- Great concert, great quality, great voice! This show was originally broadcasted on the radio on September the 16th 1988 and therefore it's in top quality. The venue was Poplar Creek in Chicago. I think this show is very good overall with "The Ballad Of Danny Bailey (1909-34)" which Elton rarely performs live. I think this is the only tour Elton did the song in (except for the 1973 + 1974 concerts - correct me if i'm wrong). Moreover I just think you should enjoy this concert!

You can hear the shock in the crowd as he hits that first falsetto
That's just the climax of the song . People got exited at that part when elton sounded terrible in 86

Love this version since he hits all the "shine a light" falsettos very clean even after the surgery. And the quality is great, this show should be released on Spotify!
