Cole and Brian, I just do not know where to begin. This video exceeds my wildest expectations! "Every 60 seconds that goes by on our farm, a minute passes." Philosopher on the Prairie, Cole. Brian, you have just bloomed before our eyes like a giant South Dakota sunflower! The topper, however, was the marketing of the oiler that Madison Avenue and $1,000,000 could not have produced a better advertisement! Cole, I have told you before that your future lies in product placement and endorsement. I am so proud!
You are definitely # 1 when it come to the farming channels with someone named Cole on the channel. The other channel puts out sub-par content daily and really stretches the content to make a shitty 8 - 10 min video. On the other hand when you guys put out a video its always topnotch content and on your channel nobody is begging in a fake whining voice for a 👍. Pops and your dedication to be yourself and not acting for content is refreshing. I appreciate this channel, thanks again for staying true to who you are !! # 1 Cole on the Tube
I’m here for the content, but stay for the father son razzing. Lost my pops a year and half ago and I miss that interaction every single day. Cherish every moment with each other!
Just took delivery of a Lewis Oiler last week. So far so good. I put a lick tub next to it to draw cattle over to it. It wasn’t even 2 days and they had figured it out. They are rubbing on it and it’s doing it’s job....very few flies on their faces. I’m running a 10% permethrin / diesel fuel mix.
Cole you are so lucky to have your Dad sharing his life lessons. I am 65 and I am still getting life lessons from your channel, listening to Brian. That’s what makes this channel so awesome!! 👍👍👍👍 🥴😂🤣😜
I don’t think anyone should be sick of helping cows and there health that is not just about making money on the farm it’s caring and being good caring farmers to you stock keep the good work up and good luck on getting to the 100.000 subscribers
Two things....use a back rub (in front of the water) soak it with diesel and add your fly control (change your control year to year). That hose you have for your spray tank, I would suggest get a yellow hose (feed stores have them) and warn any kids around or that come around "don't drink out of the Yellow hose".
😂🤔😂You must be joking when you said that we'd be bored watching the cattle getting sprayed. I love watching their reactions to it. The way that some hate it, some seem to love it, and some are only interested in the FOOD, and couldn't care less what you're doing to em.😂. Some, I think, actually understand what's going on, and would stand all day in the spray. Plus, it must be relieving them of the heat, which must be nice for em. You just keep on filming what you do day by day. That's what farming is. That's why we're all subscribed and watching. Just keep on'a'farmin. Rich UK 😘
You boys do all that you can to help your cattle. If I win your tractor you have a long way to bring it to Scotland! Look forward to you bringing her to my door. Look forward to seeing how this Wagner Cattle oiler works and if you have less problems with flys on your cattle. Great video keep them coming
again we are blessed with the Brian and Cole comedy show.....What a treat to watch the two of you getting things done and sharing words of wisdom. Thanks guys.
Just a comment about the fueling while your Dad waits at the gate. Out of every tractor, and combine on the farms Dad had ONE RULE. The machinery was not put down for the night until it was fueled up and topped off, oil checked and added and everything was greased before the day was over. That way it was always ready for the next use.
We used to have an oiler on the farm in the 1950s. It was a long loose horizontal chain with rags wrapped around. Oil (I do not remember what kind) was poured over the rags and the cows would rub on said rag covered chain as needed. I remember the cattle using it every day, they liked to rub on it. Worked well (we did not know other ways back then). Fly strike is no joke.
On the gates that you need a stretcher. Take a piece off pipe 3/4 inch diameter. Weld a chain to the pipe. Fasten the chain to the post. You can then use the pipe as a lever to open gate. Works great.👍👍👍👍👍👍
Try feeding garlic in your feed or mineral. Talked to a friend of mine yesterday that has been doing it this year and said he no longer has a fly problem. It is very strong smelling stuff it was in the back of his sxs and I could smell it in the bucket 30 yards away.
Instead of diesel fuel consider liquid paraffin, soybean oil or canola oil. I suspect a food grade oil may be more acceptable to your complaints department. You may be able to get rancid vegetable oil for next to nothing. I used to drive a diesel and purchased rancid peanut oil at a processing plant near El Reno, OK. Car ran just fine but it’s exhaust was strange. Thanks for sharing this educational video. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Greetings from NE Ohio on the southern shore of the Great Swamp Erie. Peace brother.
We used to have a Lewis Oiler just like that. The mineral feeder will eventually buckle in the middle and the diaphram in the pumps are problematic. I highly recommend the easy way cattle oilers. They are all cotton wick no mechanical pumps and work excellent. The mineral feeder is in the middle and almost 100% protected from rain. They are about half the price of a Lewis
