Just in case you are wondering, the game for Sega Saturn called Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasoukyoku - Nocturne in the Moonlight is actually the original Japanese name for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. The Saturn version had a slightly bigger map and some more tracks than the Playstation version we are all familiar with.
THESE TRACKS DO NOT BELONG TO ME.
Credit to the Castlevania music tracks/songs goes to KONAMI KuKeiHa CLUB, Sony Music Entertainment, and the following composers:

**barbarian grunt**
woosh woosh woosh
**death gets decked in the face with a cross**
Here's a sad fact, here may never be another new official version of VK
Unless someone buys castlevania from konami.
+RetroRepair SHUT UP, YOU LIAR, THAT'S NOT TRUE, I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THAT! T.T
+RetroRepair They actually make new versions of official music for the Pachinko machines IIRC. Or they just reuse old ones.
FucKonami
Good news = Lords of Shadow has a version in it, so there are already more professional versions released...!
Better news = There is a NEW Castlevania game to be released later in 2017, so there is a high potential for a NEW VK we haven't heard yet!! The list isn't dead, yet!! XD

The bitrate and volume on the 3 NES ones is fucked.
Probably due to copyright.
''Gekka No Yasoukyoku'' (Maria/Entrance) is a real good version!
Circle of the moon has the bestversion, period.
Si, es fascinante, nostálgico e invaluable
....
There was a special remix of Vampire Killer for a secret boss in Contra: Hard Corps, another Konami game, which really deserves to be included here.
if you didnt knew, The Sharp X68000 had many midi chips, one of them was the SC-55. In my opinion that chip gave us the best version of the vampire killer, you should listen to it, you wont regret it
Holy freaking Moly! the Arcade version is so epic and perfect!
Well, after two years you finally made it! And it's a great list! Well done, scigamerfan07!
Hey Ressurection, Yu-Gi-Oh wants his notes back!
Arcade, CotM and Dracula X Chronicles are the best in my opinion.
CotM's is intense
*ahem* 4:56
Circle of Moon is better , dude
Me an intellectual: 23:18
my favourites: Dracula X Chronicles, Circle of the moon and Judgment ;-)
I love Underground Garden version from Saturn's Akumajou Dracula X: Gekka no Yasoukyoku too ;)
Dracula X chronicles / Pachi-Slot: Akumajo Dracula version FTW !!!
11:20 Harmony of Dissonance still one of my favorite renditions.
Someone fucked up with the Amiga theme.
Lordy, the HoD version is one of my favorite. I love ALL the music in that game, it's so..... catchy...
You've got exactly 1111 subs. Congratulation!
I still like the Super Castlevania IV version the best. It has some unique touches to it that aren't found in any other version.
To be honest guys one of my best is Circle of the Moon so many good;)
Data4664 Yeah, somehow it sounds more evil and gloomy.
+AGU! Nope I can not read minds ha ha ha buy anyway Konami have ruined the series last year so IGA (CV boss) great too see him back with new gmae form him in 2017.
Imagine this for the ending of Lords of Shadow 2. Dracula stops Satan's plan, and looks around for Zobek, demanding he let him die, snarling about another betrayal.
In enters Victor Belmont, the last of his line, shouting the famous line. "Die monster! You don't belong in this world!"
The fight begins as expected, with you dodging the whip and trying to get your own attacks in, with a new song, and something out of place in the background. As the fight goes on, and Victor starts using more subweapons, from the Axe to Holy Water, the song grows louder and louder. And in the final phase of the fight, you finally realize what the song was.
Vampire Killer.
stop spoiling, thx
Before anyone thinks he's serious, check the dates. I posted my comment months before the game was released.
have my first lords of shadow run through right now. didnt played it in 2010 when it came out, shitty magazinies spoiled me by sayin who dracula realy is. want to burn them all. never forget the point where i also got spoiled with red dead redemption and john marstons fate. ruined the experience a lot.
Steve Warris To be fair, literally everything post LoS spoils THAT twist. Hell, look at the box for Lords of Shadow 2.
Steve Warris BTW thats not the ending lol
Yeah, I hope they go back to the old style of Symphony soon.
I actually really like the Lords of Shadow version. And given that the version was played inside a music box, it makes sense for it to sound like one. Truth be told, it's a very subtle addition, and is quite nice to me. Granted, I do so love the original versions, too.
Legends sounds like it could be perfect for some kind of final battle.
I frijjen love the Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasoukyoku version :P
And many of the other ones but that one is so funky and eerie.
I love how you kept the best for last as well. Well one of the best :P
23:19 when me and my friends first heard that we were like: HELL YEAH LETS WHIP SOME VAMPIRES!!!!
