Please add corona batch render in VFB, if its possible. I want to save several renders per night so that I don't have to switch the lightmix myself. The standard function is very outdated.
Hi! Thank you for the feedback - so that your idea / request is not lost, please post in the Feature Request (either for Max or for C4D depending) over on the forums at forum.corona-renderer.com/ . I am not sure if this resolves your issue, but you can now have multiple LightMixes set up at the same time, which means one render can create the day, noon, night, etc. versions in just one render and you'll get all of those saved separately (so if you mean you don't want to render, then load the different LightMix .conf files to get the different versions... Corona 12 solves that without needing batch rendering). Hope this helps! Tom
It would be cool to have the possibility of rendering with corona in unreal engine or exporting corona material to unreal engine just like redshif does.

Hi! Most materials should come into Vantage looking very similar to how they are in Corona (for those materials that are compatible). They will not be editable though, so in that sense they are baked. You can however apply materials onto an object from any existing materials in the scene, or from Chaos Cosmos. But yep, as Vantage is not a content creation tool in the full sense (it is not intended to be), then material editing is not something available in it. Hope this helps! Tom
Vantage is a separate product, with its own subscription - this applies to V-Ray users too, as well as Corona users (and something we took effort to point out in the forums when people were asking for Vantage compatibility, to make sure people were aware and that it didn't change their interest in having the feature). Meantime, you can test out the functionality with the free trial of Vantage. Thanks! Tom
Well our node system does something very different from the in-built node system, the two have different aims (ours is to allow having one node and connect it to multiple places in one or many shaders or other nodes, since our Max userbase can do all that and most Corona materials are built around that functionality). Let us know via ticket exactly what is not working the C4D editor that you wish was working (support.chaos.com/requests/new ) and then we can respond and track that specific request. Hope this helps! I think it just comes down to the fact that all of their official promo material always comes out underrepresenting the engines capabilities. Anything you see in those videos could be done way better and way more realistic looking, instead it feels rushed and unfinished. Corona can indeed yield beautiful results, only that you have to check people's work instead of official trailers and promos.
What do you mean? In quality both Vray and Corona are still at the top of the market! Both Unreal and Blender's engines are not factually better than them, each has it's pros and cons.
Sorry to disappoint, but there is no Corona for Archicad - that was discontinued in 2020 at quite an early stage, see forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=28493 . Best regards, Tom
@@ChaosCorona It feels very bad that even your core audience is archviz people and you are completely ignoring BIM Software. Ultimately they also generate surface at the end so what is the issue in implementing. Atleast leave some way like blender so community can develop it slowly.
@@3dMistri Hi! Part of our plan for Corona 13 is .vrscene import, with a focus on the .vrscene as written by Enscape, to open up the door to those who are architects moving their stuff over to where archviz people can "do their thing" (or the architect can give it a go themselves, with how simple Corona is). Other than that, the development time required to make any port of Corona itself, coupled with the lack of good developers to expand the team, would mean Corona development slowing down too much for our core products, making it non-viable. There is a third party exporter from Blender that can send things to the Corona Standalone, so that door isn't closed off either. Hope this helps! Tom

Sorry, there will be no new versions of Corona developed for anything other than the core DCCs of 3ds Max and Cinema 4D. I hope that is not too disappointing. Best regards, Tom
The VFB was rewritten in QT, to make it more responsive and open the door for future improvements and features. Unfortunately the spinning smiley does not work there. While we aim to add some "rendering is in progress" indicator, it most likely will not be the smiley as it doesn't look good inside the new UI - so I'd say it is time to raise a toast, and "Press F to pay respects" as the meme goes, for the spinning smiley. Tom
You'd have to contact the Vantage team for that - best thing I can think of is to send in a ticket support.chaos.com/requests/new as the general way to get requests and feature requests in to the system, where they will then head to the relevant team(s). Thanks! Tom
they don't want to, they keep saying CPU rendering is faster than GPU rendering, I must be blind because corona is so slow on ym CPU but I switched to octane and I can render faster. It's a fail marketing strategy if you have to invest thousands of euros to produce great archviz imagery
they have told this a million times and they must be tired to reply to the same dumb question. They are a company that makes a CPU renderer and only that. and they are freaking great at it. its one of the fastest unbiased CPU renderers. they have mentioned that several times that, their only concentration is to make their product the best at what it is, not make a half baked product for just the sake of it, like vray GPU. its been there for 10+ years and still doesn't support many things and is one of the slowest GPU renderers. why? still the major concentration is on vray CPU development. if you want GPU renderer, just switch to Redshift or Octane.. they are great because the company only developed FOR the GPU and its fast and has all major features.
Oh I have to have a wee bit of a laugh here :) For background info, the original commenter was a member of the Corona team until very recently and a close friend of us all still! There do seem to be some serious replies though, so, on that score - one reply is right, there will never be a Corona GPU as this would not be what people expect (all features of Corona, identical results, just magically on GPU and faster) and would take years of development time (rewriting for GPU is a complete change to how things are calculated), and so would slow down development of the core product significantly. However, if you want GPU rendering, now you can have it by adding a Vantage license and using the new export functionality; GPU rendering with ray tracing no less! This opens up all the same possibilities as "Corona GPU" would have (with the same limitations), without the need for years of development and massively slowing development on everything else. A best of both worlds solution, we believe! Hope this helps! Tom Also, "rowmanns, you dog!" lol :)
It was from the live concert in Chicago earlier this year, I love the game, and I love the music! Thanks! Tom (EDIT - Sorry, I said Boston and meant Chicago... that was because it was so good I have contemplated going again, to the Boston one that happens later this year lol).

