This video was supposed to include Castlevania Judgment's version of Vampire Killer as the last song, but it exceeded the 10 minute time limit. Thank UA-cam for that.

Just in case you are wondering, the game for Sega Saturn called Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasoukyoku - Nocturne in the Moonlight is actually the original Japanese name for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. The Saturn version had a slightly bigger map and some more tracks than the Playstation version we are all familiar with.
THESE TRACKS DO NOT BELONG TO ME.
Credit to the Castlevania music tracks/songs goes to KONAMI KuKeiHa CLUB, Sony Music Entertainment, and the following composers:

You know you're badass when your weapon has its own theme song.
*THE WHIP*
This is my whip. There are not many like it, whatever, this one is mine.
..
1986- The birth of one of the best video game chiptunes ever.
Vampire killer facts corrections: the vampire killer started out as the whip of alchemy made by Rinaldo Gandolfi to slay his Vampire daughter after he used it he gave it too Leon Belmont as he thought it would be more of a use to him (play Lament of innocence to get this) when Leon encountered his wife who was now turned into a vampire by Walter she let Leon slay her and let her become one with the whip and since she was a vampire the soul of the vampire in the whip made it extremely effective against any undead even death for this it was called the vampire killer also the whip can turn into a chain whip and fire whip since it was originally the magical whip of Alchemy
Mr Macabre Sounds rather convoluted I guess it was a good attempt at explaining a plotpoint that was established back when developers did not care to much about the story
@@VGPorage It makes a lot more sense than CV 3: Dracula's Curse where a being called the 'Poltergeist King' supposedly gave Trevor Belmont/Ralph Belmondo the Vampire Killer.
"The Sharp X68000 sounds super 80's in that really funky styled way.
In this moment i have tears in my eyes. so Nostalgic dude...
+Eduardo Drozda Bloody tears?
Castlevania: suffice it to say that name to hear wonderful memories from players. Building on the reputation of the series, the game turns out to be simply a must-have KONAMI
this track is so smooth :D
and got a lot of groove :P
Simon Handler I see what you did there...
Simon Handler OMGGGGGGG
***** What a *horrible* -terrible- night to have a curse.
haha! what!? XD!
Best in order.
1. Rondo of Blood
2. NES/MSX (I lumped them together because they sound so similar.)
3. Castlevania 3
4. Dracula X (SNES)
5. Bloodlines
6. X68000
7. Dracula X Chronicles
8. Castlevania 4
9. Nocturne in the Moonlight
10. Dawn of Sorrow
11. Circle of the Moon
12. Order of Shadows
13. Chronicles
Bloodlines version over the Dracula X chronicles version? lol wut?
Dracula X over Castlevania 4? Then again it's your opinion lol
ScarrXIII The Dracula X Chronicles remastered version is way better than 16 chiptune
***** I myself am a fan of 16 bit chiptunes, I have no idea why considering I was born in 2001 XD
ScarrXIII 2001? damn you make me feel old.
One of the best things I have seen on UA-cam. Thank you for making the time to share this with us!
I love how for the first few you actually strung them together and made them fit like a puzzle.
2:07 holy #@&% that's awesome
perfect late 80s/early 90s arcade vibe!
The belmonts whip is known as the vampire killer for a reason it was soaked in the blood of unholy creatures and was given to the the Belmont's by the poltergeist king due to it being dipped in the blood it is very affective against unholy creatures of the night like Dracula
This song brings back so many memories of my childhood and shows how technology has progressed. Its amazing how much the early developers could do with 8-bit sound.
You're doing a great job with this music collections!Castlevania has some fine pieces of audio and most of them improved greatly over the years. Thanks for the music and good luck with your work!
Vampire Killer is one of the songs I hum to my self at any moment, remembering all the good times I had with Castlevania series, I just say: "Oh yeah, it's so beautiful to be alive!".
@RubilacEx In Japan, Castlevania was released first on the Famicom Disk System (the floppy disk add-on for the Famicom) in Japan on Sept. 1986. Vampire Killer MSX was released a month later.
Castlevania has been (and always was) an NES-bred franchise from the start.
