Such a loving couple... keeping a female human around and letting her sleep in their bed.
OMG that's amazing, I almost spit out my drink xD! Thank you so much, I really needed that laugh today :-).
Oh my! Is that not so true or what! I mean it's wonderful how much love Rusty is getting but I hope her husband makes time for her as well or hopefully Rusty will
so.... the turned have finnaly tables!
🤣🤣
It’s for whenever the human man needs to bust one out, she helps him. Wink wink.
instead of getting jealous or mad she is encouraging and happy. fine woman, by any measure
Now, that's the power of love.
@@tommygaga7117 The power of emotional maturity!
oh shes definitely jealous, she just doesn't harness that into negativity.
She's delighted!!! The love fills their home. They truly love animals.
Jealous... of an animal? Lmao
A home, a great wife and a good dog. Man is living the dream.
for real tho
Actually a couple dogs AND a cat too!! They're the exact same couple from the video of the cat that was returned to the shelter because "the maid didn't like him."
Absolutely LOVE this couple's outlook and energy and vibes and everything!

Most amazing story this world has ever witnessed

I loved what this woman said at the end. You don't have to worry anymore, you have a forever home with people that love you.
And what did Rusty said to her? Nothing? ... She's so pathetic and fake. No wonder Rusty chose her husband over her, she's just "social networks PR", nothing to do with real affection towards Rusty. She's has no feelings for that dog but she has that need to present herself on UA-cam. Don't you think her husband was talking too much on this video???😂😂😂😂
They brought a filthy, disease and bacteria ridden bag of CRAP into their home to live with them. A disgusting old habit that we should have KICKED sometime about 70,000 BC. dogs are Humankind's filthiest curse!!
@Is really toasty here dogs are a health hazard. Just for starters, they have greasy stinky fur, and the rub that stink-oil over everything, just like rats. cats and rabbits have dry cotton-like fur. dogs have filthy bodies, like sewer rats.
she's the sweetest
It'd be nice for some humans to hear that, too.
Props to the couple for choosing a dog that no one else would adopt. Those are the ones that need the most help.
💯
Both their dogs remind me of my dog. The way they lay around and on top of you
i would choose her anytime to be with my big chihuahua ! my dog love any other animals but not humans lol, i love her !

Over the years I’ve adopted 3 cats off of the “kill floor” from my boston shelter. The longest it took to change any of them into an awesome companion fit for any home was 18 days. I firmly believe you can rehab practically any pet with the right combination of strength *and* compassion
It goes to show the dog at the shelter probably is not the dog he’d/she’d be once rescued. The shelter is so incredibly scary for them.
Well said.🥰
Good point. It's like when humans our in shelters, it's not a home.
Agreed - a lot of animals (esp those who've been abused) seem to have a fairly aggressive-sounding or noisy fear response, and many shelter volunteers don't seem to have the necessary training to recognise that it's just that, fear not actual aggression? Unfortunately where that lack of awareness collides with pre-existing breed prejudices (eg around bully breeds), dogs can get even further fast-tracked to the euthanasia list. Always really appreciate hearing of people who've managed to step in at that point and rescue a dog (or cat!) who would've otherwise not had a chance?
Exactly. Don't judge a dog by how they react behind bars. Get them out and see their true colors
@Carol thank you for fostering and saving lives ❤️
What a nice family. A man, his dog, and a pet human.
You don't have to worry about another woman. You've lost to a dog. But, the relationship your dog has with your husband is a joy to watch. You are really a special lady to find joy in this.
Hello👋
Hello👋
Best kind of “problem” to have, right?
🤧 aww he's such a gorgeous boy, definitely a daddy's boy, bless you for adopting him, sorry for the lost of your other German shepherd, may rest in peace, 🙏🖤
Dag-gum, Rusty is soooo freakin' cute❤️❤️ You two are the perfect humans for him as he can certainly sense haha w much you and your husband love him❤️ Plus he has playmates if your husband is otherwise engaged in some other activity. What a wonderful family ❣️❤️♥️
Okay
Rusty is beautiful. I'm so sorry about your other German Shepherd. I just recently lost one i had for a long time. It really hurt me. I didn't want to give him up. It still pains me. I know how you feel. I'm glad you have Rusty what a great dog. I'm looking

My wife feels your pain 😂 I kinda stole her yorkie

I stole my wife’s golden retriever pup 5 yrs ago. We had to get her a mini dachshund a year ago.

