Pro tip for beginners. After your set-up and you start backing as SOON as you see the trailer not going where you want it STOP!. pull up as far as you can and turn left if you're too close to hitting the trailer or turn right but not too long and aggressive if you over shot and try again . Pull up and repeat .

I believe she did a 45 degree backing, setup is right facing 12 o'clock and left facing 9 o'clock, going back straight for a little bit watch where your trailer is going and follow and make small adjustments or pull up as needed

I try my best to make a 45 degree back a straight line back if I have the space to get under the trailer. Try your best to avoid obstacles like other trucks around your cab if you can. You are really close to those amazon trailers.. this technique would be very difficult in a truck stop or some where super tight.. a way to prevent that is to line yourself up with the second trailer next to your spot not the first then turn out to the middle.. should be at a 45 degree… good luck though driver.

Good video, and thanks for showing the real dimensions, every trainer video on youtube pretends like you will have massive amounts of space in front of you when in reality they are all this cramped or worse. Your set up follows the same rules laid out on the My Trucking Skills channel and I really need help on this as my backing skills mysteriously vaporized after a month of easy wide open pull ins and straight line backing.

My thing is getting used to the direction of where to turn the wheel so I can guide the rear of the trailer within sight of the drivers side mirror and what direction to go to be in sight of the passenger side mirror.
Correct me if I’m wrong. But if I turn the steering wheel to the RIGHT then the rear of the trailer should come in view of the drivers side, is that correct? And if I want my passenger to see the rear of the trailer from their side then I turn the steering the wheel to the left.
I know I have to actually be in a in the cab of a semi to get the feel of it. But I wanna get the science down first, so it becomes less of a headache.

her partner is all over with the camera. but you have to aim uyour trailer using one aiming sight- use the back bumper never the tires- bumper is constant no matter the size of trailer- tires change locations, they change the speed of a turn- but that back bumper you want to aim about 3ft out from nose of adjacent trailer and a few inches over- and slip it in.

I work at amazon I just a promotion for backing up trailers but it's so hard was suppose to test on Friday I cried because I thought I was gonna fail and it was taking me and amother girl a long time so wasn't gonna finish the test on time we got lucky and our other trainer was able to extend us 2 more days this coming week but I'm scared it's hard some people are slower to learn then others I'm fast learner other things but this one is harder I don't even back up my car lol. I know the concept and what to do but I either turn too much or not enough and when I finally got it straight and align where want to go when go straight back it drifts that's my worst is the little wiggles and moves to get it in there I don't want to fail test help

How do you correct yourself if the front is too close to trailer in front? Do you return the wheel and try again or? Is it possible to put yourself in a really awkward position where the truck will either be close to the front and back and you are kind of 'stuck'?
