In this video I only have 1 Ork list for you at 500, 1000, 1500, and 2,000 point values. I will also cover some of the reasons you may or may not want to start a Ork army yourself.

You should see the one my local Ork player has! He has tons of model train station Tree foliage all over it and its painted purple so it can be da sneakiest staompa.

As always, it should be noted, this assumes that you buy directly from GW. Friendly local game stores almost always have a 15% discount on GW products they sell, so for $900 that would mean you shave off ~$135 in savings. Certainly nothing to sneeze at. And if you wanna go cheaper than that, there's always used secondhand lots on ebay and the like too.

Correct. My videos always use GW MSRP as mentioned in my rules for lost building. I always recommend shopping around second hand, supporting your Local game store, or using Amazon where available. Because I can't guarantee prices for things like "the price of your lgs" or "the price on ebay" I avoid using them so that people don't get unrealistic expectations for their area!

The funny thing is that its possible to create an entire Ork army from just scrap plastic, glue and plasticard and it would it defiantly be lore accurate. only difficulty is that you could only bring them to a select few tournaments.

Ebay orks they are cheap for lots of boyz most are unpainted or barely painted. You can at least get the core boyz and get new stuff to off set some cost

You can't really budget build for Orks without getting into scratchbuilding or kitbashing IMO, you just get as many boyz as you can and charge. Kommandos are great and very easy to kitbash together from spare bits and some greenstuff and avoiding overwatch is so important for an army that wants to get krumpin from turn 1.
If you can then you should 100% get some mekguns and a big mek with shokk attack gun.

I definitely will at some point! It will almost certainly be after the next balance dataslate as the next three armies will be Votann, Adeptus Custodes, and then a Chaos faction that hasn't yet been determined.

It really is bizarre to me that there isn't a box set that's like 20 Boyz, 10 Gretchen, and 10 nobz. It feels like such an easy slam dunk set to get people going
