Hello viewers! This is a 25 minute clip of GIANT PERIGEE year 1994 Bike Restoration owned by father of Reynold Paez Pertacorta. Some parts are replaced due to safety reasons. And notice how high end the Shimano brakes are. Upon reattaching them, they match up to the wheel without need to adjust the cable. Quality barrel adjuster too.

Very nice road bike. Indexed downtube shifters are wonderful, I wish manufacturers still offered them.
You should probably treat the inside of the frame with an anticorrosive to prevent it from rusting through.
I doubt painting the pedals and cranks is a good idea. Also singlewall rims are a great pain.

I sprayed some wd40 spray inside, I'm afraid I can't use any rust converters coz it will damage the integrity of the frame

@@CoggieBike in Russia, in most high-end shops steel frames are treated with the same stuff that's sprayed inside truck frames. It's not the same thing as a rust converter, it's a rust inhibitor/anticorrosive preservative
Beautiful work. One question - it appeared as though the brake levers were mounted a bit on the low side - isn't usual method to check using a straight edge that bottom of bars and bottom of levers are equal?
Maybin also suggest a chain stay guard to prevent contact abrasion from chain slap during shifting. Also, to other readers, I advise tightening the quick release in the upper position and tonthe rear. A stick, branch, or other object could engage the level while traveling foward and disconnect the wheel.
This was such a beautiful restoration and so satisfying 🙌✨

Dahil sa sobrang focus ko sa panonood ng restoration vids mo, di ko nakita na free labor pala pa restore sayo idol hehe. Anyway, dahil sa kakanood ko ng restoration videos mo idol, nainspire ako at nag restore din ako ng isang classic mountain bike. Although may mga parts akong pinaltan gaya ng mga spokes na nagato dahil sa rust, all in all it was a great 2weeks experience para sa tulad kong na walang kaalam alam sa pag rerestore ng bike na sumubok lang. Ngayon nagagamit ko na siya.More power sayo idol!
and by watching this video, ang dami kong natutunan at nalaman tulad nalang kung san ako nagkamali during the process lalo na sa pag aapply ng primer up to the final coating ng mismong paint.

Instead of cutting the old brakes, you can access the screw by lowering down the brake handle ! Just started to restore my bicycle and had the same trouble.
The only thing I would have do e differently, would be to get brake levers which held the cable internally, with a routing of both cables under the handle bar tape. Would clean the appearance nicely and reduce the busy aspect in front of the bar. Otherwise, top notch work.😎👍
