    Great video breakdown of the CBS delete! I'm planning to do the same for my NAVI, so thanks for blazing the trail! I'm also planning to replace some of the brake bits with OEM pieces from the Mexican or Indian markets (non-CBS). The ADV150's locking front brake lever is another mod that I think will be great for the NAVI... and it will allow for a traditional left hand brake like most other scooters.
    Did the CBS delete improve the brake feel? All of that added linkage isn't helping the squishy lever situation. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

      Appreciate it! Love your vids man! The brake feel is smooth and has plenty of travel. I havent been able to ride it except a short ride around the neighborhood. Happy with how it felt and dying to try it out more once it stops snowing here lol. Interested in seeing what you come up with! Thanks for watching my friend 🤘🏼

    I got a 5"x 7" molle pouch from Amazon to attach to the cross bar on the handle bars. It fit perfect and looks great too. It will be handy for a cell phone or keys.

    Damn.. you beat me to it! Great vid man!!
    That's exactly the same type of distributor thing as the og Metropolitan. It's always squishy and inconsistent. And you can't trail brake properly.
    Stoked this was relatively easy AND we're able to reuse the cables.
    I do think I'd like to swap the parking brake for a lever tho.

    Thank you for the video. Like you noted, it's a pretty involved procedure, especially for me. I was wondering if there is an adjustment I could make at one of those adjusting nuts at the rear to stop the rear brake from also engaging the front when you press on the foot brake? I'm guessing not, or else you probably would have mentioned it. Thank you!

    • @Floatsorrolls1
      @Floatsorrolls1  5 місяців тому

      Thanks for watching! Easiest way is actually by loosing one of the two nuts on the front wheel that activates the front brake! It will not be near as effective in rear wheel braking power as this mod in the video is but will reduce the amount of braking distributed to the front when pressing on foot brake. I dont have the bike near me but you should be able to tell which line is being pulled when activating either the front brake lever or the foot brake. This will tell you which nut to loosen to reduce the braking to the front if tht makes sense? For example IF engaging the front brake lever pulls the top nut in it would be the other nut needing to be loosened. Note not to loosing it to much as you still need/want plenty of thread in the nut to prevent it from backing out or coming off. Just backing nut off a little will help. The second nut on the rear is for the parking brake. Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you got any other questions!😎🤘🏼

    I want to be able to use just the rear brake especially when going down steep gravel roads. Dump question but couldn't you just loosen the adjustment of the cable that goes to the front brake when you use the rear brake so the front brake would not be activated? Enjoy your videos of the Navi. EDIT: Just read @larry plumber's post below about replacing the parking brake lever with a larger one so that the left lever operates just the rear brake! That will solve my issue.

    • @Floatsorrolls1
      @Floatsorrolls1  2 роки тому +1

      Thats actually pretty interesting. I think it would work to a certain to answer the question but His option of the left lever swap would definitely be a better option and would provide as good of braking as the junction box delete. 👍🏼 having cable directly linked makes the brakes way better! Thanks!

    Anyway you can breakdown or show how you removed the rear fender completely? It looks so much better with it removed

    • @Floatsorrolls1
      @Floatsorrolls1  2 роки тому

      There are 5 bolts total. two on the rear of the cvt holding a bracket to the the fender I removed. Then there is one attached to the rear of the air box near the shock and one more forward attaching to the air-box as well. Finally there is one on the other side of the bike mounting it to the exhaust. In the most recent video of the navi I show cutting the bracket off the exhaust to open the view to the wheel more and looks way better(just remember cutting that is a point of no return lol unless u get it welded back on). I believe they were all 10mm bolts but not 100%. Let me know if you got any more questions! 🤙🏼😎

    Imagine them installing a 2,5 gal tank instead of that storage, and getting near 3 gal of fuel and around 250miles range that would be a blast , who needs that storage!! this bike needs a rework.

    • @Floatsorrolls1
      @Floatsorrolls1  2 роки тому

      Haha that would be pretty sweet. Personally used to the small tank and filling up frequently coming from the supermotos lol. My 450 only has range of about 100miles. Would be a cool conversation for someone to modify the storage box and convert to a secondary tank. Thanks for watching!

      If you need range get a ninja 250 they have 5 gallons. I like the storage but not the cable brakes. I didn't even thing cable brakes would be legal super dangerous.

    great video, I just bought my navi new from the dealer. does it feel like when you let off going around 45 Mi an hour that it feels like an engine brake, like a very strong engine brake? I don't have too much oil and I already adjusted all my brakes to make sure they're not rubbing. I don't want to take it back to the dealership on my second day of ownership! is this normal have you experienced this effect?

    • @Floatsorrolls1
      @Floatsorrolls1  6 місяців тому

      Apologize for the late reply! Engining braking was definitely evident on this bike. Maybe a little more than other bikes that ive riden but nothing crazy from my perspective. As long as you don’t have drag on brakes and your emergency brake wasnt left on(ask me how many times i did this😂) its probably normal. Especially if the bike runs fine beside tht. Congrats on the new bike! Thanks for watching!

    If someone who’s business savy/want to start one and made a ‘Navi Break Replacement Kit’ and sold it for $40-50 bucks. They would make a killing. These bikes gonna sell like hotcakes.

    I want to get my side panels wrapped. How hard are those to take off? It looks like just a few bolts under the seat and around the gas cap.

    • @Floatsorrolls1
      @Floatsorrolls1  2 роки тому

      Easy. You have those bolts and underneath on the bottom of the plastics. Might be easier to take storage box out to get to Philips heads better. The plastic side panels have a pin sticking out tht slide in a grommet. So after bolts removed it should be pulled straight outward 👍🏼

    • @Floatsorrolls1
      @Floatsorrolls1  2 роки тому +2

      You could and it would certainly work to a certain extent. I think it would be better to either swap out the parking brake lever for a normal one or delete the junction box. That away you have a fully functional rear brake. The foot brake felt mushy with the junction box. Having a direct cable to the desire brake is alway best when possible. I deleted the box over swapping levers to loose the weight and cuz im used to foot brake operating just the rear but hope this helps! Either the lever swap or junction box delete will give u a much stronger rear brake. 😎

    You could add just rear brake by useing the hand brake with out locking it, no?

    • @Floatsorrolls1
      @Floatsorrolls1  2 роки тому +1

      You could by applying the parking brake lever on handlebars but lever is shaped weird and awkward to use. Not designed for use other than parking. I liked the footbrake just engaging the rear for skiding the the back tire messing around plus felt weird since im used to normal brake operation of tradition bikes.

    • @Floatsorrolls1

    So you no longer have front brakes with this?

    • @Floatsorrolls1
      @Floatsorrolls1  2 роки тому

      You still have the front braking with the right hand lever this mod just makes it so the right foot brake only applies brake to the rear wheel. Factory the foot brake applies braking to the front and rear wheels. This mod makes it so the brake operation is more of a traditional motorcycle rather than a scooter. Its benefits are a stronger rear brake and allow for new riders to learn and get comfortable how a normal bike operates. I did it for my girlfriend to learn incase she gets into it and upgrades one day and for me to mess around and do skids 🤣