I love my Cattle Oiler. I bought two exactly like that one after the farm show a couple of years ago. It works pretty slick. I kind of wish I had gotten the dolly for them but I lift them with tractor and they carry pretty good. I use a bottle of pyrethrin and top it the rest of the way with diesel. Works good. And I’ll tell you those mineral feeders are tough as nails. I have had old cows literally beating the thing to death when I put a new bag in it and it hasn’t got a scratch on it.
Was wondering ifyou could send us some of your rain over here in CA. We are literally burning up and we have 3 more days of dry lightening coming thru tuesday. Thanks for making me smile today.
Yep. I'm outside of Marysville. We've got ducks and the poor things have been getting ash on their feathers for four days. We've set up misters for them. That storm coming through is supposed to be no rain and more lightning. Isn't that just dandy? Like we need more fires :-(
Hey you guys made the You Tube announcement. UA-cam mentioned your name as the new Farm Tube sensation. Great job. Mentioned Welkers and some others also...
So take a chain or wire tie it to the gate post and then attach a piece of wood to the chain. Then you can leverage tension on the gate by pulling on the piece of wood tied to the gate post to open or close the gate.
Not sure I expect you to drive all the way to Illinois to bring me my tractor, but if you do, it will be an honor to host you fellas. LOL. I'll buy all the beer you can drink to rehydrate ya's when you get here. Having a beer with the father, that was incredible enough to compel the son back to the farm after college, would be an honor. Cheers Gents.
I really like the shots you do from inside machinery. Makes for an interesting experience. And i bet you're glad that, when you're taking pellets out to the "kettles", that they only have back teeth... If they had front teeth, I'd imagine it'd be like a piranha feeding frenzy! Strip a man down to just bones in seconds!
I watch a farm video who is in the UK, and i love watching the cattle brushes. The cows really love them and it is funny to watch. Love the jokes and tales from Brian. Stay safe and have fun.
I can see it now in Ad Age Magazine, “Busch Light plays it safe - pulls the $3.5 million Super Bowl ad and dumps it all into emerging UA-cam channel out of the South Dakota”
Cole...the answer is, executioner. Brian, great wrestling story. Can we please get some video of the Oiler working in the near future..please. Don’t forget the drone. Great video. Have a great weekend.
You both make me laugh so much! 🤣 The way you say "oh my gurddd" 🤣 I said that to my son yesterday cz he's cleaned his bedroom! It came out like how you say it and I'm Irish! 🤣🤣🤣 I can't wait to see some footage of the cows using that equipment in the field.... 🙌🏻 You gotta get some cattle brushes too.... The smiles on the cows faces when they use them for a big scratch is awesome! 🤗
I never seen cattle sprayed till I watched your videos! Diesel fuel won't hurt the cattle I have fly spray I use that smells like diesel fuel! It will kill weeds also! Thank you for sharing
Daddy Sonne jokes can’t get enough of them! Lake Sonne returns to spite the rocks! Those poor cattle’s 🐄 being eaten alive from those terrible flies hope the spraying helps them. Excellent Oiler to help. How’s Bactiari going?
I have 2 Lewis Cattle Oilers. I hope you have better luck with the pump system than I do. We have adjusted multiple times and our cattle dont move it enough to pump. We went back to the hanging rubs. They use them better in our opinion.
Hope the Oiler works for y’all. I have a suggestion if you would spray anymore. If you put your feed in a U shape so the cattle would be in a semi circle. Would that work? I don’t know how you would get the calves. Good video. Put that stretcher in the gator and leave it lol. God bless y’all
For many years I traveled back and forth from Ohio to Lyons South Dakota. What a beautiful area. Cannot wait to see what you both think of Ohio when you bring the tractor. Would you know if the Rollin pin is still open in Sioux Falls?
Was gonna suggest a few weeks back, around here they set up a rub post with burlap sacks and coat it with diesel and seven dust....cows rub it and onto each other
hey,in australia,to control flies we used neguvon powder, which is a horse drench, then cut a hole in the side of a 20 litre drum shoot a rabbit, place rabbit in drum and fill with water, put some powder in and put in on top of a strainer, kills flies in there millions.hope that may help you too
Have you heard of the vetgun? That's what we use on our cattle. Basically a paintball gun that shoots fly spray when it hits the cows. It lasts about a month. Kind of expensive but we think it is worth it.
Just braids back a loop on a soft smooth rope. Put your rope around your gate post and through the loop wrap around your gate stick and gate post a couple times. Last loop around the gate stick toward you and used like a block and tackle. Throw it in your side by side and leave it there no need for a come along or fence stretcher.
Nice job on the videos, I look forward to them everyday. I know they are time consuming but please don’t stop, if anything and if you are able, post them everyday. I like to watch them with an adult beverage.
Did you know that right-handed people think with the left side of their brain and that left-handed people think with the right side of their brain, therefore, left-handed people are the only ones thinking in their right mind? And yes I'm not just a viewer but I'm also left-handed as well

