I will still pray for more rains for you and all of the farmers! I am glad that the rain is finally coming!
Great to see you did get the rain, that I noticed in your area.
1”-2” of rain good and glad you didn’t get so much that it flooded your fields. Now just need to get some rain 2-4 weeks during growing season.
Yay for rain!!!❤ South Plains of West Texas has just under 7” according to National Weather Service in the last week. Next 2-3 days sunny and dry. Maybe cotton farmers can plant. Worse storm in years last night. Lightning struck our neighbors yard. I heard hubby yell from the living room, take cover…..I grabbed our 15 yr old Chihuahua and rolled off the bed!! House shook like it was coming down. Burn spot but no structural or house damage.
Hope the prayers continue for you guys!!❤
God is so faithful and His timing is perfect! So happy some rain has started to come your way.
May your corn 🌽🌽🌽🌽 grow as crazy as your hair . Great video Brian.
Happy to see Lake Sonne back. Couple more like that hopefully be in good shape. Actually surprised didn't have to pull her out of commodity she'd too.
Cole, you are a man of many talents. Just all you do in one day blows my mind. But then, you're just a young whippersnapper. 😁👍
Nice to see mud at Sonne Frames!! Hopefully it is a regular occurrence throughout the summer.
Been awhile since I have seen a farmer not be upset about getting stuck in mud.
Cole-when you emptied that front hopper of pellets, I wondered why is he doing that? Then I seen Brian back into shed……..took me a minute……..oh, now I understand!! Good job!!
Yeah that one got me to🤣
Happy to hear that y’all finally got some rain!
That self-propelled auger has to be one of the best things you guys have bought.
So happy to see a Sonne pond starting back up, but it looks like you forgot how to dive over mud. Lol. Praying for more rain to give you some relief.
ERMAGERD PERLETS!!!
Glad you guys got some rain, keep praying for us. Kent Farms and a lot of other folks around Marwayne, AB still waiting for our first rain since the snow melted.
I’ve never been so excited about 1-2” in my life!!!
TGFT, thank God for tractors. Keeping the farm running.
We live in Rapid City and have gotten some pretty decent rain showers over the last few days, and all the while I was praying that you guys were getting at lest as much or more than we were getting. Still drought, but glad to have any moister at all…
Great job hauling corn Brian and Cole
Thank God you finally received some rain!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks!
Thanks David I m they'll appreciate that, maybe for some refreshments 🍻
Thank you David!
Prayers always help! Seems like y’all are in for more rain from what I have seen of the forecast! Brian, you may want to look into getting a Trip Hopper for the perlletts. We have one that goes on a flat bed and one that is trailer mounted. They are the bees knees.
Seen a lot of tracks in the barn yard and puddles in your feed lot. Pop said plant in the dust the bins will bust. Very timely rain for you guys. Hopefully for the rest of the summer. Sonne farms feeding America. Thanks
Hi guys, MARSHMELLOWS! Racoons cant resist them, use these in your live trap but the mature coons can reach in from the sides and end so you may need to be creative to limit these areas. My experience also is to be generous with bait in and 1 or 2 under the trip pad as well as several outside.
Eggs are a skunks favorite as well as peanut butter and jelly sandwich as not to attract cats. Huge fan of your channel. Blessings to all.
Hey Cole don't you worry about meeces getting into your pellets. They could bombardier your carts. Dakota gold might be to good to pass up. Have a great day.
We’re so happy that y’all got a good amount of rain!! We’re in NE Oklahoma and it seems like we go from drought to flood and back to drought in just a few short hours! Great video as always! Much love from the drought in the South! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
College cannot teach the wisdom that Brain has developed over the years.😎😎
Here's praying the crops grow as good as your grass!
This video gives proof to the saying "till the Cows come home!" Follow the food source...even down the road and into the neighbors corn field! Funny to see stray cows on the run, says this city girl. 😊😊😊
It’s Monday 29 @2:00 mountain standard time and we got a little bit of soft hail and now just a nice rain shower. I hope it’s coming your way!!
Pleased to see you got a reas0onable amount of rain but you will need more on a number of occasions this year before you can say that the drought has broken.
I cannot begin to imagine what 9" of rain in one storm is like - we think it has rained cats and dogs if we get 1" in a storm!
9" is a third of our annual rainfall, including any snowfall (this year nil snow), in the East Midlands of the UK!!!
Regards, Dan
G’job fellers, glad y’all had some rain, keep em comin and hope y’all had a great memorial day weekend 🇺🇸
Happy and thankful to God that you did get a decent rainfall. Things are looking good, including that grill being put to good use.
Great video as always Cole. Hope the Sonne family has a awesome Memorial Day. Thank you 2 for everything.
Congrats on the rain but also on the clean looking corn.
Really glad to see you all get some much needed rain. Hope you get finished planting and get a really good soaker! It amazes me that the corn here has the silk turning dark on the ears while up north you all are just finishing planting. I honestly do not know who you deal with all that ice, snow, and sub zero temps! Heck, we have to wear coats down here when it is below 50!
