Great video! Two words of wisdom: 1. Make sure the notch is the correct one for cartridge you need, I thought they were universal. 2. Replace the seal & spring located below the cartridge. Great video, saved me some money & earned me Mr. Fix It, from Mrs. J.

Thanks for making these two videos, I followed your directions exactly and it was a pretty easy success! The plumbing guy at Lowes suggested I replace the spring and seat at the same time and told me how to dig them out and upon inspection the old seat was worn away and torn at the top! Glad I listened to him! So, thanks again!

Maybe you save 100 of dollars but by not giving this 100 dollars to the plumber the plumber guy won't be able to spend the same 100 dollars at your (ex) Restaurant. Just saying this cause I just wonder at the end of the day if we all win in that situation ~ We became communist in a capitalist system, don't you think? Can we have both? Mmh!

PERFECT. Your video was the exact same faucet we have and I was able to go thru it perfectly. I didn't have enough strength to pull straight up on the cartridge and was afraid of mangling something. I tried everything from pliers, to a pipe wrench, to vice grips, to penetrating liquid, to a screwdriver and no luck. I finally had to call in my husband. He popped it right up (of course all my work got it started, right?). We didn't have to replace the cartridge as there was a little piece of what looked like PVC pipe stuck in that side opening. Hmm, wonder where THAT"S coming from...I have been getting teeny bits in the faucet filter and the shower head filter. I cleaned out the green corrosion on the inside copper pipe, realigned the cartridge and pushed it down, put everything back on, and slowly ran the water. There was a weird looking bubble in the flowing water so I checked the filter and cleaned it out again. Now everything is good to go. THANK YOU!!!!

Hi, Stan! This is a great video and I'm thankful for your putting it together for those of us who are trying to learn to take care of the small things ourselves. I ran into the problem that I cannot for the life of me get the cartridge back in! I've tried everything and it's only me. I had to use pliers to put it out, replaced the spring and the rubber piece (cartridge seems fine). Any suggestions for a lady trying to fix it on her own?
