- Our identities, societies, and health are all mixed together in cool, weird, and often deeply unfair ways. One of the big factors that comes out of that mix is stress. Stress impacts our health in a number of ways. In this episode of Crash Course Public Health, we’re going to go beyond the basics and look at the ways society affects our stress, which in turn impacts our health.

I'm just grateful that I live in a part of the country that allows me access to quality care even though I'm poor and disabled. I'm stressed about a lot of things, but health care isn't one of them.
Nice to know, I supposed it couldn't be that bad everywhere in such a big country.
99 problems but
I always think CrashCourse's lectures are the easiest to understand and most of all, diverse, so I think they are the best to study knowledge that I don't know. Thank you so much!
I already know stress is bad for my health. I'm currently grappling with high blood pressure (and I am improving, thank God).
God why is this series so underrated. I love it. Thanks for making it, Crash Course 💖
Bc ppl believe that climate change and therefore, climate anxiety, and other forms of health, don’t exist, so they don’t bother educating themselves, which if very sad and ignorant. The best thing to do is to educate yourself at your own pace. ☺️
Doesn't it stress you out, right? 😃
As a paramedic, this series is just like advance lesson of my previous education.
Bravo..
Thanks Vanessa
Stressing because stress is bad for me but I'm always stressed
I think this is a sign. I’ve been talking about seeing my dr to figure out how to manage my stress. I’ve been stressing for the most basic things since I was little and I think I finally need to confront the issue instead of just dealing with it.
This video perfectly summarizes my research and practice interests! I’m so glad this information is available outside of taking a college course. Thank you Crash Course! I’ll be sending people this video when they ask about professional interests lol.
Well now I'm stressed about being stressed
Different people experience varying amount of stresses throughout their lives, and they have even more diverse ways of dealing with them (denial and overstimulation of senses being the two most popularly known.) Stress is a very primitive mechanism of the body to deal with the kind of life-or-dewath situations early humans faced quite often back in the day, but unfortunately it did not evolve the way our problems did. In my opinion, chronic stress should often be regarded as metastatic, because it kills you on the inside bit by bit while you experience every bit of the agony.
Thank you Crash Course once again for delivering such amazing high quality content! Your channel has been a lifesaver for me, and I continue recommending it to as many people as I can! You guys rock! 🤩👍🏻

OH MY GOSH, BRAINCRAFT YES. THIS SERIES IS LOVELY, THANKQ
Great subject and great presentation !
Prepper channels have the grossest titles and topics. All they do is stress people out.
Prepper channel: *BREAKING! Doomsday is here! This changes everything! Society collapsing today!*
I needed this
Great now I'm stressed about being stressed
Thank you!
If your stuck somewhere you don't want to be and you bin there so long time has lost all meaning you can help but feel stressed no amount of breathing exercises is going to help. It feels like I am drowning I look at my options I see no good ones
Thank you for the video
Good speech Mam 👩🏫
Thank you Crash Course 😀
great episode
Certain individuals try to stress me out at work, at home, or in public and I just walk away from them. No amount of money, time, or co-existence is worth my health..
imma be 100% with every single person on this giant green earth we live on. (or blue, if you wanna look at it that way) the title of this video is so important, especially right now in the midst of all of the bullcrap we see going on with society, our government, and the corruption that exists in everyone's day to day life.
Whenever I feel stressed I have found that screaming is a great relief.
I'm now I'm stress about my stress after watching this
Great 👍..
The world Needs kindness and love 😇💕💕😇💕

6:42 Unrelated, but is that a Rammstein poster?

Actually, the first thing I think of when I hear resource is YOU REQUIRE MORE VESPHENE GAS
a person of culture I see
Overall awesome content, as a med student in a very public health oriented university this is really enlightening... But I'm very disappointed that you called chom choms as bananas
What a call back! I had forgotten chom choms.
Wife has chronic anxiety and I can see it in her health. The frequency she gets sick, how long she is sick, and how much fatigue she carries with her.
Woooow
Nice video
Thanks for all the fish.
cool.
I do not like being calm and relaxed.
Great video, but what was the motivation to singling out issues within the United States? One would hope in time those issues within one country will pass.
Stress is Bad..
Because, of course it is.
Love you guys 🖖🙂
"stress is bad"
*Me who got a painful headache that lasted for a week, because of stress*: you could've warned me earlier
Hey guys
Sex Education crash course is most awaited 😬

Therefore school is bad for us.
Damn and here I was eating ts up like a kale salad
Is that Black women are aging faster than yt women or that they are facing lower economic status factors? Factors like environmental, mental illness, and ofcourse poverty?
Stress induces adaptation. Stress is not bad. Stress is a survival instinct. Just like eating, if you do it too much, it's unhealthy.
This is kind of funny to watch this video from Ukraine :D
That thumbnail gives me pain in the diodes down my left hand side.
Why do you believe Walt Whitmans “I contain multitudes” was referring to Walt?
Ping pong
Stress is also good for you…if you believe it is. I’ll post the study that supports my claim if requested and retract my claim should I fail to do so.
My childhood sucks, that's why I don't want children

Disability can cause a lot of stress. Source: I'm autistic
It would have been really nice to at least mention disability as a source of stress as it is more likely that I'll cry over the challenge of packing and picking out the right clothes before the funeral than the funeral itself
First ❤
Stress is not good for anyone 😮💨🥺🥺