Best video game series out there IMO
i closed my eyes, listening them songs and then my mind remember them run, jump, and whip action, haha
How many Castlevania games are there!!........27 ()_()
my favorites: Symphony of the NIght, Harmony of Despair, and Judgment.
My favorite is Dawn of sorrow version,Judgement & Dracula x chi no rondo 1993(PC-engine:turbo duo/PSP/Wii.)
1.- Original Nes
2.- Circle of the Moon
3 .- SNES Dracula X
4.- Harmony of Despair
5.- Harmony of Dissonance
I'd kick off the #1: sure it was good at the time, but it can't compete with the others. I agree the Circle of the Moon's version was special.
I love all of the list :)
Doesn`t seem that Akumajo Dracula: The Arcade (2009) [Arcade] First Stage Boss and Castlevania Judgment was really a Full song, omg :o
But my first favorite is NES Castlevania and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, equal complete :) Thats where I heard a lot more than others.
Second to my favorite is Castlevania: Harmony of Despair.
Castlevania Legends was pretty weird song i ever heard ._."
Lords of Shadow does in fact have Vampire Killer in it.
Chronicles is hands down the best verson
Oh, thx man, i'd never noticied!
awesome video, which is this tesla coil playing?
/watch?v=SqF3Wp2D_OM
Man I kind of wished Resurrection was not canceled. That would have been cool if that was the game that saved the Dreamcast.
1: Akumajo Densetsu
2: X68000
3: Original Castlevania
4: Rondo Of Blood
5: Super Castlevania IV
THE THEME OF PLATFORMING!
Favorites: Super Castlevania 4, Rondo of Blood, Bloodlines, Resurrection, NITM Castle Entrance as Maria, Chronicles, Akumajo Dracula, Dracula X,
Arcade Stage 1 boss, and Harmony of Despair
I think the "Resurection" is a fake, since this game was never released and there are very little official information about it. Also, the song starts with the same intro as "Snow White Queen", an Evanescence's song form 2006. Someone has plagiarized here.
In the description is says that the music in this collection is only from the Castlevania games.
Uh... some soundtracks are quite as fuck, this is a big issue...
Satoe Terashima is the composer of the Vampire Killer theme: castlevania.wikia.com/wiki/Satoe_Terashima
Amazing song! Very nice arrangements in all other games. The arrangers of this theme made an amazing work too.
Dadada-da-da, da-da-da da da da-daaa.
Dadada-da-da, da-da-da da da da-daa-dah!
Dam-dam, dabedada, dam-de-da-da dam dabedada-dabedadam!
Dam-dam, dabedada, dam-de-da-da dam dabedada-dabedadam!
Dam dam, de da da, dam dam de daaah!
Dam dam, de da da, dam dam de daaah, dam de DAH!
Dabedada! (Dum-dum-da-da, dum-dum-da-da!)
Dabedada! (Dum-dum-da-da, dum-dum-da-da!)
The Amiga version causes instant ear aches and deafness
Dont you mean the Legends version?
+joão carlos Some of the notes on the Amiga version are not in tune. Most are a half step down or up from the proper sound.
+MessinWitChimps Films
To be fair, both versions are terrible. Its just that the Legends version sounds like an 8-bit mess.
You're right. After re-listening to the Legends version, I got ear rape after the first note.
+MessinWitChimps Films
Too metal for you to handle, i suppose.
I would put Castlevania Legends as one of my favorite versions of the song, i like how fast paced it is.
1. Castlevania the Adventure ReBirth
2. Castlevania Judgment
3. Castlevania: Harmony of Despair
4. Akumajo Dracula X68000
5. Akumajo Dracula X: Castle Entrance (Maria)
Get your whips, knives, axes, bibles, crosses, holy water, stop watch, swords, spears, maces, magic, runes, monster souls, kung fu skills, animals, RPGs, lead filled teddy bears, cream pies, paper airplanes, and all sorts of other nonsense ready. It's time to kill a Vampire...
that castlevania judgement tough
My three favorites:
1 Castlevania: Rondo of Blood
2 Castlevania Judgement
3 Castlevania: Harmony of Despair
Am I the only one that in the newer ones, the whistle part got altered and to me sounds much worse
castlevania legends version is ear-rape
Suprise EarSex!!
Harsh, but still sounds great. Always surprised by the awesome music in classic gameboy games!
the legends version is fucking shit sorry
10 Draculas disliked, 1,028 Belmonts liked.
Pity that the good sound of Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (Ver.Japanese,"Akumazyou Densetsu")did not hear in a foreign country at that time.
Where can I find the original track for 17:08?
Is it just translated to Castlevania the Arcade?
You forgot the Lords of Shadow Music Box version!
Johnny Crotchet Lords of Shadows is not Castlevania.
