Indian’s amca is only on the drawing board, as just like all of their military “made in India” dream, takes 20-30 years to materialise, and even then more than 70% are all imported parts(tejas, Vikrant etcs)
Turkish’s Khaan relies on the west for its engine, so not truly an independent manufacturer.
Korean’s KF-21 is not even a fifth GEN fighter to begin with, and again most of the parts relies on the US.
in light of the above, the only truly one left is the China’s FC-31/35, they basically made everything themselves including the engine.

A good video, let me provided some supplement.
    1:44 and 2:46
Shenyang's 5th gen figher concept, now is known as the J-19 "Snowy Owl", ironically, was failed because it strictly followed the PLAAF's requirements (which is they're good at). Somehow the PLAAF initially request that their 5gen fighter will have range no shorted than Su-27, stealth capability, and strangely, high AoA performance that could keep at least *70 degrees of steady high AoA flight and maneuver.*
This is what you can see on the J-19 - 3-surface configuration, with crank delta wing and LEX, to provided the required high AoA capability, and a scale that even larger than the current J-20 (some source claimed over 22 meters, almost equivalent to Mig-31, and its internal weapon bay is large enough to carrying anti-ship missiles.
The price, however, is the stealth capability. The J-19's radar profile, from one source that being used as the textbook (could have some declassification) of aircraft stealth designs (I personally read this book before since I study aviation engineering myself), is just equal or slightly better than the Su-57, which is actually also the initial requirements - specifically, the requirement of stealth performance is an average RCS of 0.3m2 in forward hemisphere. This is just slightly better than Su-57's 0.4m2. (This is average value, and cannot be directly compared to F-22's 0.001m2, which is the minimal peak value in front angle.)
And once again, like the things happened in the biding of J-10 and J-13 (in case you don't know that's Shenyang's 4rd gen fighter concept, basically a merge of Mirage F1 and F-16), Chengdu teached the PLAAF that they were knowing how the 5th gen fighter will fight better than air force themselves. They managed to persuaded the AF that stealth should be more important than maneuverability, and AF changed their ideas. The rest are the history, the J-20 wins.
The J-19 itself actually have some relations to the J-31/35 project. Also in around 2001-2008, there is a Shenyang's stealth fighter design rumored online, called "New 93". It it said to evolved from the deep modification effort to the Flankers, they changed the sweep wings to delta wings, reshaped the cranked LEX to be a round one, and rearranged the fuselage, making the aircraft slowly became to looked less like a Flanker and more like a F-22. The final J-31/35 design could be a scaled down (the New 93 is also a heavy fighter like the J-19) version of it.
    5:55 and 7:22
The initial FC-31 prototype, later being called "FC-31 1.0", is actually a demostrator, both to build an actual aircraft for the J-31 project, and to demonstrated the new way that Shenyang developed to rapidly design and build a new aircraft. This aircraft actually build in *two years* instead of four, with only 18 months for design and 6 months for construction, if my memory is right. Shenyang demostrated using digital twins to rapidly iterating the design, and using 3D printing to rapidly build prototypes. That is to said, the design method that US try to utilized in their 6th gen fighter project, has actually being used by China in their 5th gen! (I personally know someone worked in Shenyang, and his thoughts about the 'rapid interation' ideas in the NGAD is like, "They really think this is something new? Did American think only them knows how to build an aircraft digitally?" )
    13:14
The J-31 have these claimed performance numbers, because PLAAF wanna it to be capable to replaced the J-10 one by one. So, almost every single performance of the initial version of J-31 are identical to the J-10C, like the maximum speed of Mach 1.8, and capable to carrying at least 4 AAMs in the internal bay.
Due to the situation of the time it was designed (J-10 was conceptualized as early as late 1980s, way before the Soviet collapse and even more way ahead of the design of Lavi - so you know it's nonsense bullshit that J-10 is a copy of Lavi. J-10 did have some relationships with Lavi in terms of avionics and other onboard system though, since Israelis sold some of their products to China after it was cancelled to retrieve some loss), the J-10 is still more or less an point-defense interceptor, and therefore have high top speed, good celling (althought official number is 50,000ft, both J-10A and J-10Cs can frequently reached above 60,000ft and still capapble to do maneuvers up to 6G+ to kill the target if they need to), in exchange of smaller internal fuel (only 2,950kg, over 500 pounds less than F-16) and shorter internal range.
But here could have some mistake - the 1,250km number should be the combat radius, not the range; it's the same combat radius that J-10C performing A2A interception mission, carrying 3x drop tanks (2x1,200 and 1x1,000kg), 2x radar homing and 2x IR homing missiles, at H-H-H profiles. The J-31, presumably as its successor, should be able to make this will only internal weapon and fuel load.

