I've been using the Cyborg for awhile and I wanted to add another hack and a tip to share. I found that the palm rest wasn't shaped quite right to allow my fingers to be pefectly perpendicular to the main keys. So, I used some adhesive 1/8" padding to build up the upper part of the palm rest. The result was a significant drop in accidental key presses and it was much more comfortable for long period gaming. The second thing I wanted to point out is that you can create two profiles and switch between them with a button click. This allows you to have a profile specific for a vehcile or ship and another for on foot. Fabulous.

I absolutely LOVE my Azeron Cyborg... to the point I've bought two.
The first one was fantastic but it was one of their stock models. It wasn't totally necessary, but I thought I'd give my old one to my son & went nuts with a total custom. I really prefer the flat finger parts instead of the 'hooks' you flick upwards (I have big hands and would occasionally flick one).
I'm actually totally fine with the stock restrictor ring the supply (and using it without the restrictor ring or your preferred replacement is ESSENTIAL).
I thought it would take me a while to adjust... I was previously on console controllers for 30 years, but wow... immediately felt at home once I set up my binds. I knew I'd NEVER want to use a keyboard for gaming & I really don't know why people still do given this exists (if they can afford one)... and if you're coming from years of console games, it's a perfect way to switch over.
The way I did it was just to bind what felt natural to me & that generally remains the same for most third/first person games (I have 'spare' keys mapped on it & tend to change key binds in game rather than create an entire new profile - a big lazy yes, but works totally fine.
I have very different set up for tactical/strategy etc games & do the same thing.
I've been using since early 2021 and I cannot use anything else again.
I really liked this comment because most of the time people get upset that I basically say to buy thumbstick covers, but your approach is what I wanted to build within the azeron community. Finding comfortability, and you expressing what I feel like most people tend to forget about this device is amazing to read. I appreciate you taking the time to write all of this, and I hope others see this comment as a way to consider this device outside of my video. Thank you so much for doing that!
@@addyplatinum that's a bizarre thing to get upset over. Azeron get some really dumb comments from people who have never tried one (pOwEr gLoVe) & reviews from people who have used m&k for years (a keyboard is wildly stupid to me - just because you're very used to a very poor solution doesn't make it good). I also forgot to mention how incredible their customer service is. Absolutely unbelievable. If the sad day comes that they are closing down, I'm not joking saying that I will buy at least ten. At LEAST! I tried using quite a few rubber covers I had but none fit well (all a bit loose). I'll have a look for those ones you recommended. I'm in Thailand - hopefully they will have them here.
What's ur keybinds and deadzone on Azeron for Apex Legends? I feel like my movement isn't very good with the Azeron. Thanks in advance.
Hey bud for deadzones I am unsure since I use mouse and keypad, but for binds I have the following:
C - crouch
V - melee
Space - jump
Shift - sprint
Tab - map
Q & E - Both binds are either my heals or grenades
1 - primary weapon
2 - secondary weapon
3 - holster weapon to run faster
B - change fire rate
X or Z - uses special item (heat shield/res beacon)
Lastly, I prefer to have my abilities on my side mouse buttons, however, using the 4 or 5 keys wouldn't be a bad idea either. HOPE THIS HELPS, and lemme know if you have more questions. Appreciate the support!
So your not using the restrictor rings at all with the new Silicone covers?
Also you could try Lizard Skin grip tape to put on your Azeron keys if you find your fingers slipping.
Also wondering if you have played the game Warzone with your Azeron and how well it works and what key binds you used for the game.
i personally do not like any sort of restrictor ring, whether azeron or kontrol freeks because it makes the WASD weird for me; however, I have never heard of the lizard skin what is that?
Also, I have played warzone and am looking to make an FPS binds video for the Azeron. Appreciate the support Spidey :)
@@addyplatinum I first started using the Lizard Skin hockey grip tape for my mouse like 3-4 yrs ago. I put it on both sides of the mouse and on left/right buttons as well. Works really well for grip on a slippery mouse. I used the 0.5mm tape as it comes in a roll or sheet as they make one especially for the mouse now. It comes in different colors and I have see ppl using the grip tape on their Azeron keypad. I still need to purchase the Azeron but will definitely use the grip tape on the button and maybe even the wrist rest too. You should definitely check them out if your having any problems with grip.

Which VGF silicone covers are the ones you use? Ones to suit a Xbox 360?
It doesn’t have to be from VGF gamers, that’s just a brand I really enjoy that offers controller covers and thumbstick covers. A quick search on Amazon you can find 10 packs for $6 and sometimes even a 40 count for $10 (overkill but gives you options)

@AdamPlatinum yeah its been a total game changer. I play w.o.w and sometimes my finger placement gets lots on the keys so its nice go have all my buttons surround my hand. Absolutely love the Azeron.

