Mike. A couple videos ago you said you don't change to wash your truck. To me that's a true blue old school trucker. You keep your truck looking fantastic because it speaks volumes of your work ethic. Over my trucking career it never mattered who's name was on the door , that truck I was driving was a reflection of me and I drove and took care of it as it was my own.. Have a great weekend.
When I had my truck, I didn’t have everything first slowly got it over time. I always kept it clean as I could. Then ended up having to self my truck so my wife could have a vehicle. I miss trucking, I would love to get back into it, but it just wasn’t enough dough for me, so I moved on. I will have my semi back when I retire and will travel the country again lol
Another great video! Loved watching the loader leaving the school yard, and it made me wonder just how many young kids sitting in those classrooms were watching you pull out with all that iron and wishing they were in your shoes....... Just like I had done 35 years ago lol 😁
Good evening Mike! When you were talking about leaving the truck dirty over the weekend. I thought, there ain’t no way! You would have been a mess all weekend. You washed it! My imagine of you is still intact! Thank you! Hope you have a great time with your son on his B-day!
I'm happy I washed it unfortunately it'll be dirty as soon as I leave the yard but that's how this business goes, I know you know. I can't believe he's only 10 minutes away from being 18.🙈
Been using Shell Rotella since1980-1981 then was 30W . Race engines everything then15-40 this was real good . Analysis of oil is great flash point at almost 600 F . Perfect for the heat . Competition or any heavy work even in my Mercedes . 4.2 gas engine . 15/40 is what Mercedes says , this is what I run . Great to see Shell promoting Rotella . Just passing on how well this has worked for me .
"A dirty truck is a hard working truck"...My biggest fight with winter weather is keeping my windows, and mirrors clean, It's a never ending battle. The company I drive for allows us to get a wash at the Blue Beacon once a month, however the only time I get by a Blue Beacon, the line is extremely long, or I don't have time on my clock to make the stop, so I usually get a lot of "free nature" truck rinses. I run Upsate NY, and Northern Pennsylvania, I use to run out your way frequently, but haven't been out there in a while. Video greatness as always, stay warm, stay safe, and have a great week.
@TheBostonTrucker I have a spray bottle with windshield washer fluid, and a squeegee, it works pretty good when the temperature dip below freezing. I use it 3 or 4 times a day.
You are indeed in the trenches this month with so much snow, sleet, rain and all the other road mess out there. Manual truck will all ways be the number one. People need to get used to it starting out then when they get more experience or time they can pick from automatic but Keep that the manual transmission alive. One thing you have to be happy is that mother nature comes around with rain to help clean off the road and your truck. Its a great day all around. That is how I felt when it rain all Thursday morning.
I love your new truck and the idea of the paainted tanks is going to be unique. I also think the trucks needs a couple strobe lights. And im happy for you.
The chain setup I use ,by mytee also, I use traditional binders, but short 5' grade 80 chain with a grab hook on one nd,and a large slip hook on the other. Short chains save time, and storage space. I also use one of the chains to pin up my middle axle on the lowbed, to shorten the turning radius of the tight areas I go. Gloucester for instance. Also to save tire, and brake ware. I don't know if you heard. The Gear Hammer show is at my second home.,New England Dragway in July. Lets see your ride run down the 1/4 mile.
O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Happy New Year…2024! And congratulations on your son’s 18th! WOW! I’ve been there as well. I don’t mind getting my truck dirty, well, not too much, but I sure do like to take time to clean them up at the end of the week. All that mud almost makes you not want to get out too much, huh? Thanks for showing the tire repair/replacement. That’s not something you get to see often. So will your new truck get the fancy striping as well? What do they call that? How long until you get the new truck? Do you break them in a bit before you work them? Not sure if we will make the MATS this year or not. I just haven’t thought about it yet. Blessings! 🥰🤩✌️

FSC Trucking uses rubber bungee cords to hold the excess chain, in australia I have the buckets the chain come in and cut a square hole in the lid so I can feed the excess chain into the bucket and cable tie it to the binder with the bucket handle as the chains I use are 8/9/10m long
I think it's an ol wives tale putting the rag in the tail pipe. Just skid steers and minis, but I've been transporting for 25 years, and I've never had a problem loading them backyards. Anyway, not meant to be ball busty. Your truck looked a lot cleaner than mine got this week. Tough week.

He’s a good guy, never complained when things didn’t work out. I’ve been in the trucking, tire, tire repair, tire changer business for a few days! I’m still learning everyday! Just can’t wait to see the new truck go down the road with a load! Thanks!
One piece of advice Mike that I've noticed with my truck with the Cummins motor don't let the truck idle excessively from what I've done and it's worked for 180,000 miles is I bumped the idle up every time I get out of the truck and my truck is one out of four trucks with no DPF issues

Glad to see things are going well and looking forward to your new truck. I don't know if you'll remember me but I fixed your boiler one night during or after a snow storm. Big long haired kid, must have been 6 or 7 years ago. I was working for T.H. M at the time.
