This game has one of the best moments of all the "world of" games. When your battleship is steaming on, and multiple groups of planes fly over. So beautiful, and the sound is amazing!
OMG!!! That was the best bit of air power plotting and planning I have ever seen. I couldn't believe what I was watching. All your bombers and torpedo bombers found and hit their targets. You spared no one. Still not sure how to express what I have just experienced. The true Air Boss!!!

I felt that early game letting the enemy CV live was going to be disastrous, but that last Cruiser kill was beyond epic. I actually clapped at the end.

Oooh...an Essex! I've been on 2 of em. In my life: Intrepid and Yorktown (actually visited Yorktown on my father's suggestion. God, what a beautiful ship). I'd like to go back to Intrepid some day too. Or go visit BB Massachusetts. I had some fun. What with the odd affinity I've suddenly found for naval warfare.
Hoshimaru57 i went on the intrepid during an holiday in new york! there was also a beautiful sr-71 parked on the bridge! i also had a sit on the admiral's chair.....lol
+Nelllo D'Angelo I did that too back when the towers were still standing. But the best preserved ship by far is the North Carolina in Wilmington, NC. Everything is original and period correct...

Closed and open beta was the "happy times " to borrow from the kriegsmarine when carriers ruled and you just ripped apart the enemy team; less anti aircraft fire to deal with. Stryker you are up there with Ichase dude . Your game replay never gets old or boring

I wonder how long it will be before players start crying "nerf!" for carriers? ;-) One thing I noticed, though: When the bombing reticule suddenly widens it means the enemy cruiser has activated his "focus AAA" ability, and the accuracy of your bombs and torpedoes will be greatly reduced. You can call off the strike and have your planes circle out of range until it expires, which shouldn't be more than 30 seconds or so. You can then conduct your strike with no accuracy penalty, and fewer losses. ^^
a fitting win for the ship class holding the nickname "The Blue Ghost". such a great play, I HATE carriers because torp planes are a little OP imo...but this was epic to watch!

Just think, the real Essex would have had 6 groups of fighters, 6 groups of dive bombers, and 3 groups of torpedo bombers. He's only got 30 of the 90 attack aircraft he's supposed to have.
Some of the torpedo runs weren't very impressive in the begining of the game but by the end they were near perfect, what i like the most though was the constant relocation. and the multi tasking was awesome
Hi Tank: How do you change the radius of your attack? I understand that you hit "Alt" key to do a manual attack, but what key do you press to spin your manual-attack so you are dive-bombing straight on? Thanks for any help.
