Placido really is admirable here. Colouring of the vowels, the phrasing, use of the text. Really exciting singing! Even if he does look as if he ate all the potato chips!

Dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Been streaming with my girlfriend during the lockdown =)
Ahahah.....Domingo non ha mai cantato bene così!!! Non so se è il microfono o quant'altro, ma qui esegue molto bene!!! Anche il baritono è ottimo a parte una pronuncia Italiana molto alla Tedesca!!! Grazie

Another envious cheap. Stfu and take it with some grace that you are no one and - of course - of no. comparison to Domingo at all. Placido was always a very handsome, tall man, at whom ladies were throwing themselves out during most of his career.
Brendel seems to be hanging with Domingo just fine in my opinion. Plus I heard him sing this live just last week with Russel Thomas (that's why I looked it up) and he hasn't lost much and still hung just fine with another world renowned tenor, only now he's like 76.
What's so horrible about his singing? Obviously his German rep was always better than his Italian but he sounds fine here (though you can barely here anything with all the mic peaking).

Great singing but hahaha Why would Placido wear a white outfit being that fat?. I know that he never has cared about that but this is too much.

Brendel is horrible. And Domingo sang better in the 1977 live recording with Milnes.