Refuses to give the ball back.
Sounds like a German shepherd to me 😂❤
He is so gorgeous. Thank you for rescuing him.
Still waiting to get grandpa’s bicycle back.
Dog is not man's best friend. Dogs are the LOVE of our lives. And we of theirs. We need more laws to protect them as members of our family, a multi-species family.
As someone who was a 4th wheel (our GSD preferred my husband and daughter to me) you will be surprised. He knew I was the one to go to for food, walks, and when he hurts himself or feels yucky. And he’d obey me like a moody teenager…”fine, whatever”… It was like that for four years. 2/13/17 until 9/13/21. When my mom died. He did not leave my side for the following 2 weeks. And since then…he comes to me for cuddles, gives me kisses, and even shares his squeaky with me. Occasionally. He’s funny about his squeaky. I was told by a couple trainers that a GSD needs to be needed, and considering we had a rottie who was a mamas boy and a pit/beagle who was queen bee…he knew I didn’t need him. Until I did. ☺️
Amazing
Dogs are so intuitive, the will comfort you without question. When I was pregnant with my 1st born we were living with my parents waiting on a house to become ready to rent. My mom was an R.N. So that was convenient but I went into labor at midnight and I didn’t automatically realize it. It wasn’t until I had the 2 contraction about 30 min later that I realized it. My moms dog, a Yorkie named Cowboy, got in my bed and curled up to my belly and every time I’d have a contraction, he would just tremble, the contraction would stop and he would quit trembling. This went on until it was time to go the the hospital. Mom mom said he would not leave the door the whole time I was gone. She had to move his food and water to the door. When I came home with the baby, he would lay under his cradle, (yeah, it was that long ago). If he whimpered or cried, he was up wanting someone to come get the baby.
Wow. Dogs are the best creatures on this earth.
That's beautiful!
That's truly amazing. Dogs are far more intuitive than we can even imagine. They truly become extensions of ourselves. Bless these amazing and gorgeous for-legged creatures. We need them every bit as much as they need us. ❤
All dogs should be able to experience this level of contentment. There's no doubt Rusty feels safe and loved for he is. Bless this couple for providing such a wonderful home.
@Kashgari yeah I agree, give all humans a dog and they will be content😂🤣🤣
That lady deserves to be cuddled by Rusty.
He's just a big Ole puppy! What a sweet dog, I'm so glad your destinies intertwined.
So sweet, what a great mommy who encourages the connection between Rusty and her husband, she celebrates and isn't threatened by the bond, says a lot about the heart of mommy.
this!
Absolutely!!! Such a beautiful mom and dad-And Rusty is awesome and is one lucky dog to have these parents…and Rusty knows it! 🥰.
@Florence You'd be surprised. Over the years I've heard plenty of stories about one partner getting jealous at the bond between their partner and their pet or the time they spent with it.
@Florence you underestiate the female mind, they are capable of olympic level mental gymnastics

He’s a big puppy. Just like when people don’t get the childhood they deserve it’ll eventually surface. We all need that extra love.
What do you mean with people it will surface?

The whole household seems like a great place: 2 dogs and 2 cats being so friendly and well taken care of. Even if you have the money, just one pet is a huge responsibility.
Great dog. Great parents. Great other pets. Great home. Rusty made out. Thank you for saving him. He (& you) brought a great, big smile to my face & made my day brighter.

Dude even I'm jealous of this guy. Dogs are just angels that smell funny.
Lucky Rusty! You guys are fantastic parents! Hope he shows Mommy love soon.😅 so cute!