That’s some nice looking road shoulders and lawns. Hope you continue to see the moisture all summer long and get a bumper crop.
You need to tell that raccoon that you have a half a semi load of treats waiting for him, then set up camp and wait for him!
I will add your rainfall to my answered prayers. I will keep praying for adequate rain. Thanks for your hard work and videos. Jerome Manhattan Ks.😊
Good to see you got some rain, hopefully there will be more on the way. Those pesky calves can really be a pain, I have a heifer that is an escape artist, any spot that is in question, she'll find a way to get out. Ellie is a cutie for sure. I hope your week goes good and you get more rain. Thanks and have a good one!
Good to hear you get some rain
Glad you had some rain. Another successful day.👍❤️🇨🇦
Glad you did get some rain. Still praying 🙏 for 🌧 for you all. I even put Mitchell SD weather on my phone, and when I see the icon, i pray for you all....
Thankfully you have gotten some rain. Hopefully more will continue to nourish your crops. Can you rather a couple calves in your yard to let them mow that bit of lawn?
Trusting that you and your family have enjoyed a blessed Memorial Day holiday, become acquainted with your new niece(s) and shared a restful weekend together. Peace Cole
Cole, sounds like you need to get the roller out to deal with those ..." bigger stones". LOL!
Glad that our cows aren’t the only ones that get out.
Love the nest condos on silo stairs! lol!
Cole, you need to look into getting a Yankum rope. Much safer than using a chain.
All the UA-cam farmers are using them. I’m sure if you contact them they’ll hook you up.
Just a suggestion, Hope all are well and safe.
...Hook you up..... like it
@@diggerdave.6587 Glad someone caught that one Dave. Hope all is well.
@jandyg hi ya..I love a hidden gem.
I'm all good thanks and hope you are too.
@@diggerdave.6587 I have to say that this evening I was watching a Sonne Farms video from 2 years ago. When Jeff got stuck. Cole used a Yankum rope to pull Jeff out.
I bow before Cole and ask his forgiveness for inferring he didn’t know about Yankum ropes. That being said he still used a chain in this video. ( So I’m admitting I was wrong, but still kinda right).
Hope all are well and safe.
You guys delivering to the ethanol plant brought back a few memories of trying to keep the locomotives the speed of 2.5 mph for 12 hours while offloading a corn train.
So glad you got some rain. Praying that every few days you get another couple of inches to help the fields.
I listened to your governors speech the other night. She’s awesome. And gorgeous too. She’s a great leader compared to what we have up here in Canada. Have great spring. 👍🇨🇦
You're such a hard worker and you know how to do so much! Love how you and your dad work together! God Bless!!!
It is nice to see that you received some much needed rain. Thanks for sharing your video.
I have Carolina wrens that nest in my barn and rabbit shed each year. Currently watching a nest in the rabbit shed, at least 4 of the 5 hatched and are growing feathers. Now to try to figure out when they will be fledging so I can keep the dog away when they inevitably hit the ground. Cody loves them a bit too much.
Good to see some rain over there !
Thank Jesus for answering prayers!!!!
Wonderful that you did get some rain. We have been doing a rain dance here in Central Indiana.
Enjoyed the video.im really glad you got some much needed Rain.
Thank you Lord for answered prayers and we continue to ask for just enough and give you all the glory.
Yeah there needs to be a nation wide soaker from the Dakota's down to Texas that slowly stretches to the Ohio river valley. Getting pretty dry here in the Midwest.
I'm glad you got some needed rain👍👍✌️
Great video Cole and Brian
Boy those cattle they really have a mind of their own
The rains have been refreshing in Western Kansas. I love sitting on the back patio in a good thunderstorm! Thank you, Lord for the rain!
glad to see you got some rain. i farm and live in northeast ks. and the crops looks good here. that can change pretty fast as you know.
I am thankful you got some much needed rain!
Glad you finally got that rain hopefully your able to get some follow up moisture
Cheers for a great video
Praise God for the much needed moisture.
I'm still going to be praying for more rain for all farmers! Without you we starve. I think it fun watching you guys wrangling up the cattle!
Thank you we need it. We are going to have some people out of business this year if we don’t have a crop. That’s not to mention Lack of a mid Midwest
Great job mowing grass Cole
Evil Woman? Who burst your bubble today Brian!?! Love ELO 😄
I really enjoyed that. Didn’t look like he had to work too hard. selling corn, mending fences, corralling straying calves. Here in Central Oklahoma, we’ve been stuck in a rain pattern that is insane every week it just keeps having the chance of more and more rain due to the influx of gulf moisture. I’m not griping we’ve been in a drought for a couple three years and it really is nice but it’s just kind of weird. Hopefully you’re going to get some of it today. I hope Kansas get some because almost the entire state was in an extreme drought, and we get a lot of grain from Kansas.
