  • So I made a custom knife and leather knife sheath for my 86 year old grandfather, I share some hollow grinding techniques with Jason and have lots of laughs with Daniel from Virginia.
I hope you enjoy watching what my day to day looks like and leave me a comment with anything I can help you with. Regards Terrick

This is the best of your videos I have seen yet. Thank you for being so generous with the knowledge you have earned by hard work. Your pattern knife is a thing of beauty.

Great video, especially teaching your young neighbor. If I may give a suggestion, using a respirator might be a good idea, or even having a dedicated grinding room. Alec Steele talks about this. Cheers.

Terrick, I said it before and say it again. I like your videos.
I make knives and small leather goods. Right now for me it is a “hobby“ from a business perspective. Of course my goal is to make my knives as perfect as possible and also in a somehow effective way. Do I want to run it as a business? Right now no. It balances my day to day job. If I need to do it as a business I might hate it.
I like that you have the neighbours boy make a knife in your shop. I did this with a firends son some years ago and it was fun but also a challenge.
    Keep on going

Thanks for your support on the videos Roland. I think hobbies are great to have. Finding enjoyment in the process of creating is always a treasure in life.

So far it is a job. I'm trying to make all my own tooling, and learning on my own. Keep up the vids, you're gonna be huge

Thanks for your message. Learning on your own may seem like a long road somedays but you will come out the other side able to solve challenges a lot quicker. Never be afraid to ask for help and or advice from others that are maybe further ahead in the journey. Regards Terrick

If I can make a small request? I would absolutely looooove to see a sheathe for the L'Indespensible knife. The Tina blades I had suffered from far too many drops, but sheathe work is new territory for me (let alone something like that particular knife).

Right now i enjoy leatherwork as a hobby. If i can combine it with business and still have a passion it would be great!
    Nice video, btw.

What steel do you make your cutting tools from?
