    I played Hurrican DHS3, i pretty much like them. Yes, you have to work hard to generate speed and include all body parts for power. Just by focusing omn forhand acceleration and wrist (like german technic teaches more or less) its harder to controll that rubber and make it reliable. But once you master that, it gives you incredible control, crazy spin and good speed. The tackiness also helps close to the table, short touches, serves, flicks, counters etc.
    Now i wanted to try something new, but also a sticky rubber which is low price. Thats why i went Hurrcian 8 on both sides. You said it feels different to the other hurricans. Lets see. Thanks for the review anyways! Much appreciated! It was about what i needed to have a compairison on the sicky rubbers on the marcket (maybe include other brands aswell such as Rakza Z or Dignics09c so players have a overview?).
    Lastly i want to mention Sergejs backhand. What a weapon of mass destruction. Crazy power and accuracy!! 😵😵

    DHS Hurricane Two is sharper, more precise, has less room for error, and puts a much lower arc than the other hurricanes. The hurricane 3s (not the 3-50 haven’t tested it) have the highest throw angle out of all the hurricanes, hurricane 8 in second, and hurricane 2 with the lowest. Hurricane two is meant for close to mid distance loopers with long stroke and great technique. I personally use it on my back hand.

    Hello, fantastic review!
    I've never played tacky rubbers before and have no experience with those whatsoever.
    This is why I finally want to try out a tacky rubber to see if I like it or not. There are so many different options though so I'm a little overwhelmed with what to choose. I also don't want to go the extra step of boosting if not absolutely necessary.
    All the different DHS hurricanes, Nittaku Hurricane, Rakza Z (extra hard), Dignics 09c and so on. I'm used to playing with a Nittaku Fastarc G-1 on FH and Fastarc C-1 in BH. I'm playing an innerlayer carbon blade (xiom icecream azxi). I love attacking with a strong forehand. Based on all this, could you give me a recommendation on where to start my tacky rubber journey? :)

    probably the first accurate video that i've seen of h3. thank you! everyone else has a completely garbage fh stroke and says things that are completely untrue of pretty much any tacky rubber. my question is, even after playing with both, what is the preference in dealing with the provincial blue sponge vs the national orange sponge?

    • @Tabletennis11

      Thank you for such a warm comment! We hope to make more reviews with some useful information for our customers and viewers in the future as well!

    • @Tabletennis11
      @Tabletennis11  3 роки тому +4

      As for the comparison: in my opinion, blue sponge is quite a lot harder and without boosting it feels very slow ( too slow for me ). However, if you use several (2-3) thin layers of booster, the Blue Sponge shows its potential. The orange sponge is softer and is possible to use without boosting. If applying even about of booster to both rubbers, blue sponge feels great for the aggressive game (topspins; counter topspins from any distance), while orange sponge if more versatile: easier to block and chop, while still maintaining enough of speed and power.

    • @Tabletennis11
      @Tabletennis11  3 роки тому +5

      And difference between provincial and national rubber is just a matter of quality selection. The national version will be simply a lot more stable in the sickness and hardness of the sponge. I personally play with Hurricane 3 Neo Provincial blue sponge on the forehand side. Great potential, especially for my aggressive game.
      Hope it could be useful for you!

      @Tabletennis11  2 роки тому +4

      Hello! Thanks for the question and glad you liked the video.
      You do not necessarily have to remove the glue layer to reboot the rubber.
      If when the rubber was detached from the blade the whole gluer stayed as a whole
      ( not torn and some parts were not left on the blade ),
      then you can apply one extra layer on the sponge with the glue layer, let it dry for ~24 hours, and attach it back to the blade

  • @voberle

      2 to 3 month depending on how often you play. Also keep in mind that these rubbers should be cleaned after use since they are tacky.

    • @Tabletennis11
      @Tabletennis11  3 роки тому +8

      Hello! Thank you for your question!
      The durability depends on the intensity of the usage.
      I started playing with Hurricane when I was 13 and at that time I was not using booster. I could play with one rubber for more than 6 month at that time. And then I changed a rubber because of tears and shabby, not because of the down grade of the playing characteristics.
      Now I apply two layers of booster and I play a lot more powerful, so the rubber lasts for 2.5 - 3 month

    I've only tested the standard H3neo and the nittaku version, the latter being more suitable for everything with a more lively sponge. To be honest I watched the video just for the neottec voodoo blade, i already have the magic control and was the best purchase I ever made, maybe I'll get the voodoo just for fun

    • @Tabletennis11
      @Tabletennis11  3 роки тому +2

      Nittaku Hurricane really feels more lively if you compare it with Chinese Hurricanes with no booster. Also another big advantage you can choose thinner rubber ( especially for the defenders and "blocking" players ).
      The blade is worth trying I think. Maybe not as fast as modern carbon blades, but definitely great in control/speed relation. Classical 5-ply all-wood construction. That is why we chose that blade for rubber testing.

    I recently tried Hurricane 3 Neo and it seemed very hard and I was not able to generate as much speed as I was used to getting from the Xiom Vega Europe I was used to playing with. I removed it after just one session nd boosted it, but I haven't tried it again yet. Does playing with it after boosting actually soften the sponge that much in your opinion?

    • @nickkick7556
      @nickkick7556 3 роки тому +3

      It will soften it a little bit. But the man effect of boosting is that it will make the rubber easier to play, the rubber behaves more consistent and it’s easier to get the “crack” sound when looping.

    • @Waingro808
      @Waingro808 3 роки тому +1

      Softens it only 1-2 degrees on DHS scale, so it will still be hard. Xiom Vega Europe is equal to 30 degrees on DHS scale.

    • @Tabletennis11
      @Tabletennis11  3 роки тому

      Hello! Thank you for the question!
      The booster makes the rubber more elastic, so in a way softer. The strokes become easier to perform, as you do not need to implement so much power in the active shots. But the grip and control qualities stay on the same level in my opinion.

    • @Tabletennis11
      @Tabletennis11  3 роки тому

      But indeed Xiom Vega Europe will still be a lot more springy, even if you compare it to the boosted Hurricane 3 Neo. Hurricane wins in the spin and control category I think. And you are able to give as much power and spin as you want, almost without any risk to play "out"

      Reason 1. Is they are somehow connected with the Neottec brand (maybe owners or co-owners). Reason 2. The blade is very well made, is balanced, and goes well with every types of rubbers (I own it).

    • @novasky9445
      @novasky9445 3 роки тому +1

      That is correct CNT players get special rubbers that are boosted from the factory which breaks in the rubber. You can also break it in by playing with it hence the more you use the better it gets.

    • @nickkick7556
      @nickkick7556 3 роки тому +1

      What the player did at 7:56 is that he’s breaking in the rubber. There are videos of CNT players doing this at practice. The rubber they play with before a match aren’t so fresh that it’s their first time playing it.

      seriously tough. Yes its illegal, but there is no accurate way of detecting it, so players do it anyway. In my opinion they should just remove the rule, because it is giving players a dilemma of following the rules or doing what most players are doing.

  • @rockys7726
    @rockys7726 2 роки тому

    Yes Hurricane rubbers give a lot of spin but they are affected by opponent spin as well. If your strokes are not fast you will be at disadvantage. So you have to make the perfect stroke on every shot. They are not very forgiving rubbers and are more suited to advanced players.
