Very, very important with these engines. Have to program them because if previous injector was on the high end of injection rate and new one is on the low end (manufacturing can not be the same so you have codes for the ecm to know.) the engine will not run smooth and cannot adjust the extremes sides of flow rate of injectors. If you replace all 4 injectors you can hear the difference. Also you have to drive the car , accelerate to 3500 rpm, let the car go without touching gas or brakes a few times until its reaches 1750 rpm (in min 3 th gear watch out for speeding tickets :). Official citroen policy is too much, the ecm will learn futher on its own, you just have to give the fist "Quick learn" and the engine wil run smooth as new.
I always wonder what happened between the end of the take where a part that needs to come out is still stuck and the beginning of the next take where the part comes out as if it is supposed to come out just like that. In this video, the air filter housing is an example of such a part. Is it a few minutes of pointless airbox wiggling? Or maybe a few strong words? Or a loud plastic-on-metal scraping sound?
I put the airbox out several Times. Its all three oft them 😊 There is one special position, front right up and back down i think, then it works out better. But be careful- there are 2 plastic rings, that fit on 2 Spikes. If these break, the air box will wiggle around.
my (only) experience trying to replace injector seals on this engine involved a retightened bolt that sheared when trying to remove and a 'mushroomed' injector tip that made it almost impossible to remove. garage drilled old bolt out and eventually managed to pull stuck injector with two crowbars..
Thing to be wary of on these & the 1.4's is the ecu's short internally on the injector driver circuits - so you check wiring, change the injector, blah blah - and it still won't work right. Only solution then is send the ecu off to be repaired. Test for that is to measure resistance across the ecu's output plug to the injectors - each injector has a pair of connectors - whichevers borked will be the odd one/two out. That can cause a lot of head-scratching & parts cannon action on these.
@@dustyfruitypie1633 You'd need to back-probe it with an oscilloscope to see the ecu trigger pulses. Multimeter wouldn't really do it. Or lack of trigger pulses..
Got a 2012 Mazda 3 , injector 2 failed and car went nuts . Impossible to drive and bizarre lights on dash , reported faults with Abs and traction control just because injector failed . New injector fitted , cleared all codes and runs lovely
I have Peugeot with same engine. One injector broke and car went absolutely crazy. All different lights in dashboard. About minut or two to 60 kmh acceleration. Luckily I reached the repair shop.
Yes you do, 6 digit code on top of injectors, and needs pilot learning also if replacing all 4. Clamps are known to crack also best to get new ones when fitting a new injector. I got 4 new ones from Ford, they've a revised part, cost 50 quid
what about injector code to set injector Correction factor from the scan tool.

He probably did code it , just didn’t show it , Jimmy isn’t stupid he knows his stuff 🤙
So thanks a lot our teacher

Thanks Jimmy Best man on da job 👍 keep up with your great work, have a lovely week
Like a true professional he makes it look easy to fix a problem when it' certainly isn't.
Carry on the great work Sir..🚐👍
What was the Milwaukee tool you used to measure AC switching at the harness please?
What meter is that you used that pulses with the injector to test
Did you put a new plastic bush on the injector body Jimmy?

I thought he checked the plug socket, which connects to the injector, with a multimeter. Is that what you meant?

great to see a turbo at the front

and all with one hand😀
good day sir
Do you need to code in the new injector or not?
Great video 👍🏻
injector correction, factor coding?

it is necessary to write the code of the injector in the control unit, because it will not work correctly
Jimmy another class video.......Can you do a video on citroen berlingo 1.6hdi Injector rubber seals........I find that hard to do ...Thanks 👍
top
Everything he does, makes it seem so easy 🙄 😉
Did you not have to code injector in?
Im interesting how much mileage/kilometres has that vehicle?
I wish my vivro 1 was that easy
Somebody set up a go fund me to buy jimmy some latex gloves 😂
Are you mobile again now then Jimmy?
cool😊😊
