Ed, I read your book "Tying Small Flies" and now enjoy the challenge of tying smaller flies. Now watching this video has helped me refine my small fly tying techniques. Thank you.
I own a complete set of everything A K Best ever produced, going from pedestal vise, base with 3rd hand, G-clamp, bobbin holders, all the hair stackers, tweezers, dubbing pick and bodkin, and a good few other items, with the original white boxes with green foam cut outs, packaging etc etc etc. Thought you may find that interesting.
Wow! Seeing Ed Engle tying flies brings back a lot of good memories of living in Colorado. My fly fishing mentor was the grandson of H.R. Buckwalter. Many of the flies he taught me how to tie were very old patterns. He would imitate Trico's with a Black and Silver that would float in or just below the surface film. I slayed many a Grayling at Joe Wright with them. :) Thank you.
I have some old #32's that are mustad-crystal hooks flatted goldplated short shank. Whats the best way to connect your tippet to them in that they do not have an eye let.
After years of tying small flies I am confused why we tyers cannot post and share materials. I might have to buy one Whiting cape that would last me 100yrs to tie 10 size 22 or 24 midges. I'm sure I'm not the only sap trying to store copious amounts of materials for 3 or 4 fly boxes. Maybe 6 or 7 with friends

Where did you get the flip up magnifiers?
If it’s an emerger why do you need a wing case?

Great tips for tying small flies!
sure enjoy your videos, you are still a first class fly tyer, your old friend Dana
Ed is a Colorado legend but I think I'll stick with Wyoming where the fish haven't been hammered and still take a size 14.
