What are things you have done to make your iPad Pro experience better?
I bought a bluetooth keyboard and usb c hub to make my iPad Pro seem more like a computer. Using it with a monitor has been really cool, minus how it doesn't utilize the whole screen. Applications like Affinity Photo and Designer, Lightroom, and LumaFusion have definitely been a huge plus to have because of the power it has. Hopefully more PRO apps come to the iPad Pro
Jailbreak
I bought a desktop computer
Even though I appreciate your honest approach regarding your lack of graphic design skills, the Ipad Pro can be a very powerful tool for an artist and the ability to easily organize, share, remotely store and edit your graphic files would be a nice addition to this list. Thanks for the tips.
Trackpad and monitor on desk, folio, hub& ssd on the go!!
Absolutely LOVED the video. I’ve watched hundreds of iPad related videos and this is the first time I’ve actually learned something new. Great content!!!
Thanks so much - what a helpful video! After years with a 16 GB iPad (9.5 inches), I just stepped up to a brand new 256GB 2018 iPad Pro (11 inch), and this is one of the best resources I’ve found while crawling the web. I learned so much from your video - it’s informative, thorough, and very well paced. Will check out the links and your other vids, too.
Love the tutorials especially the icons one that I get to add on home screen. Thanks
Appreciate this video man! Well done dude. Gonna check out that Sabrent Nano drive 🙌🏼
Thanks dude, it was a really fun video to make. Yeah, the Sabrent Drive is straight 🔥. That with a little dual lock Velcro and you can fasten it to your MacBook or iPad.
Ordered my IPad pro today Johnathan thanks for the great content ill use some of these tips thanks
I just ordered an iPad Pro 12.9 inch and magic keyboard. Your video really helped me. Just wanted to say thank you as I prepare for the experience, I’ll have great tips.
How’s the experience so far? I just ordered mine and I’m planning on keeping it as my main pc.
I ordered an iPad 12.9-inch Pro today. Of all the channels I've watched today so I can get ahead of the learning curve yours was by far the best. Thank you for your help!
Dude, the way you show iPad screen recordings on an iPad sitting on a desk looks so good. The best method I’ve ever seen. Very well made video my friend
This is actually the great youtube starter, I don’t think I’ll ever need to buy a MacBook Pro 16” insane
Your content is amazing, and the way you provide the information is so interesting! Keep it going
While I use my iPad for most of my daily tasks, there are 2 reasons why I can't make it my only computer:
1. The file system is better, but not great
2. The Microsoft Office suite is very limited on the iPad. I can get tasks done, but it's limited
Yeah I can agree with these 2 things. This is why I think it’s important to have a desktop of some sort if the iPad is going to become a laptop replacement for travel.
I can deal with the Files app, but Microsoft Office being stripped down is the ONE reason I can't make my iPad a laptop replacement. When I need to make modifications in or between classes, I need the full version.
How about transitioning to Google Docs?
@@mohshahud I personally took a whole class over Office applications so I much prefer using Office knowing how to navigate it so well.
How about numbers, pages? Is it limited on iPad or does it have all features as MacBook.
Love the in depth information especially with file management and editing. Helps me decide what storage size I should get
Glad you enjoyed!
Nicely done on the turning webpages into app icons on screen. I sort of knew about it but totally forgot to use it. Thanks for the reminding. Oh ya, I switched to my iPad pro since 2018 and never looked back since. However, i still keep my 27” iMac for the big screen and my photo scanner.
Thanks for guiding me to the hardware keyboard options in settings! This solved one of my biggest issues which was using US International-PC keyboard settings so I can type in accents in my preferred method using punctuation instead of command+ options.
Intro, presentations, and info are on point.
Super great video bro! just saw this on my reccomendations, liked and subscribed! Really quality content! keep it up!
It's crazy no one had already made vids about some of these things. Legit cool stuff here.
Amazing info thank you! Very informative. Looking to buy me first ipad soon.
Just decided to make the switch over to using iPad Pro. I’ve gotta say this is the best guide out there for getting the most efficiency. Good stuff big dawg
Glad it helped! Much appreciated
This was awesome! I have 2 iPad Pro’s with 2017 edition. And I am really considering the iPad Pro 12.9 2020. I use only iPads as my daily drivers, they absolutely replaced my computer. So this was very informative. Thank you!
Love this. Thanks 🙏🏻
Not often I learn something new. But you actually had some very good tips. Thanks
Appreciate ya! I’m glad I could help.
Great video, sir. Not too long and all of the information is useful. Your commentary was well planned and the video editing is well done.