My favorite game of all time, on so many levels. Including the awesome music :) T-shirt and the 9s plushie hiding in the background are from the Chicago live show earlier this year, it was amazing. Thanks! Tom
Background trivia - it was gaming that brought me into 3D, the first "3D scene" I created was recreating an old torn-down church from a b&w photo using the editor in Half Life (not as a level, just as something to be 'rendered' out), and I enjoyed doing that so much I got into 3D rendering. Never let anyone tell you gaming is a waste of time! ;) Thanks! Tom
There will be some tradeoff in realism for speed - however, don't take what the Corona team can create as being the best Vantage can do ;) Wait til you see what our users have been creating with Corona and Vantage (sign up for the webinar to catch the first glimpse of that!). Thanks! Tom
Not sure if the comment is a request to have AI features added to Corona - either way, Chaos' approach to AI and some of what we view as being genuinely useful tools can be found at www.chaos.com/next , and Corona will aim to support or work with any Chaos AI tools as and when they become available.
@@punithaiu best reply ever
Tom
Also, "rowmanns, you dog!" lol :)
I think the Vantage features is coming to fill that request.
nice NieR shirt
It was from the live concert in Chicago earlier this year, I love the game, and I love the music! Thanks! Tom (EDIT - Sorry, I said Boston and meant Chicago... that was because it was so good I have contemplated going again, to the Boston one that happens later this year lol).
@@ChaosCorona Truly some of the best game OST out there, high five.
Sorry but that version have nothing for architects.
Sorry you feel that way - do let us know what features you would like to see, that would make it good for architects, via the Feature Request sections of the forums (forum.corona-renderer.com/ ) so that we take those into consideration for future plans. Thanks! Tom
nier automata is a hell of a game
My favorite game of all time, on so many levels. Including the awesome music :) T-shirt and the 9s plushie hiding in the background are from the Chicago live show earlier this year, it was amazing. Thanks! Tom
@@ChaosCoronanice to see people in this industry that also enjoy a good game in life.
Background trivia - it was gaming that brought me into 3D, the first "3D scene" I created was recreating an old torn-down church from a b&w photo using the editor in Half Life (not as a level, just as something to be 'rendered' out), and I enjoyed doing that so much I got into 3D rendering. Never let anyone tell you gaming is a waste of time! ;) Thanks! Tom
This Vantage animation looks so cartoonish. Corona animations are waaaay better and realistic but sadly they take longer to render.
There will be some tradeoff in realism for speed - however, don't take what the Corona team can create as being the best Vantage can do ;) Wait til you see what our users have been creating with Corona and Vantage (sign up for the webinar to catch the first glimpse of that!). Thanks! Tom

add to AI
Not sure if the comment is a request to have AI features added to Corona - either way, Chaos' approach to AI and some of what we view as being genuinely useful tools can be found at www.chaos.com/next , and Corona will aim to support or work with any Chaos AI tools as and when they become available. Thanks! Tom
شكرا @@ChaosCorona
You are welcome!
awesome, I like this relic renderer still have no GPU and as slow as 10 years ago on the also ancient relic software 3DSMAX🥰
But there is GPU, that is the main feature of the release - the ability to move your scene to real time ray tracing with Vantage. Thanks! Tom
@@ChaosCorona Great! Even more awesome, now you only have to pay 54usd per month more to get it render on GPU, good job
Which given the power and usability of Vantage is very reasonable. Not to mention there will never and never would have been a Corona GPU, so this is at least a way to have both options in your toolset. Thanks! Tom
@@ChaosCorona nice business model
@@perori_neko yes having vantage support is not considered as GPU support, its more like conversion . Its like converting corona material to vray and then exporting to vantage.:(
