In this video we head to the beautiful California coast, and do some long exposure seascape photography. We also photograph some blooming calla lilies during a colorful sunrise.

I agree with you about the crowds Mike. Just come back from my first shoots on Isle of Skye and Glencoe and although a few 'tourists' around it was really pleasant in terms of nos. of people around. I gather once it gets to Easter school hols then it will be murder! I find having a place to myself when shooting makes it so much more relaxing.....perhaps all us Togs used to be hermits!🤣🤣.

Just got back from doing some sunrise photography in Big Sur too! Living in SoCal is definitely tough for finding quieter spots, so we really enjoyed the quiet openness of the Big Sur coast. Nice images!

@@PereaPhotography I was at the Lillies last month. Great choice going in the morning. It was wall to wall people for sunset. No way to get a shot and the field was getting trampled. Next time you guys are in Cali let me know and we can meet up for second breakfast…or third. 😁
Some lovely shots there. It's always better to shoot minus a crowd, if possible.
Regarding ICM, I think it's nonsense

You got some great photos along the coast there! Other than right around the Bay Area, I have not seen much of the coastline of California. I would love to explore more of it one of these days especially along the PCH. Great video!

Love that there were no big crowds, the images came out great, California sure has a beautiful coast line. I find a lot of my images are UCM (Unintentional Camera movement) unless I use a tripod 😂👍 Chris's ICM image should be named "Running from the Waves" 🌊🤗

Great video. I love you guys BUT tye use of drones along the Big Sur Coast without a federal permit is illegal. Just like a national park, you are legally prohibited from flying any drone in the Monterey National Marine Sanctuary which runs from Santa Cruz to just north of San Simeon. I know this because I am both a licensed drone pilot and photographer that lives in the area.
Hey Art! Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I was certain I was south of the Monterrey county border, but you’re right, I was just inside the southern boundary. Definitely a mistake.