I’m sure he loves her too. Sometimes dogs just have an absolute favorite person, but still love the rest of their pack also😊
@@jessica_jam4386 yep Ihave one like that. She likes other people but Mummy is who she clings to.😊🥰 I am blessed to have her as my best friend. And it fills my heart when I see others with the same blessings. Fur feather or fin all make our lives better in my opinion. 😊 thanx 4 the responses guys.😊😊
She is glad she doesn´t have to clean after the dog, so she has more time for herself.
It's the same way with my cat and my husband. Even though I'm the one who buys all her toys and towers, plays the most with her, and babies her more, she LOVES him, and tolerates me. Sigh.
Do not beat up yourself, cats are just picky, it's nothing personal.
She is simply kowtowing the one that she believes is the Alpha of the house. Cats are pack-minded animals and because of that, they try and keep the pack leader happy. My cats do the same thing with me, and it makes my girlfriend very sad. Oddly enough, if I show my girlfriend affection, my cats follow suit and climb all over her and try and groom her, which is always a good sign. This is how I try and keep the peace in my home. Either way, don't take it personally, it's just a cat being a cat.
What BEAUTIFUL dog Rusty is! What loving folk to give him such a wonderful loving home. Thank the Lord there are folk around like you to show love to these lost souls. xxx
kudos to the Pet Parents; special mention to the Mom, such a loving woman and selfless, a keeper indeed. 💜
FIrst off, my condolences on the loss of your GSD. I recently lost my male GSD and I know how much it hurts. That is wonderful you adopted Rusty, he is a beautiful boy! Children ?
The dog is so cute!!! and he is 100% a daddy boy indeed!
He is not small enough to be a lap dog, but he doesn't know that, he sees a lap and that's where he thinks he belongs. I am happy for all of you, in your friendship and love for each other. Think how replete and happy Rusty feels to be so loved and happy. You are all very lucky to have each other.
"not small enough to be a lap dog"
GMS worldwide "I cant believe you said that!!"
I think the whole "He doesn't know he's NOT a lap dog" thing MUST be a shelter dog thing. I have known two other dogs around 40+ pounds or so that have both been types to climb into a person's lap. I would say it's both a love thing as well as an insecure thing. "Love" to say they appreciated being chosen, and "insecure" as if not sure they are truly being folded into the fabric of the family they've become a part of.
Both Ginger and Dimebag (named, obviously, for the guitarist of Pantera) were very sweet dogs and just wanted to be loved...like the dog in this video.
He is a beautiful looking dog 🐕. Just super cute.
I feel sorry for big dogs. People automatically think they'll be to much work. I've found many dogs in the streets and helped rehome them. I took in a Mastiff that was abondon at a parking lot, and had many people ask about her but no one wanted a big dog. A year later, my mom fell in love with her and kept her. The Mastiff is so sweet that her name is now Maple.
Wonderful!
Part of it is due to rental and strata laws so often not allowing medium - large dogs…discrimination. Instead any laws regarding dogs should be about behavior, not size or breed.
ur amazing
People don't know that big dogs are usually chill all day cause of their big size they are not as active as smaller dogs. The only downside i can see is the cost for the food.
I just took in a dog that was a stray as well and he was the longest one at the shelter 9 months... Best thing ever just list the love of my life binky 14 years. Best decision ever. We both are blessed
Thank you for giving him a home. I can see how much he loves his home and his humans. God bless you for what you’ve done for him.
I'm glad you all found each other and I'm wishing all of you all of the best.

Awww I had a GSD/collie cross named Rusty who looked JUST LIKE this one except with long hair! He also had trouble adjusting when he first came home from the shelter and then bonded strongly with just one person (me) and that helped him chill around other people. He passed at 12 a long time ago, but he was my dog all through my high school/college years and definitely a special boy.
Its stories like these that keep me going in life, knowing that love is still the most powerful thing in our world.

