Hey, we just came here to say you made an impressive video series - congratulations and thank you for playing our game. Cheers from the developers! PS. We want to assure you that we are focusing on fixing all the bugs that you mention ;)
hey Developers sir you have plan to add mechanic like Encounter contact and relation between player faction and other faction/Free zone ? and you plan to make social and order mechanic inside our community and extra in this game will you allow modder people to amek mod freely
Ah this is what you meant by the Food stockpiling was going to change. Changing winter condition is very interesting. This probably also completely reworks the way you want to stockpile food. If grain and meat both go bad you probably want to hold the Tinned cans in someway that they won't get eaten (I.E Put them on the floor outside of a building.)
I think it's a cool idea to be able to adapt buildings, but I think there needs to be a way to build one as well - for instance the weather center that you couldn't quite find a spot for. There is plenty of space thanks to the buildings that were torn down. You should be able to construct a small building to fit your needs as well as being able to adapt ones that already exist. This is a fantastic series and the game looks great, too so kudos to you and the development team on this. I'm definitely going to be purchasing it once it's released.
It’s a mechanic that’s in many survival games like medieval dynasty and sons of the forest and it’s pretty cool. Makes you think ahead, beats the biome specific weather in other games.
I think the bad weather might have something do with climate change in game. Also I suggest leave the assault rifles at home in the towers as you have a few more, have one building for fuel and one for ammo.
@charliepryor actually those people to told you about the different colors on the building are correct. You CAN adapt a part of a building for a certain purpose without having to use the entire building for it. For instance, you can use half a building for a cookhouse and the rest for research center. You just drag your mouse over the part of the building till you get the numbers you want for said purpose and then use that.
@@Diesal3 no I think it’s intended. HQ has a maximum size, and if your starting building exceeds that it only does a part of it, up to that maximum. - and since you cannot mix adaptations (have part of a building serve a different function than another part of the same building), I cannot do anything with it.
@@CharliePryor Not arguing with you on this but I feel like it has the potential to be such a waste to only have a building be able to be an HQ. I understand the idea of limited split adaptions to similar building types but I've seen video thumbnails with massive buildings. To me since the HQ does come with at least storage the building its in should at least be able to be used as the rest for storage.
@@Alice-si8uz I think initial size being capped is a balance decision and I’m fine with it, but yeah, implementing mixed-use buildings will be a very welcome addition if they decide to do it
Another question can you take the guards out of the towers during the day and use them as workers and then put them back at night when the horde comes?
44:30 maybe you were lucky and the swarm eat the army. They said they needed supplies and ammo . Would be a realy good coding if this could be possible. And remember the housing needs a huge amount of wood . If you are out of wood you also cant cook . You wantet to clear the park for wood.
I wonder how it would look if you start a game on an island. Like Cuba, Aruba, Hawaii? Does it render topography like mountains, rivers etc. Start a game at a military base?
there is actually a couple month old vid i spotted on youtube about someone taking over what lookslike an island in hawaii or the asian islands between asia and australia.
Hey man idk if ur still playing on hard mode or not. But im new to ur channel and im not sure if youve learned or not but i just also learned this and i figured id pass on info. Im new to the game. But i noticed that when you unassign people you click through the buildings. If you click the civilians button 3rd button on the bottom left side next to ur build buttons you can select all where ur civilians are from there instead of spam looking through ur buildings. Just learned it today while playing. I know 0 about this game only that. Thought id pass it along
"It's 37°, it's freezing" Took me a while but I remembered that American's use Fahrenheit instead of a real system of measurement and that you aren't insane. But I did think that maybe you were revealing that you were secretly Australian.
Since the HQ is showing partial adaptation, as an HQ, will it let you adapt the rest of the HQ building as Housing? Just wondering. Enjoying the series. I went to FSU and my best friend went to CMU, way back in the day. So it is kind of familiar. Take care. JohnnyF
I sort of understand what they might be going for with the HQ (since it *is* a multi-purpose building that functions as both a storehouse and a shelter), although for clarity it would probably make more sense if it was just rendered as a half-and-half building from the get go instead of showing this weird empty space. But then, playable alpha: maybe that'll get fixed for the full release?
@@dargaronsoftsong3193 I am pretty sure it's a visual effect to let the player know there are two buildings in that square. The HQ building and the one coming into the HQ from the side. As you can see (and Charlie has shown) the green on top of all the HQ building. So it has adapted it all from the beginning of the game's rendering. I also think you can't maniuplate your HQ building, it just give you a whole building to begin with.
I’m really hyped to buy this game when it comes out. I’m wondering if there is a way to, for example, clear an entire city, or even state? Like can you expand your initial square?
This thing with some sort of multiplayer (Radio Comms, for example) would feel great (Doesn't need to be full "co-op" orv"PvP/Takeover/Robb" ... Just knowing the existance of other survivors/HQ's in the world.. Specially with a world-based map.
I think they pushed back the release date a week (wasn't it supposed to be on the 5th?). When I looked just now the date was the 11th. I like to think that your videos have revealed a few issues they want to fix.
They pushed it back from October 5th last year, but since then it has been April 11th. (thats what you might be getting your 5th from) I think release dates for these devs is always a thursday. So friday 5th april would be odd for them. (211 operator came out on a thursday on the 23 april 2020 for example)
I think you have to be more detailed with your queuing. Queue up a house, then the vehicle, then the next house, then the vehicle again, so on and so forth.
Yeah, at that point when the seasons decided to flip flop from year to year I'd be done ... the game has many issues thus far, and I wouldn't put up with that crap on top of the other. Will have to see how it goes as the game progresses but frankly I want games to find a niche and stick to it. If I'm fighting infected/undead I'm not interested in swapping mid game to Frostpunk. Especially when I can't build a greenhouse.