Thank you so much for this! I bought a 2020 Pro when we went to full time distance learning, to help me create videos for my students as an elementary art teacher. I was considering buying a new laptop, but your video is so helpful and I will be getting some of the products you suggested as I don't want to spend more money if I can just give my iPad laptop functionality! Thank you thank you thank you!!
Awesomely useful video - the section on changing the logo for a web app - thank you !
So I recently purchased got 2018 iPad Pro I’m looking forward to getting to get into the ins and out of it.
I just picked up the iPad Pro 2020 edition with the magic keyboard, Apple Pencil and AirPod pros! So excited
Enjoying the iPad more lately but that battery drain is killing me on that keyboard case!
Yeah, I've noticed it too. Hopefully, they can do something through software updates to fix it.
Be careful. You'll be banned from the internet for telling the truth about Apple products...
Question on the battery drain. Maybe it’s the lights on the Keyboard? Maybe turn off lights on keyboard during day or until you actually need them?
WatchReport.com no unfortunately it’s not the light it’s a software balancing problem
This is why I prefer the Logitech keyboards. But they don’t have a touchpad version yet for the 12.9, only for the 11”
Great video. You had a good fix for things other you tubers had complaints about too.
Thank you sir, I appreciate that
A couple months ago I purchased the normal Ipad, and I am impressed that i've been using it more than my computer. I'm really thinking about upgrading to the Ipad Pro
So im a Android Guy and bought the Ipad Pro 2020 but it never will replace my windows Laptop and Desktop Completely.
Great Video 👍
Strong video brotha, good watch. Don’t leave home without my pro!
Awesome tips man especially the one to make customer logos for websites saved to the iPad. I really want to transition to an IPad Pro but having trouble finding a 2018 12.9. Thank you for sharing
The Logitech Slim Folio Pro should be mentioned too. I prefer it over the Brydge & Apple iPad Keyboard because 1) it gives corner protection for your iPad, 2) it has function keys also, and 3) it has a little slot where you can store your Apple Pencil, so you don’t have to worry about it falling off the magnetic part of your iPad.
There’s not a lot of cons with it other than it MAY be slightly bulkier than the other two listed in the video, but I’d prefer robust & functional. There’s also no touchpad, but this keyboard was released before Mac OS was released, but til now it is the best case in my opinion.
I’ll check it out!
Thank you for your recommendation. 🙏🌟🙏☺️
Great video!😊
Great Tips 👍
You know what.. I DO love my iPad as much as you love your iPad. I WILL like.. and will subscribe! Thanks!
🥰
Great video, full of useful info as always. I really love the web app thing that you mentioned, might come in handy.
PS:- For some reason, I got unsubscribed to your channel but now i am back. Keep up the good work.
Haha no worries as long as your back now! Thanks bro!
Looking forward to getting my iPad Pro. With its power and versatility, it's really like having a smartphone and laptop combined in a cohesive unit. I remember using my iMac recently and while performing certain tasks wishing I was on my phone because of the intuitive touch nature that we've grown accustomed to using.
0 versatility
Excellent video.
New subscriber here! I liked your video - very clear, not gimmicky, and I liked how you got to your first point right away after your introduction... "buy a keyboard" - I just did last night and as soon as I heard your comment I clicked Like. Then I watched the whole video and I'm ready for more videos on your channel and will be going through your past ones too! Thank you for the clear, concise, and informative opinions!
Thanks for the sub! I appreciate all of those kind works dude, it helps with the motivation to make more videos haha
Great video dude, I just picked up my Ipad Pro 2020 12.9 and love it, I use Capture One for all my photo editing and I suppose I would have to go back to LR, not to keen on that, but may bite the bullet.
Sat in Portugal . Waiting for me at home in the UK is a 2020 11" iPad Pro 256GB. Really enjoyed your presentation. Pitched just right for me re what to make a "MacBook" out of it. Subscribed as a result. Will use to edit my drone footage mainly. Coming at this as a complete novice, good job I'm retired and got the time for the learning curve involved. Just got to get home and started
I still use the 10.5 model. For all I use it for it’s still perfect. A lot better than carrying around a laptop
This video is underrated!!!
Great video!! Keep up the great work 👍🏾
Thank you 🙏 I hope you’re doing well BTW!
Jonathan Casey All is well! Hope things are going well on your end too.
At last! An IPad video that’s useful
I am for the iPad to have more and more Laptop hardware and Desktop OS functionality and abilities, but at the same time I do not want to see any sacrifices made to the *portrait* tablet part of the iPad which is what made the iPad so great in the first place.