Lol, an ex-girlfriend and I had a similar experience. She had found a stray pregnant cat and she brought her home with her. The cat was friendly so we kept her instead of taking her to the humane society. We named her Church because she looked like the cat on Pet Cemetery. Church very quickly became attached to me and followed me all over the house. If she didn't follow me then she would sit wherever I was sitting and wouldn't let anyone sit there. She had her babies and we found good homes for them with friends. Church was always with me and she absolutely loved to sit on my chest and groom my beard and stash while she purred and massaged me with her murder mittens. She liked other people but she loved me and made sure everyone knew that I belonged to her.
I've never heard of "murder mittens" before. 😂
Murder mittens, hilarious.
I had a cool cat as a teen, who loved on me but not like that. Glad you found her! Gotta keep that one.
@@frolickinglions- my dad had semi adopted a big main coon when his people just left him at the apartments when they moved. He survived on his own for a while and was always an indoor /outdoor cat even after "adopted".
He obviously had all his claws and occasionally he'd get a little rough when playing. I remember once he reached out and grabbed the sides of my face by my temples when he was on a cabinet and I was popping up in a peekaboo type game.
I said, "Okay. Playtime is over," as I froze. I gently pried his claws out of the side of my face without cutting myself. Luckily he was generally fairly gentle and didn't pull away even though he had been hyped while playing.
Murder mittens indeed. He was all black with white on his chest and paws which did make them look like mittens.
I'm also reminded of that event when I watch "I am Puma" and their cougar reaches out to bat or grab at his "dad's" face with those huge paws.

Great comment 💯❤
Thank you for giving this lovely boy a chance. He just needed a home where he knows he is safe and loved to come out of his shell.
My cat had social issues listed at the shelter. The family that had him kept him locked in a bathroom so he hadn't been properly socialized. Shortly after adopting him it was discovered he had urinary issues. Aside from an emergency vet visit he's been perfectly good since just eating special food. It took time for him to be trusting and to get more than a few pets without being overstimulated and freaking out. 4 years after adoption he turned into a complete lap cat. Every morning now I sit down and enjoy my coffee or tea with a cat sprawled across my lap purring like mad. I hate to think what could have happened to him if someone else had adopted him. He may have ended up back at the shelter over and over, or not have had his medical needs tended to properly.
I know that feeling, dear lady. I adopted a Chow/Keeshond years ago that chose my husband as her main person. I felt so left out since I was the one who fed, brushed, bathed and walked her.
I have x2 chows. This makes me laugh as chows are so rude! 😂
Just like our old family dog. If you do all the work for them they view you as servant and daddy is there for the fun times :p
@@Daniel-rd6st With dogs, it's all about HOW you do things. If you cater to them, you are not the Alpha. If you make them do what needs to be done, you are.
For instance, when I wash the dog, I make a point to command her to put herself into the bathtub.
She don't like that too much. But she does it begrudgingly. And it's cute as hell, lol.
And she knows she's not the boss with me.
It's one of those things that are easy for certain types of people, and hard to do for other types. Depends on whether leading or following comes naturally to you.

Thank you for posting your lovely video. Rescue dogs can be so very precious. I just adopted a shepard, and he is similar to your sweet rusty. My dog is also a great guard dog. Shepards are great.
this brings back the memory of the dog I used to play with. Her name was lali. She was a female stray pup adopted by my cousin. we were neighbors so after school I often visited them to play with her. But all changed when they adopted another pup and started to neglect her. She wasn't even fed properly. Naturally she became malnourished. They even abandoned her when they found out she had gotten a disease that couldn't be cured. I didn't know this cuz at the time I was too young and was preparing for my school exams. After the exams I found her skinny as skeleton and shivering from cold. As there was no vet in my area I took care of her as much as I could. My parents didn't allow me to adopt her for various reasons so all I could do is provide her some food. I made her a bed from rags just outside the door under the shed. It was a place where rain couldn't reach so she stayed there for her last couple of weeks. But the food I gave her wasn't enough for her weak body. She eventually died of the disease and malnourishment. Lali, wherever you are I hope you have found happiness and a family that can take proper care of you. You deserve all the love in the world. I won't ask for forgiveness bcz I know had I taken better care of you, you could've been alive for a little bit more😭
Oh, that hurt😭😭😭😭😭
Oh....people are horrible! Bless you and Lali

