Hi. Very good video and comprehensive.. I have a Honda CRV 2007 4x4 automatic 2.0 engine R20A2 , and under the engine filter housing I have a black metal filter, which I presume that is the transmission filter. Can you help me and tell me if that is the automatic transmission filter? Since I want to replace it. I have no problems, just for maintenance purpose. Thank you
Hello 😀. Unfortunately not, because here in my country, the only engine option for this car is R20A SOHC petrol engine 😕. But it should be roughly the same 😁.
Yes, you need to clamp it first (very tightly) and then twist it back and forth and at the same time, pull the coolant hoses back 😃. These hoses have been clamped since 2011, so you get the idea how hard it is to remove it 😁.
Hello 😀. From your question, I assumed that your car does crank but does not start. No, a dirty Throttle Body (TB) and Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) will not cause a car to not start because you only need air, fuel, and spark to get the car running. Check those first. For the TB and IACV, it is extremely rare for these two components to get jammed up (TB Butterfly Valve) and clogged up (IACV) from a minor dirt. Hope that helps! 😄
stuck closed idle air control can cause crank no start (its very rare though) just watched scanner danner video on it, it was lexus. try to start the car with foot on the pedal (not much, just a little to open TB butterfly to let some air come in), if car is still no start, you can rule TB/IAC.
Yeah 😃. Here in Malaysia, the only engine offered is R20A. Maybe because in my country, we do have a car road tax system similar to other European countries which is based on the CC of the engine. The larger the CC, the more tax you need to pay 😅.
This video has the best up close views. Very good instructions, thank you.
That's good to hear 😀. Thanks for watching my videos 😁.
Very good work ! Thank you !
Thank you for watching! 😀🙇🏻♂️
excellent, appreciate !
Thank you! 😃🙌🏻
Thanks for helpfull video

Hello 😃. Yes it is 😁.
Thank you very much for your reply. Have a good day
@@zahariafelix You are welcome 🤗.
Do you perhaps have such a video, but of the 2.2 ICDTI N22A engine?

those two coolant hoses just SO difficult to remove. How did you manage it? just keep wiggling and twisting?

Can't you just spray the throttle body without removing the whole thing?
Hello 😀. Yes you can. It is just that I like to clean it thoroughly 🤣.
Do you get a high idle every time you start your car now?
Interestingly, my car does not have any idle issues after I moved the butterfly valve. The engine runs just fine 🤣
From you expertise will a dirty throttle body and idle air control valve cause a car to not start?

@@LanesEngineering it is nice to clean up your engine bay 🙏🏻

Wery good, super 👏
Thank you 😀🙇🏻♂️
I thought you really weren’t supposed to move the butterfly valve by hand like that.
Yes, you should not 🤣
2011 Honda CR-V? That does not look like the 2.4L K Engine which was used in the US.