The iPad is simply the most modular Apple device ever. (and my personal favorite)
The magic keyboard which I’m using to type out this comment has definitely increased my love and usage of my 201812.9” iPad Pro by 100% trackpad gestures and the keyboard has truly changed and redefined this device for me a fan and user of the MacBook Pro for over three decades I may never buy or even consider buying a laptop ever again this magic keyboard has truly made the iPad Pro a game changer
What really got me a laptop feel was putting all apps in the dock (or in folders in the dock) instead of the homescreen - that way multitasking is easier and it feels like the dock on Mac
Omg thank you so much for the modifier keys thing for esc shortcut. I just wish i could turn the tilde key into esc, because i really don’t use it as much as the globe key and it’s right there, but I’ll just have to sacrifice globe for the escape cause!
I love the file management is all I can say as a long time iPad user I am so impressed with this new iOS iPad version. Yes if your a Mac wizard it’s different but personally I think the power in this product is it portability and always on . I can’t afford a pro but the iPad is great for me emails PDF files filled in writing with Apple Pencil files stored and cloud storage accessible from files too much it’s a great show keep it up. Great video thanks for the tips
I thinking of just buying a new Ipad so I can travel with it and still do laptop function without having to carry around my Macbook. I will definitely try and see how I like operating fully on the new Ipad. Will save me alot of trouble flying and not having to unload all my electronics.
Thanks for the video
Wow great video ..,& great tips .. was thinking of getting a apple laptop .. but got this instead ..! I just picked mine up today .. with pencil ✏️ & Magic pad .. updating to iOS 14 & backing up ! Can wait to explore & learn thx 👍
Other than that bro, your content is great and I clicked the like button.
Johnathan, great video. Definitely learned a few things that is going to help me out. Just ordered the iPad Pro 11 2020 yesterday. Been using LumaFusion on my older regular iPad, but definitely looking forward to the upgrade.
Will 11 Inc be enough for Lumafusion on editing videos ??
Englication Tutorials it is for me. If I need something larger I can just plug it in to my monitors or 4K tv
@@djdavidbraz the best solution... thanks
Great video
Quality content 👌🙌
New subscriber. Loved the video, thanks. My iPad Pro 2020 with Magic Keyboard arrives on my birthday, July 1st. Can’t wait! Can you recommend any Magic Keyboard compatible cases/protection?
Thank you for this! I’m new to utilizing Motion Array. How do you import transitions/presets into LumaFusion?
I don’t have an iPad Pro, but I I do have is the 2018 iPad (the cheapest one) it’s close to 2 years old by now and I still use it. I mainly use it on my language class to take notes using notability, I’ve also used my iPad as a video editing tool for my school projects, I’ve also use my iPad to draw or design something using procreate, it’s held up well and I love it so much!
What would you expect. It's iPad. Android tablets esp amoled ones probably have screen burn ins or color shifts and degraded colors or brightness by now...messy and many bugs and no support.
Great video. Hopefully you'll have over 100k subscribers soon. Very professional content
Thank you boss man, I appreciate that. 100k is a huge milestone to me. I’ve struggled with growth for a few years now but thanks to people like you I’ve finally found my stride.
I love this video
yo ngl this is a really good vid. how to transform your ipad to a laptop
I have one and I love it sooo much bro 😎
Great video! So much crammed in and some tips I didn’t know about, so thanks for that.
I wondered, you made mention of the Motion Array site and your walkthrough to use it? Do you have a link to that video or am I missing something here?
Looking forward to seeing what Apple announce at WWDC next month! Fingers crossed for Files and iPadOS tweaks and updates....
Thank you so much for the kind words. Unfortunately, I do not have a walkthrough just MA just yet. I was putting it out there to see if there is an interests for a video editing walkthrough using motion array. I can definitely fit a video like that into my schedule though👍
Jonathan Casey Hi! Thanks for replying. No problem, it was more just an idea of how to sign up to get the assets you mentioned on Motion Array rather than a full video editing walk through? I presume you just sign up? It seems to cost a $29.99 fee to download any plugins etc which I can’t afford right now...
Great video! The biggest downside to the new Brydge keyboard is that the trackpad doesn't support all the gestured the magic keyboard one does.
I didn’t know that! Hopefully, I’ll be getting one in to check out and compare.
The Logitech one on the apple website does, and it's $160!
Yeah it was just released. Looks awesome!
Such great info thank you! Does screens app require a fast internet connection.
Not crazy fast but any means but it needs to be pretty consistent
Bro I literally paused the video and liked it. Attitude is key
I hate the weight of the magic keyboard! I got the smart folio and a Magic Trackpad! Love the combination: light and much bigger trackpad!!
Great video. I currently use iPad pro 11 with magic keyboard and Apple pencil. Not looking for Bluetooth mouse.