Have you looked into terramycin eitherasa powder which l dont like or as a. Aerosol spray which I like for pink eye.
Cole you are so lucky to have your Dad sharing his life lessons. I am 65 and I am still getting life lessons from your channel, listening to Brian. That’s what makes this channel so awesome!! 👍👍👍👍 🥴😂🤣😜
I think it is very very humane of you and your dad to continue your fight to control the flies, therefore continue to record it. God Bless
Story time with Brian. We've been missing that the last few videos. There always great.

Brian I love your sense of humor .Come on You Tubers subscribe that tractor needs a new owner .

I love how you used Range Cubes to spray flies on the ole Bovines.
Sweet set up for the cattle hope it works out ok. Gotta like the pops jokes you both get work done and having awesome time together good times
Your dad always adds to the video !

Hey you guys made the You Tube announcement. UA-cam mentioned your name as the new Farm Tube sensation. Great job. Mentioned Welkers and some others also...

Looking forward to seeing how well the cattle oilers work.
Steaks & corns for our supper here, too 😋

Nice would love that tractor. I just live a few miles east of town
I watch a farm video who is in the UK, and i love watching the cattle brushes. The cows really love them and it is funny to watch. Love the jokes and tales from Brian. Stay safe and have fun.

I agree with Sassi Lou, you need to get you some of those scratching posts up and around the farm
I absolutely love your channel. Thank you so much for letting us see what all you do!
God Bless you all.
Glad you enjoy it!

4:20 😂🤣💪 Lefty club here as well, ...always have an issue using those right-handed hammers. Dad's wisdom everytime 😂 Stay Sunny Sonne's! 🇺🇸🐮💪❤️
We use to put a lever made from a small branch and some smooth fencing wire at our gaps. It really helped.
I have 2 Lewis Cattle Oilers. I hope you have better luck with the pump system than I do. We have adjusted multiple times and our cattle dont move it enough to pump. We went back to the hanging rubs. They use them better in our opinion.
We have 2 of those Lewis cattle oilers. They are awesome
I am 58 and always wanted a tractor, this could just be my luck to win yours. And free Delivery, cant beat that.

Was gonna suggest a few weeks back, around here they set up a rub post with burlap sacks and coat it with diesel and seven dust....cows rub it and onto each other
Looks like a good Oiler, I need a Brewster too
Loved the story! Also not a farmer but love when you and all others are given things to try.
Good joke from dad I am also a lefty hope that fly thing works those poor cows those flys are Relentless
We rent our pasture out. Got 30head of black Angus cows and calves wish the farmer was more concerned about the flies
hey,in australia,to control flies we used neguvon powder, which is a horse drench, then cut a hole in the side of a 20 litre drum shoot a rabbit, place rabbit in drum and fill with water, put some powder in and put in on top of a strainer, kills flies in there millions.hope that may help you too
We have one of those Oilers and love it
You'll like that oiler I think.
Have you heard of the vetgun? That's what we use on our cattle. Basically a paintball gun that shoots fly spray when it hits the cows. It lasts about a month. Kind of expensive but we think it is worth it.
I have heard of it, never used one though
Dad jokes hope the oiler helps yalls cows have a day love from TEXAS
I’m all about the tractor!
So, is the oiler doing it’s job?? Great video! 😁👍 🌽 🐂🥩🐂 🌽 👍❤️