It is what castlevania 64 should have been
I personally dont see why your getting so much hate, i personally think alternate timelines are like a different flavor of cookies (or how well cooked your porkchop is donen:p)
People are always goimg to argue about thease types of things. I got mirrior of fate, as much of the story felt wierd to me, i still thought it was a fairly good game!
Forgot the Konami Wai Wai World version and the Contra: Hard Corps version.
There is no clear winner, and this isn't even close to my favorite Castlevania theme, but only one really stood out: the Circle of the Moon version. That version plays during the hardest and darkest part of the game with Devil, Legion, Minotaurs and Dark Armors.
With every update of this track , I get chills ! Such an Awsome track!!!!!!!!!
Really love this song. Need this for my ringtone. :P
Chronicles, SC4, X68000, Judgement Famicon CV3, DoS and Dracula X are all the best. Bloodlines, Legends, CoTM, both SOTN versions, Order of Shadows, Order of Ecclesia, Ressurection, and Amiga are all awful
Ugh, I hate when I watch this on an Ipad and have to sit through the Order of Shadows version. It makes me sleepier than CotM's version.
If I remember correctly, it was. That might have been Simon's theme though
They better play this in the Netflix series....
castlevania best music ever in 27 versions : D
my fav is the Circle of the moon verison
This soundtrack is just... legendary! :D
I think the "Resurection" is a fake, since this game was never released and there are very little official information about it (only two videos shown on E3 and an not recorded interview). Also, the song starts with the same intro of "Snow White Queen", an Evanescence's song from 2006. Someone has plagiarized here.
The game's assigned composer posted music he designed for the game on his website a long time ago.
There should be a tower of dolls collection
yes i do. it means directly copying something. for example, lords of shadow plagiarized shadow of the colossus
From what I see, Castlevania Judgment ruined everything and Castlevania Harmony of Despair patched it up and fixed it.
This is my jam! If one of the famous vampire characters from Castlevania was driving with you in your car would it be rude to play this song?
The Amiga version has a lot of off-key notes. A shame because the Amiga had amazing sound hardware. I'm sure it could have had a great rendition of this song.
Dracula X chronicles, reminds me of Phoenix wright music, for some odd reason
I really like the Harmony of Despair version. I wish they would have put original music in the new Lords of Shadow.
Sooo Go to the beginning of the Castlevania Resurrection song and then go listen to the beginning of Evanesence's Snow White Queen... I'm just so... I dunno how to feel
Yeah, I did. I didn't even knew there was a Lords of Shadow version, but since I just uploaded this one, I'll wait until the sequel and the 3ds midgame have their soundtracks released and I'll update the video again. I did hear the lords of shadow version, but it sounded like a very slow and quiet music box tune that I don't think many people would like to hear in comparison to the other versions.
Aside from the original composition, I always go with Rondo of Blood's version.
the Castlevania the Adventure Rebirth version sounds like it was ripped straight from Dracula X
Castlevania Chronicles rules :P
Harmony of Dissonance combined two of my most favorite Castlevania songs
The rebirth series was amazing, VK never sounded so good
Dracula X chronicles & Pachi-Slot:akumajo dracula 2009 are same version.
Hey how about God of Plagiarism? it got some awesome fight such as Kratos Vs Chronous,Gaia,Poseidon, queen of Furies etc you know? have a try it is a great game.
enough of this Plagiarism bullshit..
castlevania legend's version was the best in my opinion
it's too fast, too noisy and it has a weird variation of the original structure of the song.... No, thanks.
SCV4 Still My Favorite To This Day... AWSOME!!!!
Doesn't have this version of Vampire Killer ( ua-cam.com/video/0QvJ2an9oUg/v-deo.html ) so it's -1000 points
Some of these remixes teach me of games I didn't even know about before
The version from Rondo of Blood is cut short unfortunately...
Am I the only one that noticed the Harmony of Dissonance logo looks like Australia?
All these comments praising the Circle of the Moon version, and here I thought I was the only one!
It does have some of the old metroidvania elements, as re-exploring areas with new skills and leveling up your weapons.
10:00
O_o One of these themes is not like the others...
Nice avatar pal
Akumajo Dracula: The Arcade (First Stage Boss)
No problem.
You've got some sound problems in this--some versions much quieter than others.
that's not here because its a Contra Game, and not a Castlevania game, the list as you've clearly seen is only Castlevania games, and I know about that little easter egg in Contra HC
yes that may be true but this video has time limit......it's like the bloody tears collection, he couldn't put judgements version and another version either like he said in the desc. Maybe he just chose the ones he preffered more and left the others because he can't literally put ALL remixxes into a single video.
While I do admit the Saturn version of SotN lacks some effects and has a longer loading time. this, is the reason why I like the Saturn version over the PS version.
yeah man, classic castlevania soundtracks are more "actiony"