Great game you are all doing a brilliant job can't wait till it's out
You really handle the enemies (hords & etc) really good!❤👍🏻✨️
19:40 'C'mon dead people' 😂😂😂😂nice!
21:50 This is why we watch you! It wouldn't be the same if you did look stuff up. Plus sometimes you notice things that others do not.

Others playing this game have said non-American maps are more stable. The European play throughs have been more stable from what I've observed.
I really enjoy watching you play this series.

What about multi use
Like hq isn't fully used so put somthing in space free?
Changing seasons is an awesome idea. I have never heard of that before. The game really throws you a curve ball.

So.. Southern hemisphere weather?
Now you know how they feel with our "northern-hemisphere" standardized games.
40:00 that’s a nice work around for a really irritating looking bug.
Appreciate your effort to bring us a good time, thank you!

I have never disputed that partial adaptation was possible. What I keep being told, and what I absolutely cannot do anything about, is my HQ.

Wonderful video, cant wait to see what happens.
Shame about the bugs but I saw they just updated- A patch came out a few hours ago (Wed Apr 3rd)
:)
Yup! I’m recorded up to 10 before that patch, so I guess we’ll see if anything changes in 11
you really got to try California with this event

Stability for this game is next to zero, would recommend holding off on giving any money until things improve. This is more than a work in progress
Maybe it’s set to Southern Hemisphere?
My thoughts.
Ah yes, the year of 1812. The year without a summer.
I wonder if the reason for the outbreak was a volcanic eruption then hmm

Yes. Metric measurements and 24-hour timescale are also options.

That was not possible in this build

Does anyone know what the price is gonna be?
Looks like $27 for basic $55 for future DLC and $99 for DLC, early access, and another game from the dev

Global Warming!!!!!! but seriously, good series. But, i suggest doing advanced masonry and getting some fortified walls/towers/gates.
Hello there charlie love your videos. but one question for the gate that you put down the wall is still built in that same place
It replaces the wall.
i do not know why, or how, but for some reason this video and the last one gave me an excesive amount of ads, like every 5 to 10 minutes.
Man I was disappointed when I went to buy this game only to realize it wasn’t available until the 11th
Flipped seasons: global warming!! Lol