There will never be another like *her* no. But there's a dog out there who needs you.(Especially now that all those selfish 'not really dog people' have abandoned their pandemic rescues.)
As owners of two German Shepherds, I feel your pain. They are definitely attached to my wife.
Hahahahahaha aww Mamma boy at least you know you're wife is loved and a fly can't land on their Mom 🙂
Parents, not owners. Let's change that. Maybe if people are aware that they're adopting a child, not buying a pet more animals will have permanent homes.
Yep! We rescued a big, intense, aloof yet sweet wolfhound mix. My wife had never had a dog before. I'm his roughhouse play and walk buddy, but Zeke is my wife's dog. Not fair, but nice to see.
@@michelewalburn4376 - I'll meet you half way, as I'm still not comfortable with the whole pet parent thing. Our dogs aren't our kids, but more like our four legged partners, each with our own roles and jobs in the relationship.
@@michelewalburn4376 We have enjoyed the dog whisper Cesar Milan for many many years. There’s one consistency that we found and it’s this….you can’t think of a dog as a child…you have to think of a dog as part of your pack, because that’s how he/she will see you… as part of a pack
Wonderful…. Thanks for sharing…. That’s a dog who’s found his rightful home……. 😎🇬🇧🐕
I can't stop watching this. I've watched it 3x in a row. Rusty is ADORABLE and I know how Mama feels with wanting to cuddle up with him too... No one can give better "cuddles" than a big ol dog.... Little one's too lol. I would LOVE to find a Rusty for myself... Such a wonderful lady for not being upset or jealous when it comes to the cuddle part. I love how you could only see the head part on the other dog... He got cuddles too weather he wanted them or not lol. Beautiful family. Thank you for sharing... ❤
One of the most beautiful feelings in the world. The bond between human and animal. PURE!
Lost my dog a few years back when I was away serving for the Army. To come home to an empty house was on of the hardest things ever. Still miss my girl so much. Felt like I lost a child.
Well, in all fairness, we're animals too... Mammals ;) I know what you mean though, other animals don't tend to judge, i haven't had that bond since 2010, when i lost my cat through 16 years, i feel like i don't wanna get my heart broken again, but, who knows, right? Bonded with a pack of wolves some years back, part of an experiment, that was some scary sh*t!!! :P
Thinking about getting a German Shepard or a Husky, or both, just for the fun of it, so they can eat all the other little shits that are allowed in my building complex the past year or so :P
Rusty loves his human dad so much. Look how relax he is❤❤❤
WOW YOUR DOG IS BEAUTIFUL!!! GOOD JOB GUYS!!!
German Shepherd's are the best dogs ever! Thank you for sharing this video.
Mine is definitely a mommy's boy and l love him to bits. I've never loved anyone the way my heart melts for him...❤
Dogs have a way of reaching your heart and soul. We have a rescue Chihuahua that my daughter begged me to get because a classmate was giving her away. This classmate's mother was taking little Nana to be euthanized the next day and that did it for me. I told my daughter that she was fully responsible and had to do everything to show she could be responsible for the dog because we weren't even allowed to have pets.
My daughter is now in college after 4yrs of taking care of the dog. Now she is my dog and sleeps with me, and I have found myself loving this little tiny girl and can't imagine life without her. They ink themselves into your heart ❤️💞
@@ritacheatham9048 yes you are so right. They really do ink themselves into your heart. And what a wonderful thing you did by rescuing your little furbaby ❤️
Beautiful story! It’s wonderful that beautiful Rusty got two awesome people! If the world had more people with your ideals it would be a better place! God bless all of you!
Dogs love routines and respond well to positive people ❤
Bless you for getting Rusty and not playing the victim of fainting on the couch and say, "Oh I can't ever have another dog ever." Those people annoy me. Buck up butter cup. Thank you for taking such good care of this dog who is so worthy!
Most aggression you see in the Shelter, is just because they are scared. I love that you adopted him anyways!
Hes cute and a very sweet boy ! You really love him ! Sorry you lost your other dog and its hard to lose animals !
For some reason all dogs always pick out one person to be close to. He's adorable