@AdamPlatinum it to me two days of dedicated gaming to get used to it about 10 hours each day to get used to the new buttons and where my skills were but after that it has been a breeze

Can you use these joystick silicone tips with the restrictor ring on the Azeron? 🇦🇺
100% you can. I just do not prefer to use the restrictor ring myself personally and have found using those covers to be beneficial and help preserve my keypad. Thanks for watching bud :)

Bud, appreciate the vid, gave like but you want a subscribe, you gotta respect your viewers time more. Re-watch the first five minutes of your video and ask "could I make this five minutes into 30 seconds of intro" and then get to the point? The answer is yes, you could. I use the Xbox elite thumb stick I switched the whole stick and I use the restrictor ring with it and put upper dead zone at 125 and its butter smooth
HIGH KEY was debating getting a different stick to try it out. How long have you done that for if you dont mind me asking? Definitely wanna touch on that in the future. Appreciate the input, and thanks for tuning into the video :)

Just got my azeron 4 days ago, been struggling with my main games, and the most annoying thing is hud (ui) flickering between KbM/Controller, the problem is the analog stick, as soon as you touch it, every button changes to controller icon, is there a (.ini) file o any other to deactivate the hud so it won't change? 4 days since got my azeron and still haven't had a single 30 minute gameplay session trying bc of that annoying hud flickering.
if you don't mind me asking a few things:
1. What games are you trying to run?
2. Is the Azeron configured with the latest software?
3. Is it a game that allows you to freely change between controller or MKB without changing it within settings?
In some cases, I would recommend deactivating controllers (steam settings) if that isn't a major fix, I'd consider installing the latest Azeron software and trying to calibrate that. From there, if still no resolve, I'd have to research the type of inputs that specific game takes or if there is more of a firmware issue. Hope I can help any way possible!
@@addyplatinum my main games are Dead by Daylight and Gears 5. In DbD if you're moving analog stick and want to vault a window, won't vault if moving the mouse, because game assumes that you're using controller therefore, no keyboard vault key will display. You can vault if you don't move the mouse (bc the displayed vault button shown is a keyboard key)
On Gears 5 haven't had issues, just the controller or mouse input icons popping depending what your last action was.
Both games are listed in the dual input game list.
On Hogwarts Legacy, same as Gears.
@@Mr_Sephiroth_EX it's interesting that your DBD is the one facing issues. I am a huge fan of playing it with my Azeron. I'd have to check the settings, but if there is somehow a way to exclusively set the input to keyboard and mouse, i would definitely recommend that. And this is on PC correct?
@@Mr_Sephiroth_EX I use REWASD and set it so the stick is always WASD. Never have this problem now & REWASD is far, far superior so Azeron stock software.
Thx for the video! Just bought some silicone covers for my Cyborg... It took me forever to switch from my keyboard to the Cyborg, but I finally did and use the Cyborg 100% in Warzone and will never go back to keyboard again!

And pretty much all those controllers don't have gyro aim, like the Steam Controller. Come on M$oft, Sony include a decent gyro aim function 🇦🇺
Pretty interesting concept tbh. Although the Azeron doesn’t have gyro aim currently, I could definitely see this company taking their expertise to the next level and eventually get to the point where we can do everything with one hand on an Azeron keypad 100%

@@Hipporider oh absolutely, but that could be something made possible in the future i feel like. Many 1 handed gamers could have an easier transition into more competitive games that way
@@Hipporider that could definitely be an option too. I know for me personally, i am not a huge fan of rumbling anymore, but i know some people that still use it for the "realism" of the game they play

Everything he's talking about is such a huge waste of money. Just play with the controllers as they are. Also I don't think he understands how to setup the restrictor ring or why it even exist. When playing FPS WASD movement is much quicker on a keyboard because you INSTANTLY move in the direction you press WHY you ask? Because keyboards are all or nothing. There is very little travel between buttons. When you map WASD to a JOYSTICK you still have to move the entire path of the stick to change from A to D or LEFT to RIGHT which makes things like STRAFING (very important in shooter) very slow on an analog stick.
The fact that he thinks some useless covers will compensate for the travel shows how everything he's talking about is all in his head and NOT actual reality.
I've been using keypads since before the Azeron existed -- the WASD movement restriction is the main reason why no other keypad had a proper joystick on it. That said, I find the restrictor ring (along with the proper deadzone changes) to be very good. The rubber top or whatever you call it is fine if you want extra grip but it's not going to do much for your actual "accuracy" or movement.
As much as I agree with your understanding of the instantaneous pathways of a keyboard and the shear reasoning why people can justify simply using a keyboard altogether, I am giving the Azeron keypad community a simple, INEXPENSIVE (literally $10 for a 40 pack of silicone thumb covers on Amazon) way to potentially enhance their gaming experience. Since the thumbstick is solely WASD, of course a cover will not "enhance" accuracy. If a gamer is comfortable, regardless of the input they are using, it can make any process feel more natural, which can improve THEIR OWN perspective gameplay. To sit here and say that this is a huge waste of money when covers can be used for almost every modern controller outside of keypad gaming is just downright wrong. Companies are swindling gamers to buy these covers for $2 a PAIR, which I have mistakenly done in the past, and I have always responded to people with the cheapest and most viable option. I appreciate the honesty and anecdote of how you believe the restrictor ring is better, but I agree to disagree, and I enjoy gaming the way I do. Do you set your joystick so that moving forward left right and backwards are smaller than your diagonal movements? Also how big of a dead zone are you using?
I am new to pc gaming. I can’t type so figure I would try the azeron as it seemed easier to use than a QWERTY.
But I have to learn to use mouse, azeron and how to play DayZ all at same time.
I’ve played games on console but never dayZ and never on pc.
@@billvandergriff2764 Personally the only thing ive done is adjust the deadzone and that's it, but I'd definitely say for deadzone to try and play a game how you feel is comfortable, and then reconfigure deadzones on the azeron software to feel as close to your gameplay comfortability as possible. As for DayZ, I played it once right when i first started Azeron keypad gaming, and I found it to be hard, however, that was well over a year ago and i lacked the muscle memory i have now. Just try to figure out how you want your hands to move on the azeron itself for any given game, then just modify your azeron settings so that specific button for that specific finger moves. Hopefully that makes sense, but I can explain it better if needed :)
