When I was a kid I told my teacher I wanted to be a weatherman when I grew up. She asked why and I said "where else can ya be wrong 80% of the time and still keep your job"??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
10:15 - My reason is that I once left my wheels cut to the right after tucking myself in close to an old flatbed trailer by the entrance. The next morning, I eased the clutch out and instantly stuffed the fender right into that flatbed side-rail... Never forgot that lesson!
It gets better and better. Cross our fingers that this week is better with less breaking and more positive truck keeping together and not in the shop. Its great you have awesome mechanics at your shop. They show pride in working on the trucks. weather man only predicts weather. If they say its going to snow strom tomorrow or 2ft of snow you getting ready all the plows but at that next day it only snow 2 inches.. Thanks weatherman.. I remember block buster snow storm they said to buried NYC with 2+ ft of snow but long island get most of it 2-3ft of snow. So..I look at the radar map, you have better chance seeing if it will rain or not. Store trip.
I seriously think you are getting ALL of the rain for the entire country there Mike. That was a crap-ton of water!😂 “But he’s funny like that…” “Funny how? Funny Ha Haa? Or just funny”😎 I sure don’t miss city driving like that anymore. Most four-wheelers out here cut us plenty of room when they see us coming down the road.
It was an absolute honor and privilege to finally meet you in person sir. I love all your content. Keep up the phenomenal work, Keep the dirty side down driver... Bless up
That's kind of how the season went where I work slowed down and ended July to September and now it's been pretty busy I like it when it stays busy because when it's slow that means I'm working on stuff and I'm tired of getting greasy have a great weekend man peace and grease I love it
You park with your wheels straight because it's good trucker educate. Also turning your wipers off when parked and fueling so they don't squeak get hot and leave black marks on the window 🤣🤣 the mechanic did a great job, he knows how to fix things to get the truck moving and making money.
2023 is the last year Peterbilt is making the 389. Your boss should let you spec out a custom Boston Trucker “large car edition” …one with (3) pedals of course👌🏼 ~🇺🇸💪🏼☮️~
Yup. My trailer marker lights went out in May. They only agreed to look at it last Friday. No promise they'll be fixed this week though, but they're at least LOOKING at them...
Same here.....one of our drivers told the boss he needed brake job time and time again.....last time he told boss, boss said, try not to use them any more than you have to.....🙄🙄
Where is your air going? Shouldn't be dead overnight. The wire repair is good enough. Crimp with hot snot lined terminals. Personally I use non insulated crimps, and clear hot snot lined heat shrink. I can always see the status of the repair.
Yes sir. Got to have those front Wheels straight. And always do a post trip. If a tire is flat in the morning it was on its way to being flat the night before
Hey Mike, did u watch the videos out of Europe where those ECOWHACKOS we're running around drilling holes in sidewalls of semi tires "for the environment"?? Boy are they insane? I don't think they realize the expense of replacing those tires plus where do they think the carcasses end up?
@@TheBostonTrucker Feel u, and wiping the lenses quickly usually only makes it worse. Btw. I like your playlists on Spotify. I often listen to them while driving trucks at work 👍
One thing about a paccar .. they have no problem turning these trucks into a spaceship with all computerized garbage , but they still can’t figure out a sensible cup holder or windshield wipers. It’s been the same stupid design for 30 yrs
There used to be a good cab shop in Carlisle across from Keen trucking but that was over 10 years ago. I bought a Stryker 490 and had my DX 99 tuned so next time you go to Carlisle give a shout if anyone has a cb anymore 🤷♂️

Did I read 898,000 miles on the Speedo?. Simply impressive, credit to you👍
I thought it said 98000 lol
My grandpa called it loam but other than him I almost always heard it called top soil. 😀😀😀😀
That's awesome!
Another great video. Looks like u need a new clutch peddle rubber. Nice clean shiny truck and trailer. Keep up the great work and video's.

You're right on the money as usual.
Mike in Australia our tippers leave the body's up when it's raining overnight
I do to when I remember. 🤷
Haha another great video !
Thank you

You really make me question my life choices. Your day looks awesomely fun!!!!
Haha don't believe everything you see on social media.

I second that. Boss should definitely let you spec-out the new '23 rig
I like the way you think.
I agree but I'd prefer a pre emissions truck.
When you put those front tires on step and hold the brake till he gets a couple of lugs tight this centers the drum and keeps the wheels centered
I agree Mike the weather men out here in Oklahoma can't seem to get it right either, great video👍👍
It's unreal.
You’re fortunate to work for a company that fixes equipment. Most places I’ve worked if it starts, runs, and stops , then it hits the road.
Yup. My trailer marker lights went out in May. They only agreed to look at it last Friday. No promise they'll be fixed this week though, but they're at least LOOKING at them...

I want a shell rotella tire Thumpaaa. I run Shell Rotella in my gas truck. It likes it. Its low RPM.. Its an old chevy
They sent it to me.
Don't worry Mike it will be lume for me too. Had to learn what the dooryard was too. My best friend is a Mainer
What is a dooryard?
We are cut from the same cloth Mike....lol, love your videos my brother! Yes we do call it top soil lol!!
You have come along way since the green bark truck thanks
Thank you so much.
Actually we call it dirt where I'm from 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow never heard of that 🤷
@@TheBostonTrucker yep our dirt here is black in color so it's either dirt or black dirt whichever you prefer. 🤷♂️😁
You didn't straighten them steers out when you parked Friday!!! Hahahaha, have a great weekend driva!
🤷😳🤣
When Amy and I go to Bangor Maine this next summer, planning on stopping in and visiting

Thank you for the tips.
Good stuff Mike
Try this, release all your brakes with the air built up 🆙 and hard pump your brakes 4 times that should do it if you have good slack adjusters
I get a kick out of you explaining what loam is. Now go get your shine box 😅
Ola,👍💪🏻🙏🇺🇸🇫🇷
You really are a funny guy!
Not on purpose. 🤷
Yes sir. Got to have those front Wheels straight. And always do a post trip. If a tire is flat in the morning it was on its way to being flat the night before
they can screw up the weather and still get payed but you still have to work in it but your truck still looks clean great job on the video's
Yes exactly my point 😊
You always have clean trucks !
