I know Vampire Killer is from the first Castlevania game, but I first heard it while playing Circle of the Moon, going through the observation tower. I recently replayed the game and I fell back in love with it. So much that it has made me also play SotN, which I never played before. Love this series 🔥

The NUMBER ONE thing I enjoy about hearing Castlevania tunes being orchestrated is the high energy in the lead guitar. The orchestra was great but the guitar setup just completely destroyed it, literally speaking. The guitar was extremely dry, generally overpowering during ryhthm notes (soundman), and the leads were as muddy as a wet fart in underwear. Bridge dives are in my opinion, part of the badass-ness that I would expect in these tunes. I'd hire a new guitar player the next time...
My thought also. The guitarist ruined it all. I thought to myself "he probably just started playing guitar for about 3 months ago". And they should've just skipped the guitar completely. Totally misplaced for the event
