I really liked this comment because most of the time people get upset that I basically say to buy thumbstick covers, but your approach is what I wanted to build within the azeron community. Finding comfortability, and you expressing what I feel like most people tend to forget about this device is amazing to read. Azeron get some really dumb comments from people who have never tried one (pOwEr gLoVe) & reviews from people who have used m&k for years (a keyboard is wildly stupid to me - just because you're very used to a very poor solution doesn't make it good). I also forgot to mention how incredible their customer service is. Absolutely unbelievable. If the sad day comes that they are closing down, I'm not joking saying that I will buy at least ten. At LEAST! I tried using quite a few rubber covers I had but none fit well (all a bit loose). I'll have a look for those ones you recommended. I'm in Thailand - hopefully they will have them here.

The cyborgs are basically the same from one another, with the main difference being the compact has the top buttons rather than the top keycaps that kind of curl at the top. Personally speaking, I've played with both of them for relatively the same amount of time, and I say either one is a great choice, but if you find yourself thinking the top buttons would be a better option for you rather than the caps, maybe a return isn't a bad option. This is the way I've been doing it for nearly 20 years. Like I have a "shooter" profile and rebind in game. For games that need some cuztromizing I just duplicate my standard genre profile and adjust it for the specific game.

@@Myrdraall Definitely gonna be using that for future games i play. Right now I am having a hard time playing Escape From Tarkov and DayZ with the Azeron because of how many different actions are necessary for them. Appreciate the comment :)

Totally agree with this as well. Was hoping someone like you would be able to share your story about being a PC gamer from the start and using something similar. It really helps those trying to get into PC gaming the right ideas for how to pick it up, especially with hotkeys and things of that nature, so I appreciate you sharing your experiences. As for purchasing, I feel like I don't see too many negative reviews online, however, looking at certain places can definitely depict certain results. I definitely understand the shipping fear also, but I have 3 Azerons now, and all of them have shipped in great shape, so it's very half-and-half here for me. I would say if you want to focus on the cheaper end, definitely keep doing what you are doing, and if you're looking at mid-price for a keypad similar, the MoveMaster is another great option that someone recently opened my eyes to. Regardless, I will still gladly recommend the Azeron 100%. Thanks you for doing this :)

I personally find DayZ to be an interesting and overall fun game, but I have not quite mastered the inventory management and optimal keypad setup for it; however, the azeron cyborg is an amazing choice for this game in my opinion!

This is a very interesting topic lately. Personally, I have never experienced issues on Apex with my azeron, and the beauty about the azeron is the input is still technically recognized as a keyboard, which helps with any potential issues less severe, however, I am very ignorant about the apex config updates besides that it was mostly a controller issue, so be sure to make certain judgements when using third party software on top of the azeron. I can tell you for certain that both of my keypads that I've played at least 1k+ hours on have never experienced any drifts of the sorts. To add to this, I think Azeron support is great with helping users replace analog switches and what to purchase. High key recommend :)

if you don't mind me asking a few things: 1. What games are you trying to run? 2. Is the Azeron configured with the latest software? 3. Is it a game that allows you to freely change between controller or MKB without changing it within settings? In some cases, I would recommend deactivating controllers (steam settings) if that isn't a major fix, I'd consider installing the latest Azeron software and trying to calibrate that. From there, if still no resolve, I'd have to research the type of inputs that specific game takes or if there is more of a firmware issue. Hope I can help any way possible!

@@addyplatinum my main games are Dead by Daylight and Gears 5. In DbD if you're moving analog stick and want to vault a window, won't vault if moving the mouse, because game assumes that you're using controller therefore, no keyboard vault key will display. You can vault if you don't move the mouse (bc the displayed vault button shown is a keyboard key) On Gears 5 haven't had issues, just the controller or mouse input icons popping depending what your last action was. Both games are listed in the dual input game list. On Hogwarts Legacy, same as Gears.

@@Mr_Sephiroth_EX it's interesting that your DBD is the one facing issues. I am a huge fan of playing it with my Azeron. I'd have to check the settings, but if there is somehow a way to exclusively set the input to keyboard and mouse, i would definitely recommend that. And this is on PC correct?

​@@Mr_Sephiroth_EX I use REWASD and set it so the stick is always WASD. Never have this problem now & REWASD is far, far superior so Azeron stock software.

If you are curious about the top buttons, they feel solid in my opinion, they don't have a click sensation to them like the other caps on the azeron, but they still feel great and, for me personally, more natural to press than trying to reach the top keycaps on my original cyborg. As much as I agree with your understanding of the instantaneous pathways of a keyboard and the shear reasoning why people can justify simply using a keyboard altogether, I am giving the Azeron keypad community a simple, INEXPENSIVE (literally $10 for a 40 pack of silicone thumb covers on Amazon) way to potentially enhance their gaming experience. Since the thumbstick is solely WASD, of course a cover will not "enhance" accuracy. If a gamer is comfortable, regardless of the input they are using, it can make any process feel more natural, which can improve THEIR OWN perspective gameplay. To sit here and say that this is a huge waste of money when covers can be used for almost every modern controller outside of keypad gaming is just downright wrong. Companies are swindling gamers to buy these covers for $2 a PAIR, which I have mistakenly done in the past, and I have always responded to people with the cheapest and most viable option. I appreciate the honesty and anecdote of how you believe the restrictor ring is better, but I agree to disagree, and I enjoy gaming the way I do. which one did you get? Loved my cyborg, but my cyborg compact has blown me away, and ive used it ever since.

