I cried right a long with her husband when he opened the box saying they had adopted her. My foster fail is sleeping right next to me on the couch, 5 years this month!
My foster fail is also asleep on the couch next to me. 5 years next month. Plus 2 years ago the vet predicted she only had up to 2 months left to live. I cried at this 10 seconds in and hadn't actually even clicked on the video 😂
I can’t believe someone adopted her just to neglect her, that’s such a horrible thing to do! I’m glad Mary is ok and she found the home she deserves! ❤

That must've been so difficult for the original rescue lady who realized Mary ended up in a bad situation despite their having taken steps to ensure a good permanent placement. Looks like a great Christmas homecoming for Mary, at her new forever home with her new, loving forever daddy!
It is…. I once vetted a family to take the most loving labradane. They called after 2 years to return her she was skin and bones. I cried for weeks, she was the most gentle dog you have ever met and she was starving. She never left us again. They were a wealthy family too so not feeding her was not an excuse, just plain negligence. She was scared of going outside every time my husband would open the door for our dogs to go outside she would run farther inside. I think they kept her outside all this time. Broke my heart into pieces but at least now I know she is with us and happy, warm and healthy again. Oh she also started barking again not too long ago. She was not barking for a long time when she came back😭.

@@shiks800 It's heartbreaking. I got my one boy from a rescue who do everything they can to make sure the dogs in their care go to good homes, but sometimes mistakes happen. Fortunately they keep ownership of the dog in the contract and full RBU so the dog goes back to them if it's not looked after or something happens and they can't keep the dog. My friends have a dog of theirs that they removed because of neglect. The family seemed perfect, but they were anything but. He's thriving now and they've just adopted a young female who he treats like a baby sister. Both of them are so well looked after and pampered, but it's awful how cruel even the nicest seeming people can be.
@@Jack_Russell_Brown They worm their way into your heart, don't they? I don't get people who keep dogs outside and don't treat them like the sensitive and loving creatures they are. Mine know it's bed time and they know their spot on the bed. They try it on and lie in my spot, but they move when I tell them to and grumble while doing it. It's just a game, they know they'll get cuddles before I roll over to go to sleep. They tell me when it's walkies time, and alert me when a killer leaf is blowing across the yard. It might be harmless, it might be waiting to kill us all in our beds. Best to bark loudly to scare it off just in case 😂

You would think they would want to take pictures of their new life with their adopted and adored pets to share with people, especially those they adopted them from. I always wondered about those types that take precious animals and drive off to their darkness. Well, there's a specially dark dungeon waiting for them with their name on their collar.

that video did me in too.....we found our dog at a rescue centre 4yrs ago....a Chow....one of the most difficult headstrong breeds as you know.....struggled for two years.....had to move house and from then on he has been so different.....like he wasn't happy at the old place......he's one real happy soul now, fields and open spaces, one car per day in the village.........i feel now he is finally settled after whatever he went through to end up in a shelter.....long, hard road but a Chow is a Chow- if you ain't up to it then don't start it !.....

I thought today was a day that I would not shed any tears. That all changed when I watched this beautiful clip about Mary. After what Mary endured before she was rescued by an earth angel, we can only imagine the abuse and trauma 💔 that she went through. To compound her suffering her new supposed forever home , subjected her to even more suffering. That was in no way the fault of the earth angels. To then see Mary in the forever home that she deserves ❤ 💕 💖, well what more can I say. Her new forever home is full of love 💘 💕 and joy.

I now think my favorite part is in the end (not when he opens the gift) but it’s when the family starts applauding and come together. It gets me every time. To see such a loving and supporting family. Together, unified, on the same page. I’ve had many a friend foster fair. It’s a badge of honor.

