Iron blue intention has always been my most favorite song in the Castlevania series and I still remember hearing it reappearing in portrait I was so happy to hear it in a new title
virusinfection1 Guess what? There’s a brand new remix of it in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
I know said that Smooth McGroove should make a remix of Divine Bloodlines before but for this video, Smooth McGroove should make a remix of Iron Blue Intention.
Eric Lecarde should have been playable in Harmony of despair as the only Lancer.
in castlevania, the underrated tracks are usually the best ones imo.
While I'll admit I'm still too attached to the Genesis version to agree that the Judgement mix is the best, I will admit it's the richest in terms of sound.
All four versions of this are MASTERPIECES. I will love this song for ALL eternity. :)
Note, the Judgement version is one of FEW good songs from that games lackluster soundtrack. -_-
Iron Blue Intention is so underrated!
One of my favorite CastleVania Music, but only présent in 3 game. :(
All of Bloodlines' tunes are quite underrated imo. As far as I know, only PoR and that first GBA game had a tune from bloodlines, and I think that reborn version has bloodlines' tune of the first stage
When I go on a trip to Germany... I will play this song.
This song is amazing, you also can listen some extracts on PoR credits.
I can't believe it took me SOOOOOOO MANY YEARS to realize just how AMAZING this track was... I guess because my only knowldge of this track was through Judgment (never played any of the games Eric came from prior), and since Eric was an annoying spoiled aristocrat (in that game), I didn't bother giving this track a chance... While Vampire Killer and Bloody Tears are a bit more iconic (to me.... (damn, my age coming through)), this song is rather epic!!!!
I don't know why but Bloodlines and Circle of the Moon hold some of my favorite versions of Castlevania music...
CotM definitely has the best version of the old Sinking Sanctuary..
One of the best CV tracks! I love the heavy metal version!
The Portrait of Ruin version is brilliant!!
Wounderful
Yep, Owning Bloodlines on my Genesis and especially loving this level still makes me a succker for this song on games I'vve never played.
Dude I seriously did that with this track.
I love this songs
Mirror of Fate is not that bad (it being a sidescroller GOW clone, like you mentioned). Freaking hard though if you have not played it yet.
5:03 its really EPIC!
I STILL remember the train that tries to push you to the previous screen in 13th Street...I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO KILL ME the first time around! Of course, you need to push against it with both Johnathan & Charlotte...
This belongs on the genesis, it just fits its audio chip so well!
I love this collection
1) Yeah. You can tell that the MegaDrive/Genesis wasn't made with quality sound in mind. This only serves to further highlight that.
2) I'll get back to you after I've heard #3.
3) I think this one was slightly better than #2.
4) Strangely enough, I think I actually prefer this one over the rest.
I love the judgement version because it sounds the most advanced buuuuuuuuttttt....... originally the track was supposed to be more menacing because it was for the WWI German level in Blood Lines. The thing is this is Eric's song in Judgement and he's from Spain so they Spaniardized it by putting acoustic guitars and clackers, which makes it sort of unfitting for the tune.
Also it would be kind of cool if in the plot of Blood Lines, Dracula assassinated Archduke Ferdinand and caused WWI.
So fucking epic. Can't stop slaying vampires.
This and Crucifix Held Close/Cross Your Heart kicks arse :D
Bloodlines ver is the best
i hope this one show someday in LoS, i think this one fits in that game
Love this track. I'd go for PoR's (not arranged) as my favorite!
This track sounds fitting for a train, a zeppelin, an airplane, or a yard/hangar for any of those (pre-1946).
This is a great song. I want to hear this played with a real orchestra or a good arrangement! The Judgment version is the most advanced but it's not so good.
The Simon with lots of belts on his costume and oddly not where it should be? (his waist)
eric lecarde doesn't envy the whip ._. and he's not a child, he's even older than john morris :/
@juan951236478 :D me too, que bueno que a otra persona de idioma español le guste esta musica
This one always made want to pwn the bejeezus out of this level.
all castlevania songs rlz so hard
Judgement versoin sounds like it should be in zelda's hyrule/termina field
I have to admit, the best version is the Judgement one. Even if they ruined most of the characters and its the worst game in the series the music is still very great!
I think order of ecclesia was kind of worse. it's the only game I can't go back to and play again. once was enough
Judgement is a flawed game, but the worst? Nah, its a good enough fighter and it did a good job fleshing out some of the characters. The worst Castlevania is more likely Simon's Quest or Haunted Castle
Bloodlines almost best ver.
begins 1:09 minutes into the genius
@ZeroX1803 Summon the belmonts.....
@juan951236478 by the way, do you speak spanish?
@ThePageofCups but still sort of redundent ^_^
Eric LeCarde rocks!!!
@Fimbulvetr13 For me, it was Sinking Old Sanctuary.
in judgment i always thought eric was a girl until i saw that his name was eric, that prissy little brat....
Judgement THE BEST
6 TWILIGHT vampires detected!
my character of castlevania is dracula
in bloodlines, when is this played?
a child who envy's the whip becuse he can't use it
@granis1233 Different arrangements.
sega is the best
Maybe because Eric only appeared in those three games ?
the music is played when you go to the 13th street XD
Judgement fucked with nothing. It doesn't contradict any of the previous storylines. And keep in mind that character's like Simon, Grant, and Trevor had no character or personality to speak of, so if anything, Judgement made them better.
Eric LeCarde!
@blackeyedp7
Dont worry so did i
and now...Smash Bros. Ultimate
why includ bote from the same game -.-
@juan951236478 thanks

Oh God... in Castlevania Judgement Eric LeCard is a kid o.O
Judgement fucked up the whole characthers' storyline and and everthing! What the hell is that gay Simon?
And people saied the Megadrive couldn't do quality music...
Who in the hell said that? The Genesis had a boss soundchip as far as synthesized music went (as opposed to the sample-synth music of the SNES)... I'd take it over the majority of DOS soundcards anyday.
Bialex I still prefer SNES's soundchip, but I have to admit, Bloodlines music sounds fantastic! And of course there are many games that sounds amazing on Genesis.
PivotalGreatthing The problem is that most non-japanese composers, when composing for the Genesis, never got Sega's official sound development kit for some reason, and therefore since many of them weren't very experienced in custom waveform synthesis, decided to just use the DOS-like midi soundset.
they have no idea...
i mean - the streets of rage OSTs are the best example....
