    Crazy I didn’t know that about the way the brakes work even if you just loosen up the front from the rear. Very informative video thanks 👍🏼

      The linked system works fine as long as it’s adjusted properly, but it’s not very good for a biased set up so I prefer to remove it and separate the brakes completely. I hope it helps everyone understand how it all works.

    Funny seeing your UA-cam channel I remember seeing you ride your Honda navi on federal and seeing it and saying that thing is sick haha 👌🏽

      Thanks man! I take federal or cross federal everywhere I go! Haha

    Love your videos!!! Will you still be doing a longer form tutorial style video on the Disc Brake Navi install. It would be greatly appreciated!

      The current setup took a bit too much custom work for me show but if I do it again on the second Navi I’ll make a video.

      @@xtramediumminimoto Awesome! Please please do. I feel like there a lot of people that either have a Navi and want to do a brake conversion or are hesitant to buy a Navi because of the drum brakes in the first place. A long form tutorial video would have built in audience as nothing really comes up when searching for the topic, so the views would be alllllll yoooours lol!

      The drum brakes on these actually work great, it’s the tires that are the biggest setback. They’re super hard so they’ll last a long time but also perform poorly against ANYTHING else. The best advice I have is to start with the removal of linked brakes and better tires. I’m 100% confident you’ll be happier with the brakes after that.

    Why do you have a 10a fuse piggybacked on the Add a Fuse instead of a matching 7.5a?

    • @xtramediumminimoto
      @xtramediumminimoto  2 роки тому +1

      That circuit is powering the lighting so I went up a step. A 7.5 would probably work just as well.

    Where can I get those rims and tires . How do you install them ?

      They are custom and machined for my Navi. Contact Steady Garage. They can make anything, including wheels.

    Are you planning on upgrading the carb on your 1st Navi? Polini 24 mm carb? Scooter swap shop shows almost 2 horsepower increase on a $300 kit. SC Moto formerly SC Navi is hitting 57-58 mph and he doesn't have it tuned completely right, to run quarter throttle or wide open throttle. According to this own video. Anyways, thanks for the videos and the seriously sweet build.

      I have the polini carb on the second Navi. I bought the MMN kit for the first one but I’m hoping to max out the stock carb and get closer to a consistent 65mph before upgrading.

      @Xtra Medium Mini Moto That is totally cool. Be careful and have fun. Thank you.

    I just bought my navi, and when I let off the throttle completely it feels like it has an engine brake and slows down very quickly, is it normal to have it feel like it has an engine brake because there's no clutch to pull in?

    • @xtramediumminimoto
      @xtramediumminimoto  9 місяців тому +1

      To some degree that’s normal with a CVT transmission. But the smallest amount of too much oil can reall affect small engines. Half way on the hash marks when NOT screwed in.

      @@xtramediumminimoto thanks, love your channel, I'm going to install the DCR camshaft after break-in, I also bought a couple different clutches/variatior/rollers,intake and HV coil/rev limiter delete,I'm trying to do everything I can to be able to increase the speed so I can use it to commute, with an eventual 24mm carb and exhaust, to get as much top end as I can possibly get out of this little thing for the highway

      Hopefully you have better luck with the cam than others. 👍

      @@xtramediumminimoto thanks, that sounds ominous lol, have you heard anything bad about cam upgrades in your travels? there's very little information available.

    • @xtramediumminimoto
      @xtramediumminimoto  9 місяців тому

      Haven’t heard anything good about it. But several people messed up their engines trying to install it, but I assume that’s just installation error.

    I wondered what they look like naked. I kinda dig it. Are you still doing a Navi/Ruck swap? Very interested in following that.

    • @xtramediumminimoto
      @xtramediumminimoto  Рік тому +1

      Yes, definitely still working on the Navi/ruck swap. Just super busy right now trying to get at least 2 of the 5 non running scoots in my garage right now. 🤣 I’ll share updates as soon as I have some. This weekend is also Milehigh Mayhem, one of the countries best scooter rallies every year, so I’ve got a lot in my plate til it’s over.