This game was the ressurection of vampire coolness the theme alone was awesome and the going through dracula's castle to finally get to him set the stage for the boss mini boss saga in just about every game afterwards
I always found that Castlevania always had the most memorable themes as the first like Vampire killer, Bloody Tears, Dance of the holy man and Alucard's theme
Once upon a time, newcomers on youtube had a 10 minute time limit. I understand from your comment that the value was somewhat expanded. This was posted on 2009 and by then the limit was 10 minutes.
Love This! I remember playing Castlevania on my NES and i remember humming that tune in school. Keep up the good work~
This has to be one of the best tracks in the castlevania series, and my all time favorite.
@Cyberleader12 yeah, I kinda busy with college right now, but I have planned to make a part 2 video of only bloody tears. There's a list of upcoming videos in my channel description.
I love when the piano part comes in on the Super CV IV version of the song.
This song is so great, I wish it was longer. But at least it's had so much variety over the years. I coudl listen to this video on infinate loop forever :]
Whole collection of theme 'Vampire Killer'. I feel it will be better if you make part 1 & 2 together.
Nice job!
Lament of Innocence's staff roll bgm is a remix of Vampire Killer + Bloodlines + Beginning. Lord of Shadows also features VK as a music box bgm.
Uploaded in 240p greatness, I sir salute you with a whip, whipping. *Whips the hell out of a candle*
PSP version is the most faithful modern reproduction of the classic tune. No stupid frills, just really epic Castlevania music.
Best song ever! I cant wait to hear how next remix will sound like.
the Super Castlevania 4 version is just soooo good.
one of the few 10 min videos I can sit trough
Pure awesome! :D
Surprised SotN didn't have a version of this.
Super Castlevania 4 was superb! They change from their game mechanics to their songs. But indeed, i love all Castlevania games! :D
you can hear the Vampire Killer theme in the end titles of Lament of Innocence too.
I like the version in Vampire's Kiss quite a lot. Pity no one's made an on-point mix of this yet.
I have the NES port on the GBA. God this brings back memories of throwing my NES-style GBA SP at walls from medusa head-induced frustration. It's a miracle the thing still works!
I never noticed it before, nice catch!
R.I.P. MJ
@Schwuntz I do think they have their own songs to change from time to time. For me I love all types of song they made. Indeed when I play this game, I can feel the power of Belmont's just hear the song, especially Vampire Killer! XD
man, that rondo of blood version is amazing
Wow, I was surprised how good Castlevania 3's sounded. Good job on the collection. 5*
the limit is 10:59, you can get 11 if YT processing adds on a few seconds
I love this song, and these games, and the whole series. I own just about all of them, excluding the Japanese versions. I get all pumped up when I hear this song, I blast it at red lights and just rock out. Each version just takes me back to when I played that game, so they're all pretty cool in their own way. I can't say which I like the best.
the first one takes me wayyy back
Nice compilation! :D
my favorites vampire killer versions:
1.- rondo of blood
2.- harmony of dissonance
3.- symphony of the night (the trance version)
1:29 is the best, I'd say. Can even hear an organ in there, which is appropriate and cool.
As a fan of the NES Castlevanias, I'd say the Dawn of Sorrow is probably the best remix that stays true to the original song. Some of the others try too much stuff. This one is just right.
Did you know Castlevania The Arcade now has its own orchestral versions of many classic themes? You don't have to add them if you don't want to, it's understandable since Castlevania is such a huge franchise of games.
@Cybrisk Ohhhhh.........cool. Thanks for the info. No wonder I hadn't heard of him, I never played that the Sorrow series, and I sold my DS right before Portrait of Ruin came out.
this is just awesome :D thanks alot
I made a dope dark dubstep remix to this nostalgic song 😅...4 years ago and it barely has 64 views 😫
I like how Vampire Killer is listed as "DEJA VU" in Castlevania III's sound test.
Castlevania! It's quite the game to be playing!
Simon Belmont! What a lovely name to be saying!
For me, the best versions are the X68000, PC Engine and SNES versions (both Dracula X ports). GBA and DS did pretty well with it as well.
Really dug some of the bits on the MSX theme.
@Arcadeprehacked The FDS version (which the NES version was based on) was developed first, and the MSX version was developed later. In the MSX version, the "FC.TEAM" (i.e., the developers of the FDS version) gets a special thanks in the credits.
Curses! I was going to make such a video myself until I found this. Good collection overall, however, there is missing a couple versions from it, namely Vampire Killer from MS DOS and Amiga ports of Castlevania, as well as the two Roland synthesizer versions from Akumajoo Dracula for Sharp X68000. In addition, with some of the versions, the loop was cut before it was over, which is a pity.