Absolute truth...and there are people who actually become jealous of pets. I trust no one with my animals id be a foster fail every time. In fact, I have 3 cat sacks used for restraint that I no longer need but will take with me to my grave bc I'm afraid of who might get them & what they'd do with them. Seems like there are way too many 'wonderful people' who are hiding their true & hideous core from others.
I can't even imagine how angry she must have been when she found Mary at the shelter. I would have been absolutely livid, making sure the people who neglected her would be put on every black list possible
She has quite an angry not-smile while she's talking about it. Reminds me that throughout most of the animal kingdom, showing one's teeth is very much a sign of aggression. If she ever got her hands on the people who did that... well, I'd just hold her coat for her and I wouldn't see a DAMN thing.

I rescued a beautiful 3yr old black & white Great Dane from the shelter about a month ago. She was rescued from an NYPD cruelty case, and had given birth to 8 puppies who were all adopted. She has turned out to be an amazing dog. My husband didn't want to adopt her at first, I guess when she got in the car & kissed him it was a done deal.
I don't understand why can't all humans feel the love and respect for animals like you. You people are angels who keeps humanity alive. I wish world had more humans like you.🙏
Oh lord I can hardly watch these videos of animals that were mistreated. Who does that? What is wrong with those people? I hope they rot in hell. On another note, thank God you found her and she got the life she deserves!! Thank you!!
This is a beautiful story! You shouldn't blame yourself for someone else actions. You did your due diligence. Sometimes, people just fool you. Mary did get her loving home after all, just as she deserves.

This provides additional ways to train in addition to the two obedience classes my sicx month old belgian malinois has already attended. Despite having dogs my whole life, i have been voraiciously reading dog training and psychology books lately given my little "maligator" has a mind of her own (extremely smart but obstinate) , and this one ranks among the best.
This was a wonderful happily ever after for Mary. Doug truly loved her and her him. To see him cry was a wonderful thing to see. Thank you Doug for showing your emotion and loving Mary. 💜
When he opened the box with her name tag and address I cried with him too! Felt so bad for the lady that tried so hard to ensure all the puppies had good furever homes. So very happy it ended happily! Thank goodness the dog was chipped to her so the shelter could call her.❤
She is such a beautiful dog, and deserve a good family. I wish that all adoption stories were as loving as this family. Both the people in this story are blessing's to the animals they foster.
After all the work the foster parents did in the beginning for someone to adopt Mary and then treat her like that. I know it broke the foster families heart.

It brought tears in my eyes seeing the defeated and "all lost" expression on her face when you went to the shelter again for Mary. I was elated again when she recognized you and it was as if she regained all her lost spirit and she knew her future would be better once again. A touching story. And that guy is a real man. A real man does not feel shy to cry when he is full of emotions.
So happy for Mary. I have also had failures with fostering. Lets just say I always fostered cats and the black ones always found a home with us. They are usually left at a shelter if they cannot be placed and we were not going to let that happen to our babies.
That man wasn't the only one with tears in his eyes! I truly want to take a bat to people that abuse animals. All these animals want is a loving home and a safe place.
I know they can't but I would track those...creatures down and give them 100x the pain that they inflicted onto this sweet little baby, the things that abuse animals don't deserve to walk the same land as them! I am so glad this sweet girl is safe and home it shouldn't have happened, but she will be loved for the rest of her long life❤❤
there's nothing quite like a story that makes me burst into tears early on a Saturday morning. I had to pause in order to collect myself as my two lovely dogs were nuzzling me as if to ask if I was okay. Dogs are better than many people that way... God bless those who rescue negelected animals from their tormentors!
I adopted a Belgian Malinois and they talked to my vet first. She is now 14 years and 5 months old. She is so sweet with my grandsons. What a beautiful story.
I had a similar experience with my rescue Lab nearly 11 years ago. We are still inseparable and watching this brought all those emotions and tears back again. God Bless!
It's bad enough abandoning, neglecting and abuse an animal, and it should never ever happen. To do All that to a rescue dog is simply unforgiveable and blunted!
This is the saddest thing about rescue...you give your 100% trust in the home you put the little one you get out of the street without expecting not even knowing how the family really is and you just hope for that family be the one that will take care of them as they deserve for the rest of just that animal life and it turn out that it is not like that, that they even tried to reach to you first to take over the dog again and decide to just dumped them back in streets or another shelter😢
Great ending but are the people who abused Mary going to be prosecuted??? So sick of hearing these abuse stories where no one seems to ever be held accountable! Looks like she was starved for one, let alone how did she get SCARS???? I am furious just hearing about it. Please rescue group give us an update on that. Of course absolutely thrilled she was rescued again and got a great home! ❤