For console gaming, definitely take a look at some games that may have a built-in mouse and keyboard feature, these games make the gaming easier, however, for the oldies, I unfortunately think you will need an apex xim keyboard and mouse adapter in order to play those titles. i personally wanted the cyborg compact because i felt as though i neglected the top buttons, so it felt more natural to have the top buttons actually feel like buttons to press

if there is ever a deal in the future, id say consider it, but keyboard warriors are keyboard warriors my friend, so keep grinding however it makes the games fun :)

Hey bud for deadzones I am unsure since I use mouse and keypad, but for binds I have the following: C - crouch V - melee Space - jump Shift - sprint Tab - map Q & E - Both binds are either my heals or grenades 1 - primary weapon 2 - secondary weapon 3 - holster weapon to run faster B - change fire rate X or Z - uses special item (heat shield/res beacon) Lastly, I prefer to have my abilities on my side mouse buttons, however, using the 4 or 5 keys wouldn't be a bad idea either. was good derrick, so basically if you choose the elite v2 thumbsticks, it essentially replaces the plastic base thumbsticks that the azerons have by default with Xbox elite V2 controller thumbsticks, which have a magnetic base, and you can change the type of thumbstick you use very quickly/easily. As for Destiny, although I have never played on it with my Azeron, I can assure you the keypad would be a great choice for the game! Hopefully that helps you out, and thanks for watching the vid :)

I bought some. Thing is I had to buy rainbow of colors. Wish I could just buy one color. But it is what it is. Do you set your joystick so that moving forward left right and backwards are smaller than your diagonal movements? Also how big of a dead zone are you using? I am new to pc gaming. I can’t type so figure I would try the azeron as it seemed easier to use than a QWERTY. But I have to learn to use mouse, azeron and how to play DayZ all at same time. I’ve played games on console but never dayZ and never on pc.

@@billvandergriff2764 Personally the only thing ive done is adjust the deadzone and that's it, but I'd definitely say for deadzone to try and play a game how you feel is comfortable, and then reconfigure deadzones on the azeron software to feel as close to your gameplay comfortability as possible. As for DayZ, I played it once right when i first started Azeron keypad gaming, and I found it to be hard, however, that was well over a year ago and i lacked the muscle memory i have now. Just try to figure out how you want your hands to move on the azeron itself for any given game, then just modify your azeron settings so that specific button for that specific finger moves. Hopefully that makes sense, but I can explain it better if needed :)

I got the regular hand version and it feels great, and then for cables, all keypads use a usb micro B, except the new Cyro mouse that utilizes USB-C

hey Danen, thanks for taking the time to reach out. I have not yet played games of that nature; however, I have the fullest of intentions trying them out. I'd say, where there's a will, there's a way with the azeron keypad. Since it is fully customizable with what you want/need, I would say it could very well be possible. My biggest leap with the azeron (hopefully soon) is going to be trying WoW, Runescape, Star Wars TOR, and now added to the list, StarCraft. Appreciate the support :)

Wassup bud! So, technically every keypad is “the same size”. The only true differences they have, are the amount of binds, types of palm rests you want, etc. With that being said, the cyborg offers more binds than the typical compact; however, the compact cyborg seems to have virtually the same amount of binds, but with the top “rack” of finger caps being replaced with top buttons. I’d say depending on the games you play, a cyborg compact is arguably one of the best choices for price(especially if you customize your own), number of binds, and up-to-date designs/software. I personally miss using my cyborg, but that’s because I played on it for a whole year before getting my cyborg compact. Definitely recommend your first keypad to have more binds if possible because you tend to discover games that work well with the Azeron once you get used to your binds. SORRY FOR THE LONG RESPONSE IN ADVANCE, I tried to make it as detailed as possible, because I’m working on a script for a new upload regarding WZ/MW2 binds. So my starting question is which software are you using? I believe newer Azerons use the reWASD software, so if you’re using that, I’d have to explain a little bit more specific, but I basically bind the closest row that you curl your fingers back for all the essential movements (interact, jump, slide/crouch, etc). The buttons you physically have to press down like a normal keyboard I use for reload, melee, grenades for some games, etc. the buttons you have to push like a doorbell I use for swapping weapons, kill streaks, etc. the top rack I use for other kill streaks, pings, and actions like that. The two side buttons (near the index and pinky fingers) I use for the map and then inventory menu, the bottom row that’s closest the the keypads palm rest I use for the specialist abilities (munitions box, dead silence, etc.), switching between firing types (single shot, semi auto, etc.), and things of that nature. Once again, sorry if this didn’t exactly answer the way you wanted it to, but a video will hopefully be out soon to help guide you to your optimal binds :)
