    We have a version of this in india made with besan(roasted gram flour) its called besan ka chilla. It’s a bit easier to make since you don’t have to soak the lentils! Good going Samuel!

    Nice recipe! Delicious and versatile
    Oat flour absorbs more liquid in general, just let it set for some time.
    Rice flour tends to make the batter more crispy, so if you make the circle thinner it will be like dosa rather than pancake. But
    If you decrease amount of liquid in the batter it will become like a dough and u can use it as flat bread. Different recipes, same ingredients, always delicious taste 😋 thank youu Sam 🌹

      Hi Mia, thanks for your comment! Yes, you're totally right, you can play around with the flavor and texture simply by using other flour or plant-based milk :) And making a flat-bread out of it is also a great idea. Hope you enjoy it!

    Lentil and rice pancakes are dosa. I would like when credit is given to original recipes.

      What you made is an Indian recipe being made for centuries- so it seems weird you are making this…and don’t know

      A Dosa batter is fermented, this is not. So this is not a Dosa. A Dosa also has other ingredients added to it.

    Love lentil flatbreads / pancakes
    though I learnt to make them with fizzy water
    and not soya milk
    but this looks like a fine variant I will try.
    I tend to use almond milk (Mandel Drink)
    though it might not be as high in protein
    I prefer the taste (or lack of it).

    • @Yes2LifeShow
      @Yes2LifeShow  3 роки тому +2

      Hi John, thanks for the comment :) Adding fizzy water is also a cool idea, it must make the batter fluffier, right? we personally prefer soy milk over almond milk or oat milk (mostly for the protein), but yes, each plant-based milk has its own advantages! Hope you enjoy the recipe!

    Hey Samuel, that sounds delicous! I guess adding a little curcuma would make them even yummier and crushed flaxseeds, which act like eggs. These two will lift up the nutrientscore a bit;)

      Thanks for your comment. You could also use corn starch or just regular flour if you have no gluten sensitivity

    I wonder if I could do this recipe with sprouted brown lentils? I’m following a special SIBO diet so I’m going to give it a go. Sans onion and garlic though too.

      This particular red / orange one is called a lentil.
      Split pea is yellow in color.

    Hey Sam,another simple yet great recipe idea!
    Watching you i thought 'Why not make a really big batch of them,and freeze them,so we can always have some handy'?
    So,can we do that and keep them in the freezer?Have you done that?
    Or they might get wet and soggy and lose their firm texture?
    Thanks!
    PS> A great idea to use them would be as a tortilla/crepe,spreading a nut butter on top,a banana and folding them in half.
    (the sweet/non savory ones i mean 😁)

    • @Yes2LifeShow
      @Yes2LifeShow  3 роки тому +1

      Hey, thank you for the comment! I think that should be possible, might be a great idea actually. Maybe after defrosting them, you could heat them a bit in the oven or pan at low heat so the flavor gets stronger again. Alternatively, you could also make more batter, make a few pancakes one day, and keep the rest of the batter in the fridge for more pancakes in the following days! I've done that, the batter was still great after 2-3 days.
      Let us know how the pancakes come out of the freezer in case you do it :)

    • @anambivalentenemy
      @anambivalentenemy 3 роки тому +1

      @@Yes2LifeShow Yeah,i'll definitely do it,because for me the whole process always takes about 45 minutes,which is way longer than i would want.
      I don't know why the pancakes take so long to cook,but the result is the same.
      So,it's way more convenient for me to make a big batch of them and keep them for whenever i feel the need for a breakfast other than oatmeal.
      I haven't thought about the possibility that i keep the batter in fridge and use it day after day though,so thanks for the tip!
      Also,your channel seems to be getting bigger and bigger.That's great news!
      Congrats on your 4k subs!👍💪🥦🥑🍏🍌🥝😉

    • @Yes2LifeShow
      @Yes2LifeShow  3 роки тому +1

      @anambivalentenemy yes good idea to prepare them in advance and take them our for breakfast! Even though frying one pancake just takes like 3-5 minutes, if you make 10, that adds up. Let us know how it'll work for you with freezing! And thanks, yes we finally hit the 4k! :) have a great day!