The story was by the time J-11s are being produced by the end of 1990s, China was very unsatisfied with the N001 radar and domestic radar that's signifcantly lighter and better performance was inserted into the airframe. However, it messed up the aerodynamics so much that first prototype almost crashed. lead weights carefully into the radar section to make it even flyable. It took nearly half a decade of work before SAC was able to balance the plane properly by using composite material, integerade domestic systems properly via J-11Bs and later J-16s.

even if china did rip the entire plans and specs for the F-35 theres no reason why they would copy/paste it. They could just use that as a comparison for their own testing. I think it stands to reason they would afterall want to beat their adversary, not just meet them at the same level. Do consider that 20 years ago a chinese car was some 3 wheel bubble with a scooter engine and now they are mass building cars that actually meet requirements for exports - so they are clearly quite good at improvement and iteration when they put their minds to it. Good video with a well-reasoned cautious analysis. As Millenium7* has noted, this stuff is far too complicated for straight 'rip off' copying. The copying and espionage are definitely happening, but those claiming Chinese stuff is all copies are just indulging in Olympic-class cope that promotes head-in-the-sand conclusions.
On the 5th gen attributes, I confess I'm more interested in the networking capability of this and the J-20 than their stealth. The stealth is important, but it's hard to tell how valuable it is for the Chinese concept of operations. For example, if (speculating) the J-20 is intended as an AWACs & tanker killer, then moderately effective forward-aspect LO + a really good long range AAM would make a very effective combo. If that were the case, the Chinese may have made the judgement that the effort to further reduce RCS is better spent on more lethal AAMs.

People think copying an aircraft is easy, but it's not. Changing even one inch of an aircraft means you have to change and test all the systems again. It's not like math homework where you can just copy and paste. For example, if you change the radar, you need to change all the software. If you change the missile, you need to adjust all the targeting systems. So, you can't completely copy an aircraft. Some say certain planes are copies of the F-35, but that's not true. They might be inspired by the F-35, and some technology might have been stolen by Chinese hackers. If that happened, first, the CIA should be ashamed for not noticing, and second, you should acknowledge that the Chinese are very hard-working. Competing with Western technology isn't as easy as it seems.

Copy pasting plans doesn't make a 5th gen fighter.
If you don't do the research, you don't know the pro's and cons of certain design points.
FWIW Russia's development programs are done in 10's (10 prototypes, 2 of those have the most recent designs and equipment and can be shown as "operational").
That is why we don't see SU-57's or T-14 Armata's (the same deal for Russian tank development. 10 prototypes, 2 rolling tanks).
Russia does their own development though. So they might know what they are talking about.

As we all know, Russia has enough projects that are very good, but it does not have enough opportunities to complete all these projects, on the other hand, China has the money and the ability to produce everything anyone can imagine. In addition, Russia has everything it needs such as all kinds of metals and non-metals as well as gas that has been sold to China for a long time, we have all heard that Russia and China are much more Of the allies, Russia and China have the highest degree of cooperation that anyone in the world has, and that is why I think that they will work together on this aircraft, using the experience of aircraft such as the MiG-31 and the SU 57, with the help of these technologies, Russia and China can build the best aircraft in the world, in sufficient numbers for both countries.

J15 was developed based on Su33, which Russia didn’t produce and Ukraine sold the prototype to China along with a Chinese first carrier.

F-35 combat radius on internal fuel is 1100kms, J-31 now the J-35 combat radius on internal fuel is 1200kms. The carrier will be in range of the
    Chinese rocket force DF-26 missile's 4000km range.

I gotta say the 57 is pretty impressive even though it's not a TRUE stealth fighter.. The J-31 looks like a better jet all around than a J-20! I don't like Canards on a fighter jet.. They ruin stealth..

      那说明你对“隐身技术”有误解。参考一下船只的隐身性你就知道鸭式布局也能确保隐身性的。57隐身性能不好主要原因是外皮的工艺粗糙造成的。

I have a different view on this point, China now is somewhat similar to the United States during the inter-war period, with technology, capital, and industrial capability. But compared to Europe and Japan have been fighting for decades lack of war experience, but this does not prevent the U.S. military in the Second World War quickly learned from the war experience and adapted to the war, of course, in the process of adapting to the U.S. military also suffered major losses, but the strong industrial strength of the United States at that time made the U.S. military can withstand the losses and quickly recovered the strength of the war.
