I've been in the towing industry for more than fifty years. Gerry is right. The recovery industry is a passion. If you don't have that passion, you won't last long. Your time is never truly your own and whether it's 3 in the afternoon or 3 in the morning, you have to hit the ground running because no two jobs are the same and you can't just muddle through. God has blessed meand I have always loved it. My son on the other hand got tired of the quirks quickly so there, unfortunately, be no second generation but inspite of the fact that my wife says I should retire, I'm trying to hang in there, for a couple years longer, God willing and the creeks don't rise. Great video.
How did I miss this video? That was great, Gerry is a true gentleman that also loves his trucks. This video is in my top 5 favorites from your channel. Thanks.
Hey Boston trucker I’ve been waiting for this vid, being from this area I drive bye George’s daily always slowing down to see what he has parked in yard and slowing for the railroad tracks ,really enjoyed this one thanks great video always great content
It's really nice these business owners take the time to show you around...the way everyone is in a hurry nowadays...shame that old stuff is disappearing
George's Garage is the best of the best. Have known the Hatches for years and let me tell you they are top notch people and business. Always ready to help someone out. Can't speak highly of them enough.
This is the very best video I have seen in years, This man is a great historian and he loves his job. But what really makes him great he loves PETERBILT TRUCKS. Keep up the good work Mike, and we will see in Louisville KY.
Great job Mike! I love to see the old family values still in a business, kudos to Georges Garage family. As a Mack fan , I saw the Mack mirrors on the International hook lift! Keep on Truckin
Great, great, video. I'm a member of the 583 club out of Brockton. My dad was a member of the towing association, Coe's Mobil. Love the history behind George's Garage, the trucks, and the Moccasin Factory. Love Pete's so much I am now working for TLG Peterbilt in Raleigh. Old school is the only way, thanks Mike and Gerry.
Super nice interview Mike. You get better every time. So nice to see normal hard working people. Love that they were not ( show boaters ) . Very humble guy . Listening tonight allows me to forget about the rest of the world and remember good old days. Thank you .
What a great video Mike What a great place George's garage the knowledge of you and gerry talking brings back memories of all of your video thanks for your sharing this ron rdzl
Wow! Gerry has a yard full of treasures. Beautiful wreckers too.I drove a B Model Mack with spring loaded Fontaine slider locks. Common before air slides. Great video Mike, thanks.
This was an awesome one Mike!! Gerry and team seem like a top notch company!! "love it , or not be in it". - That quote is GOLDEN GERRRYYYY!!! Not many R's in this one, the Boston accent is strronnggggggg!!!!
Another home run by The Boston Trucker. What a look inside the real way of tow life. These guys get it. As said in the episode it’s not always about the money it’s about a brotherhood, taking care of the ones who need you the most.
Great interview, family roots run deep. Showing how old world values still stand up today. Anyone can order a new truck or buy a used one but custom building it so suit your needs is rare today.
@@TheBostonTrucker You could be having a bad and a Call from Gerry or him coming into the shop towing something in will change it all and have you laughing or just passing him on the highway we call each other and bust each other’s chops lol great video Mike I’m so glad you guys got to meet up finally.
Great video Mike , what a cool place , I've drove by there a few times over the years when picking up paver stones / bricks at Fosters Northeast just down the street , loved the little White , old 359 , and what's not to love on the K100 , again thank you for taking the time and Safe Travels 👍👍👍👍
Great history lesson. a lot of engineering thought is needed for heavy recovery. It would be a great place to work just for the knowledge you would gain.

Hey Mike…which towing company took the trash truck out of your trailer back in the day?
That's a very good question. I have some pictures somewhere but I think I was taken away by ambulance before tow arrived.
I want a tow truck just because I want to buy junk cars. The Rollback I learned on was a lime GREEN cat powered peterbilt 330 then painted boring white :( Now they all cost wayyyy too much
