Formed in Germany right at the end of the sixties by guitarist Rudolf Schenker, the Scorpions released a number of successful albums in the seventies before exploding globally in the eighties and early nineties with hits such as Rock You Like A Hurricane and Wind Of Change.
This concert was recorded in 2000 with the world-famous Berliner Philharmoniker orchestra. It contains a string of Scorpions classics such as Big City Nights, Dynamite, Wind Of Change and Still Loving You, performed by the band with full orchestral support.

I miss the late 80's and early 90's really effin bad and am not kidding. This song instantly brings me back to being a 17 year old again when the song first came out.

His favorite song was "Still loving you". Whenever I listen to the Scorpions, I remember Francis Uncle too. Great Music & that great guy. 🤗

Work of art. Flawless voice after all these years. I remember being 15 yrs old and watching the wall come down separating East and West Germany on television. This song fills me with nostalgia, wonder and pride.

I remember watching the wall come down and hearing this. I remember thinking my enemy that I had trained to kill in the Marines had been released from bonds I had not known about. It was a powerful time ...... for the time being. We were the last Cold War vets. I'll never forget it as long as I live. I understood the world unlike I was taught and trained. They were young men like me, we just spoke differently........ I'm grateful we never met during that time.

Love the scorpions in the beginning and to the end one of the greatest bands of all time and really put an exclamation point to a period of my life as a young man.
Never lived in Cold War Times, but this song is always make my eyes wet - it's really bittersweet requiem for those hard times.
That's pretty cool you get it, it's part of the collective human experience, one in so many of our brothers.