It seems like there is always fence to fix. Those cows find the weakest link in the fence to let you know you have something to do. You two certainly have job security. It’s good to see your videos every week. Thanks a lot.
E.L.O. was all over the radio in the 70's...
Not my fav band , but I do like , "Dont Bring Me Down" "Brrrruce"
Hi, have you considered putting Ramial chipped wood mulch on the muddy areas? This would fix the problem quite a bit and not fill the ground with stone, which would not be
ideal.
sorry if I express myself badly I am French and do not speak English very well.
I will not speak for them but we won’t do that here because wood mulch retains moisture. Will not dry out. Zone five mid Midwest
@@paulprigge1209 I understand. No problem. I come from Alsace in France, with a very clayey soil which is a muddy sponge in winter and concrete in summer.
by experience, the mulch in a thick layer, once stabilized after one year, allows excess water to sink into the soil and no longer stagnates on the surface in puddles of mud thanks to the humus and the fibers , and even if it keeps a little humidity, it helps to keep good soil in the hot season and avoids ice in winter.
I think the best is to test on a small place and if you like, you put more. anyway unlike stones, to stabilize the ground which are permanent, the palis can be easily removed and composted or left without renewal.
but thank you for sharing your opinion on the subject! it is of course necessary to adapt the solutions according to the ground and the use.
I'm glad to se my wobble belly voodoo rain dance worked!! I'll try to keep it going!! Thanks for the entertainment!!😀👍👍🫀
Cole u should attach a picnic chair to the side of the self propelled auger. Save wear and tear on your knee.👍👍👍👍
Ur Dad is the funniest ever….um…in SD !🎉😂
Prayers answered with the rain we all have received. With give God all the praise for His Blessings.
That sure is a nice boo-fay you put out for all those beady-eyed, pointy-nosed, whiskery little critters. You should have several new generations of little mouses popping up in no time once they tell all their friends how nice they have it over at Sonne Farms. Would used seed bags or seed boxes work for temporary storage as well? The wagons are a good idea if you bungee a tarp nice and tightly over the top. Plus you can move them around. On the other hand, it could lure Rocky Racoon out of hiding. He could contract lead poisoning, though. That would be a shame. To unstuck trucks! Jack L.
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🌞 Farms!!!
Our cows used to push the calves through the electric fence. Grandpa would call those cows "Old Rips". An old lady cut me off in the checkout lane last week. In my head I thought, "Old Rip."
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable.
Cows getting out. Does get frustrating but you and dad handle it well and fix the fence to keep them in. Once they know how to get out they do not forget how to get out. Looks like you got it fixed though. Nice work.
Hauling grain to the ethanol plant just takes time, no way around it. Nice the plant is close to your farm. Cuts down on time.
Sorry your truck got stuck. The rain did you in. Really glad you got some rain 🌧. Prayers your way for more moisture!!!!!!!!
Good way to store your extra food pellets for the cows. That way you can use them as needed.
Good song of the day Brian. Had nice music with it. Thanks Brian.
About it I guess. You all take care and be safe.
Thanks for everything.
The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Kills me how they never forget how to get out. But when you’re chasing them they never remember how to get in. Sometimes you have to almost cut the fence to give them an opening. I’ve chased them for over an hour before they’ve gotten back. Fortunately, I do not have to do that anymore being totally retarded..
Good job guys and God bless
ELO I saw them in concert! They were awesome! There great. , ! I heard them sing that song in person!
That mud tells me you had some good rain. Let's pray for more; you've been in a drought much too long.
I remember chasing cattle...ugh!
Thankful for rain, you can always use more! Gonna be a hot week coming up, in the 90's (West central Indiana).
Praise the Lord for the rain. I hope y'all have a great yield.
Your Dakota gold training paid off big time!
You know Cole, I think it would be a WONDERFUL IDEA for your wife to mow the lawn, while your doing “farm stuff”. MY wife of 34 years loves mowing our lawn, she puts her tunes in her ears and goes to it. Just a thought. (don’t kill me Tiffany!!) LOL 😂😂😂
Grilling…..a nice to finish a busy day!!!! Enjoy..
Yum Yum. Looks good call. Glad y’all got some rain. I pray you get more keep things growing. Good job on keeping the critters in.
Cattle look great. I crop with 500 cattl and all you need is some easy to roll out hot tape and small solar Gallagher electric fencer. Buggar barbed wire. Cheers 🦘🦘🦘
Goes to show you the power of prayer - the rains came as needed. 🚜 🚜 🚜 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🚜 🚜 🚜
So happy it rained. I will keep praying. you need more moisture. Good job and God bless
You need to install some battery trickle chargers because you don't run them trucks enough to keep the batteries charged up and you'll get a lot longer life from the the batteries. Behold the power of Dakota Gold pellets.
5/29/23 - So glad you got your much needed Rain! Prayers were answered!
Phew, releasing a cautious sigh of relief!---Whenever I see that blue crane auger(?), I hear Nat King Cole singing "walking my baby back home"!
Thanks 😊
Thank you very much
