it's come from though. Any more suggestion? thanks.
Are you located in Alaska?
Yes
I’ve been having a heck of a time finding someone to work on my boiler. System 2000 ek-1, Beckett afg. Live in rural AK, on road system, but about 4hrs from ANC
