Hey bro loved the video. I'm having one issue though and it's killing me right now. I can't actually drag and drop the newly imported HDRI onto the old backdrop. I've tried changing the resolution and restarting my engine...nothings working. If you have an answer that would be awesome.
@@rileykay9711 I had the same problem. I realized the gile is an .exr and not an .hdr. So I opened it in photoshop, selected transparency at the prompt and saved it as .hdr and then it worked for me
I’ve spent (legit) about 365 days trying to learn Unreal for 3D filmmaking. I’ve sat through hour long rambling “tutorials” and poke-around “tutorials.” 365 days later, I cut this video on and boom. Everything I needed in 15 min. You should be on udemy or your own website the moment you feel comfortable enough. Your vocal cadence and focused delivery are the difference. Appreciate you man. @@Jsfilmz To be honest with you i always wanted to make an animation short movie, or learn how to make them, so i would love it if you would make a. how to make a animation short movie in unreal engine video/series. Even if its just the basics, and not to much in depth.
I've always been using Source Filmmaker to make my animations, but since its no longer being updated by Valve and has TONS of annoying bugs and glitches I've been thinking of upgrading to a new Software for Animating Unreal Engine 4 seems perfect, and with these tutorials i might just be able to do it and make the Switch, thanks man
I really haven't found many resources on animating in Unreal Engine besides the "how to use animation in your game" tutorials, i started animating in SFM and i really like how straight-forward Unreal Engine lets you animate compared to SFM, Blender, and Cinema 4D Care to share any useful info?
For some reason when I drag the newly downloaded hdri from my content into the cubemap, it doesnt replace the default one. Do you have any idea how to get around this issue?
Went through this tutorial and it was awesome! Question about the export settings, what other export settings do you suggest besides prores? I exported as an avi. and it came out a little blurry, then I tried the prores and my computer didnt read it. Im on a pc if that matters.
Also, if I started this project as a third person perspective, is there a way to activate the new character I brought in from marketplace instead of the default one?
@@Jsfilmz gotcha! Well my clip doesnt look as awesome as yours but for a total newbie I have to say your tuts have helped me create something and actually export it. So thank you! I have just been starting to take a more serous look to sequencer and cinematics in general, and this video was a really good jump start for that. It was to the point, concise, and information packed. Great video!
