This video should be a model for anyone posting a "how-to-do-it." It's clear, concise, tells you exactly what you need to know without wasting time on fluff. Extremely helpful!
Your video deserves more views. 100% showed me how to do this job. My sink doesn't leak anymore and the action is as smooth as butter. Thanks for making such a clear how to.
Well thank you, 98xjdriver, for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and nice comment. It truly means a lot to me. I love hearing success stories like yours, and you're certainly welcome. Job well done on fixing the leak!
Word of caution for those who have an older home ie plumbing turning the shut off valves can cause these to leak. If you haven't touched these in 15, 20 years that was my experience now I have to replace both valves. I was able to tighten the nut on one but other leaks a lot. I fixed the leaky faucet though, just a word of caution but otherwise hands down this is the best how to video on You Tube.
Very well done. I prefer simple instructions with few words and to the point. I have been following instructions videos and this was very helpful thank you.
Thanks! The best kitchen faucet DIY I’ve ever seen. The explanations and names of parts were right on cue. I went to my local hardware store speaking as if I knew exactly what I wanted, requesting items by name. I was impressed with myself! I wish I could give you more but it did cost a good amount for the supplies. Again, thanks for the video.
Leatrice, bless your sweet heart. You don't owe me a thing. Your gratitude and thoughtful comment is all I needed. And, look at you all BOSS at the hardware store! AWESOME! I'm so VERY proud of you, impressed with you and happy for you. RESPECT!
This is absolutely the best video by far in explaining how to repair. a Delta faucet This is beyond excellent!!!! Your method of explaining and great camera work is incredible.
This is an excellent demonstration video. The maker uses clear, precise instructions as she demonstrates the step. I thank you for this much needed video.
Jim Weaver, your video was fantastic, been fixing this kitchen faucet for about 15 years and never knew there were O rings under the head...slid it off added new O rings, and not leaking at the moment... pretty sure that was what was giving me all the grief ...
Yes, my single handle faucet continues to drip after you try to turn off the water. Thank you for that vivid illustration. I think I have just been empowered with the knowledge to take on that job. Thank you so much.
Another success story here! Thank you for your video with clear and easy to follow instructions. No fluff and straight to the point. I did a whole disassembly of my Delta faucet, cleaned and greased everything, and it turns out I didn't need to replace any parts. Just had to tighten the top crown.
Excellent video! Very straightforward, comprehensive, and straight to the point. Now I feel empowered to do this job myself without needing to call a plumber. Off to the hardware store I go!
Thank you very much for an excellent tutorial on how to fix my leaky faucet! My husband said it would be too difficult than I saw your video and said if she can do it, so can you! Lol! I have sent him this video so he can watch it And then hopefully fix my leaky faucet, if not well, at least I know how to do it myself! Love your channel!
Hello! Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I appreciate that--truly. I'm confident both you and your husband can fix the faucet. You'll save so much money and learn so much, too. It's a fun project. ;)
I can't praise this excellent video enough - it made repairing my faucet so easy! Thank you so much for taking the time to make such a helpful guide! This gets a big 👍!!!
This video was at the perfect pace for me to fix my single lever faucet in my rv. Thank you for being so clear and using the correct terms for all those parts I was calling “thingies”…(black cap thingie, white plastic thingie with notch on left side…LOL). I’m a fan!
This how i make my videos. Step by step explain and straight to the point. Thank keep making more videos. Most other videos tell a whole story before showing you how to fix the item.
Thank you so much!! Your instructions were EXACTLY what I needed to fix my Price-Fister FWK1140c kitchen faucet!!! Every tip that you mentioned was "right on the money" (I hate using "spot on"). I tried doing things out of sequence and failed. I followed your video and everything came out PERFECT!! Thank you again!!
Many thanks for this video, I got my faucet working better than it ever has before. That silicone grease made it so easy to turn on I accidentally slam it open cause I am used to the tension it used to take to open it.