I might get on this year but I’m still doing my research so I can make the best decision because it’s expensive
Also look at second hand. Makes purchasing much easier
I love my iPad Pro too 12.9 3gen is amazing
We don't need to like our ipod to like you videos you are always champion at the content
Haha thanks! 💪
Epic, I subscribed
Just subscribed. That's was dope.
Thanks for the sub! Appreciate you!!
Is there a dongle that you use with the MacBook and the iPad that you recommend?
You are a good business man
Hey Jonathan!
I recently got the Magic Keyboard for my 12.9 inch iPad Pro, and couldn’t help but notice how easily dust and debris generates in the cracks of the keys, did it ever affect the functionality of the keyboard or the typing experience? A reply would be much appreciated.
I love my ipad pro 2018 12.9” too, I use office 365, I have a Kanex adapter, I bought a logitech cheap keyboard to get more function keys, I use a multimedia iklip studio stand and my apple pencil and that’s it, i don’t need a laptop anymore, just for some small special tasks some times, and again, I love the portability of my ipad.
Great tips, the thing is..... I dont have an ipad pro or even an ipad 😪
Powerful 💥 video ⚡️⚡️⚡️
USB C dongle and the magic keyboard. Boom, video done.
Hey Jo, thanks for the great video! I'm considering to try the ipad pro for my main driver too. I wanna use it mainly for office works (docs, sheets, slides) aside from the obvious browsing, gaming and music. How do you feel about that? Will there be any limitations for ipad pro for those?
You mean Microsoft office? You can use Microsoft office on the iPad, but it’s limited. I’m not sure if it’s a compatibility issue or Apple just wants you using their productivity apps instead.
@@watchreport how is microsoft office limited on the ipad? thinking of switching from PC to ipad
Amazing casual intro
I love my ipad pro 2020. It has magic keyboard and matching space grey magic mouse.
I bought the bridge keyboard, and it was terrible. The rubber padding where the iPad goes in, started ungluing immediately, great review !
Iam waiting for ipad air 4 and i hope it's enough for video and photo editing and maybe some drawing and these art staff
I got an 11” iPad Pro in late 2018. And I love it. Made the jump from MacBook Pro to iPad Pro as my MacBook sorta died. Lol.
I bought a keyboard that turns it into a laptop and while it doesn’t have a trackpad, it does let you rotate the screen to keep it tablet like and then I can easily draw with procreate etc. I love that keyboard, it was like $60 on Amazon. I’d def buy it again.
I am new to editing video and stuff and find the lack of storage quite frustrating. I did buy a Samsung T7 and that is working just fine. I just figured out how to bring videos back from the T7 to edit in iMovie or whatever. I definitely find iMovie frustrating in many ways. I am still hoping for an iMac soon, even tho I can do most things on my iPad.
I went with the IPad Air, it has professional power but I don’t need as much as the iPad Pro since I have to have a MacBook as a photographer. However I do agree that a keyboard makes your iPad a lot more effective, especially since you can now use the full screen
Should I upgrade from the IPad Pro 10.5 2017 to the iPad Pro 2020 or should I wait?
Also the video looks insane
I got a 2018 iPad Pro 12.9” and my keyboard case is combing tomorrow 😁 so- I’ve had it for a month and I’m just now getting a keyboard lol but it’s better then never
Haha enjoy it!
Love ❤️ this topic please make more videos. Would love to make my tablet a PC replacement.
You should try to do a version of this where all the accessories are under $50. Might be interesting to see what someone on a budget could do with the iPad
SavannasauR if youre on a budget you wouldnt get an ipad
@@safwansameer7847 that's not true at all dude. Payments on an ipad are like $35. For someone on a budget that needs a laptop for work or school, that can definitely fall within a budget easily. Everyone's situation is different and honestly most people in this country (US) are making next to nothing for a paycheck and that's just the reality. Yet people still have iphones. iPads. Etc. And sometimes it's a need and not a want. Especially for someone that needs something like this for work or school like I said. You can be poor and on a budget and still have an iPad. I'm glad you're so privileged to be able to make comments like that. You might need a wake up call.
You using the Panasonic S1H and 24-70 2.8? What do you think of that combo?
to be honest,awesome video!U are so sweet❤️👏👏👏
as someone who has always stayed away from Apple products i have to say that they almost baited me on this one. Almost. As soon as the MS Office support becomes more professional and support for "heavier" programs (like CAD and more professional Music production programs other than Garage Band) i will jump right into the iPad Pro world...cuz other than these 2 arguments i just mentioned, this thing is near perfection...and i never thought i would say this about an Apple product...well i guess the iPod was near perfection as well in its days...
Agreed! Haha
I love the iPad