Hm... Perhaps I will make my own version after all.
No, Akumajo Dracula X68000 was later released as Castlevania Chronicles, with upgrades here in the U.S.
Rondo of Blood and the japanese version of CV3 features my two favorite version. Super Castlevania would be my 3rd fav.
@Duncham Good point, although, for me that's a win-win, cuz I like both styles really. If they do 'em right, of course.
Wow, MSX2 version and Turbo Duo ones is pretty cool.
Castlevania IV and Circle of The Moon is my fav.
One thing, the UA-cam's limit is 11:00 (I think)
Nice video! =D
Castlerude - Vaniastorm?
Very Nice compilation, one of my fave game music :)
I prefer Chronicles version.
To me its perfect mix of rock, techno and gothic music.
Which one
I just started playing the first Castlevania. It's pretty cool.
In my honest opinion, Castlevania NES, Castlevania III, Super Castlevania IV, and Dawn of Sorrows hold the best mix of Vampire Killer. I am not kidding! ;)
@beybladestar
no, its 10:59
and if your video happens to be 1 second over 10:59 (sometimes a second gets added in the processing) they have a exception for 11:00....although anything over that they reject
Gotta love the Circle of the Moon version. Many an hour was spent killing that Devil in the hallway to grind levels while listening to that song. :3
Actually if I had the judgment version, the video would be ~11 minutes and 34 seconds and I can't have more than ten minutes. Thanks for commenting and rating!
The MSX2 was pretty good.I'm really suprised :3
@Verethan some of those are essentially saying *insert comment*. In fact, most of these comments are just to get thumbs. You're argument is invalid.
Back when you can still jumped and fall into the pit... Couldn't swing the whip around. And had time limit per stage! But no matter how advance this series is, you must destroy the candles!!!!
Circle of the Moon brought back memories! T_T. I wish I had the game back!
ahh...gotta love the Vampire Killer techno remix from Chronicles :)
Super Castlevania's version is my personal favorite. Love it.
Never played Chronicles, but I really hope they used that rendition of Vampire Killer for the final boss.
I love 90s stuff. very groovy.
If only Konami will remaster Super Castlevania with 7.2 orchestra music and full hd graphics it'll be uber epic...
Actually, Castlevania (Devil's Castle Dracula in Japan) WAS called "Vampire Killer" when it was ported the MSX 2 computer system.
I bet finding that remix of Vampire Killer back then was like finding the Troughback Galaxy in SMG2.
@MightyKombat Yeah, sure. I already have planned to do Cross Your Heart, I'll add Reincarnated Soul to the list of upcoming videos.
Castlevania 1 and Circle of the Moon are my favorites for this tune.
Man, the Chronicles version is badass!
Agreed, Castlevania just have a complete remake (the PSP game) the Super Castlevania 4 is totally different to Castlevania.
Yeah I guess you're right lol. I didn't waste my time on it either I just listened to the music and called it a day. :P
All we can ask for. This video
Okay, I happened to be eating a leg of lamb when I orginally posted this. The original manual says it's a pork chop, although it's somewhat large to be one. Frankly, it could be anything.
No contest so far. Super Castlevania 4's version of "Vampire Killer" RULES!!!
for some reason i love the circle of the moon version!
i love how order of shadows went back to the original. :D
I always prefered the "Legends" variant of series beginnings. It is pretty elegant and leaves much less holes than "Lament" one.
I like castlevania 4 music the best because it sounds really good but still has that retro feel to it.
The Belmonts should really meet Edward.
btw awesome vid!
It's a common mistake. I know VK came before CV1, but I was too lazy to do further research on the release dates and I only cared about the year of release. Either way, I followed the order used on Mr. Perfect's Castlevania Realm.
@guaskoqizz No you see, in the through back galaxy music from super Mario 64 plays, I'm pritty sure that people who crave nostalgia freaked when they seen that. Similer to how people who played the first castlvania and heard vampire killer were probably surprised to hear the remix in the next castlvania games.
For future reference, you probably could have fit the last song in there. UA-cam will actually allow videos up to 10:59, and on occasion I've gotten 11:00 videos to work (though it's intermittant)
nice work .... thx 4 it.