Thank you so much for this video. It was so easy to understand and follow. For the first time doing plumbing on a sink, I did it and it stopped the leak! And I used the silicone grease and now the faucet easily moved smoothly back and forth. Actually, it's a little too easy now, compared to what it did before. I'll just have to adjust for it.
Best video for this repair I've seen yet.👍 But for whatever reason, I Cannot get the seats & springs to seat. Been working with the both sides for over 2 days, meaning running outside turning water on only for a few minutes at a time because since they're not seated, now instead of the dripping faucet that I started with, I now have a running one. I've tried pressing with my fingers, and with various rounded ends of different tools. Even with the ball itself (Wondered why I didn't think of that long ago🙄. And was sure that would work👍😁. NOT). I've even tried, while pressing down, using the point of a steak knife, 'wedging it in' all around... Would just replace the whole faucet, but 'things' underneath the sink are so old and corroded 😳... I don't want to go from almost psycho to absolute madness (Undersink leak?!? Under house leak?!?!?! Just bury me now ⚰). Any advice, anyone??? And to those of you with 'funny bones'🙄, please don't suggest a plumber. Not unless you're paying. Added-- Oh. I also tried a different set of seats and springs.
LOL, Carol! That nonsense bothers me too. It's a bunch of time wasting for the sake of making videos longer than they need to be so the "content creator" can more money. SMH
@@frugaldiy1 I will say SPECIAL THANKS to you saving lot of my money. Before watching your video I called plumber to replace whole tap but he wasn't available. I WATCHED YOUR VIDEO, yesterday I ordered cartridge on amazon priority delivery, today REPLACED it myself. And JOB IS DONE.

Great, simple video! 👏 can someone please advise? Mine is a very similar Delta single lever faucet. It was dripping out of the spout. Disassembly and replacement of seat and springs went great. Cleaned, greased and reassembled. Lever was so smooth. Leak at spout stopped but now it's slowly seeping out of the base and theres NO HOT WATER! What the heck?? Yes main water shut off is back on and cold and hot shut off valves are back on. Thanks in advance 🙂
Very thorough steps, thank you, I followed your instructions and replaced the o rings on my delta single handle kitchen faucet, but it still leaks, the leak is from the top of the spout body, any idea?
We were so excited when we first found this video. Sadly, the hot water shut-off valve will not turn. Even worse, the set screw will not turn. Do you have videos or suggestions on what to do?
My set screw is also stuck! It doesn't look corroded at all tho. I've sprayed it with WD-40, no luck. Tonite I'm gonna wrap it up with a vinegar soaked sponge and let it sit overnight. How did you ever get yours unstuck? Sheesh... I've fixed every sink in our house through the years and have never had this to happen!
@ We finally got it to turn by juggling it around. But it was so hard to turn, we had to hire someone. We had almost every valve replaced. Then we learned the old valves were brass. I think it has something to do with hot water deposits. The cold water valve turned perfectly and was easy to move. We didn’t have to replace that one. There has to be a way to retain those. Anyway, let me know if the vinegar does the trick.
Thank you, Nigel, for taking the time to write such a wonderful comment. It means a lot to me--truly. And, certainly, you're most welcome. Happy DIYing!
Great tutorial, but I have no idea how to identify what brand and model my faucet is in order to purchase seats and springs. Guess I'll have to buy a whole new faucet.
Hi. I have a similar faucet plate and I had to tighten the undercounter bolt for the faucet to stop wiggling but I would like to glue-caulk the plate to the sink. What kind of product should I use ? Silicone ? Thanks.
Absolutely. Really appreciate the video. Lots of knowledge in there like the names of parts and what to replace for certain issues. One of the best videos I've seen as it pertains to diy. Thank you
The best video I watched: Keep words simple and clear and just say important and related sentences.
I appreciate your thoughtful comment--truly. Thank you.
Exactly. Its so hard to find videos where they just get to the point instead of giving a five minute introduction and back story