Because they had the information on the SCUMBAGS whom did that to her, I hope they have BARRED THEM FOR LIFE FROM ADOPTION, and spread the word in the rescue community. Those monsters deserve to be trapped, naked in a garbage dump, so the flies can chew them to pieces, while onlookers throw sharp, nasty trash at them.
So glad that this story ends well. But this is also why the idea of fostering is difficult to deal with. People who foster, love animals, and know how to handle them and to earn their trust. Those who adopt can turn out to be shits like those who treated Mary in that manner. I'm all for foster fails!! Bless this family

This is a beautiful story! You shouldn't blame yourself for someone else actions. You did your due diligence. Sometimes, people just fool you. Mary did get her loving home after all, just as she deserves.

This provides additional ways to train in addition to the two obedience classes my sicx month old belgian malinois has already attended. Despite having dogs my whole life, i have been voraiciously reading dog training and psychology books lately given my little "maligator" has a mind of her own (extremely smart but obstinate) , and this one ranks among the best.
I love that when everyone is excited she goes and gets a toy to play.
This was a wonderful happily ever after for Mary. Doug truly loved her and her him. To see him cry was a wonderful thing to see. Thank you Doug for showing your emotion and loving Mary. 💜
When he opened the box with her name tag and address I cried with him too! Felt so bad for the lady that tried so hard to ensure all the puppies had good furever homes. So very happy it ended happily! Thank goodness the dog was chipped to her so the shelter could call her.❤

It brought tears in my eyes seeing the defeated and "all lost" expression on her face when you went to the shelter again for Mary. I was elated again when she recognized you and it was as if she regained all her lost spirit and she knew her future would be better once again. A touching story. And that guy is a real man. A real man does not feel shy to cry when he is full of emotions.
So happy for Mary. I have also had failures with fostering. Lets just say I always fostered cats and the black ones always found a home with us. They are usually left at a shelter if they cannot be placed and we were not going to let that happen to our babies.

there's nothing quite like a story that makes me burst into tears early on a Saturday morning. I had to pause in order to collect myself as my two lovely dogs were nuzzling me as if to ask if I was okay. Dogs are better than many people that way... God bless those who rescue negelected animals from their tormentors!

I adopted a Belgian Malinois and they talked to my vet first. She is now 14 years and 5 months old. She is so sweet with my grandsons. What a beautiful story.

I had a similar experience with my rescue Lab nearly 11 years ago. We are still inseparable and watching this brought all those emotions and tears back again. God Bless!
It's bad enough abandoning, neglecting and abuse an animal, and it should never ever happen. To do All that to a rescue dog is simply unforgiveable and blunted!

Never regret giving a pet a loving home, the reward is priceless. They give so much joy in our lives.
This is the saddest thing about rescue...you give your 100% trust in the home you put the little one you get out of the street without expecting not even knowing how the family really is and you just hope for that family be the one that will take care of them as they deserve for the rest of just that animal life and it turn out that it is not like that, that they even tried to reach to you first to take over the dog again and decide to just dumped them back in streets or another shelter😢

Great ending but are the people who abused Mary going to be prosecuted??? So sick of hearing these abuse stories where no one seems to ever be held accountable! Looks like she was starved for one, let alone how did she get SCARS???? I am furious just hearing about it. Please rescue group give us an update on that. Of course absolutely thrilled she was rescued again and got a great home! ❤

So glad that this story ends well. But this is also why the idea of fostering is difficult to deal with. People who foster, love animals, and know how to handle them and to earn their trust.
