Very nice video. It was good to know that I could make a one thickness cap; the other how to videos I have seen make a very long tube and then double the tube inside to make the cap.
I got this for Christmas and I m in love this is so much fun and making my recovery from knee surgery go very well.
I hope you're enjoying your machine and I pray for your speedy recovery! Happy Making! 😊
I love my 2 machine I have I just got my order today for 46 needle one
Your knitting machine series is so helpful!
I'm so glad!
Hi there, I am watching your tutorial and the date is 08/21/2022. I like this one, as these are the types of hats that I knit. The yarn you demonstrated for your hat I use as waste yarn. I bought it from Dollar tree. Look forward to your upcoming tutorials. Great job. Good show, well done to you.
Thank you so much...I just received my machine today and I found your video and you help me great I made my first with you while watching your video❤❤❤❤❤❤I love this and your video made it easy to learn...😊
Hi Mary,
I'm very glad I could help you! Thanks for watching and being a part of my community ♥😁
Thank you so much for this video! I am very thankful to see someone show me easy ways of doing things. This has helped me SO much, and I just want to say thank you for sharing!
Hi Staci,
I'm so glad I could help! 😊
Thanks to ur guide I know now to use my sentro machine ❤
I'm so happy to have helped!
Thanks for this easy tutorial. I'm new to this exact machine and currently making hats. Wasn't sure about how to finish them off. So this help a lot!
Hi Connie, I'm glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video, got my Sentro this week. Good idea using a slip knot. I did the cast off cranking dropping one needle at a time. I’ll try
going all around with no yarn, looks quicker. Thanks and I subscribed.
Congrats on your new machine! I'm glad my tips were helpful! Welcome aboard!
Like the way u laugh. So genuine... Thanks for sharing
Aw, I blush! Thanks for tuning in!
Thank you, for this video. My first challenge was casting off. You explained that for me. I've only had my machine a week, but I was having trouble with my right shoulder, so I turned my knitter 90° so the crank was in front of me. The cranking is so much easier but it's a bit more difficult to see the counter. My only problem is that I like to turn my knitter different ways for different functions, catching dropped stitches or casting off. I have a piece of 3/8" plate glass underneath so the suction cups have something to seal to. I may remove the suction cups and place the knitter on a pad I have. I think it would keep the machine stable enough so I can knit and also turn it so I can more easily turn it for other functions.
Have you thought about mounting it on a lazy susan?
To secure your machine suction cups use Scotch double-sided tape that will support so many pounds and it works wonderful!
Thank you for that!
Put adhesive Velcro on the feet and the table. It will stay put and your stitches will be more even and you can go faster.
Your tutorial has helped me sooo much!!!
I'm so glad!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you
Thank you I just got mine today
Have you tried wetting the suction caps?
Thank you for your fabulous video! I am having problem with casting on. When I start on my second row it is starting to drop. I don’t know what I am doing wrong.
Hi Jennie,
What yarn are you using? In the beginning I had this problem because they yarn I was using was too thick for my machine.
Hi Ive just joined your group! My Setro I bought last year(I'm in semi tropical Australia)...and used it twice only, so I'm back to have another go- but it's taking a bit of practice again, I'm in desperate need of patience..it seems a bit stuck like it needs oil???
Hi! Thank you for joining! If it's stuck or grinding, its possible that there's fibers or dust in it... you could try canned air (I'm not sure if they make that. I'm American lol) and if that doesn't work, a little oil might work. Also make sure the switch is completely up or down
Hi. Me again. First, 1 say thank u, I m totally zero knowledge on sewing. But I manage sew a beanie based on ur video. Thanks ; )
Anyway, I got question. Which video shall I refer for adding a band to cover up the curving cast on area ? I try search ur play list but x sure which u meant. Thanks in advance
Hi Cynthia! I'm really glad I can help you with that lol I'm no seamstress myself but you're totally welcome! If you're looking to crochet the band onto your project, I just did this tutorial before I started my break:

I'll be doing a different method after I come back in January. You could also try the double knit brim tutorial:

Thanks for the video. Can you tell me where I can buy the little tags you were speaking of. Are they on Etsy?
Hi!
No, the tags I had were from a place called Wunderlabel. wunderlabel.com/
My next machine I get will be 46 needle I would have all 3 of the machines. I have business so I will be busy making hats for sale and scarf 🧣 as well.:)
Thank you so much for making this video definitely will check out those measurement rows in the rounds for the different lengths of the hats that can be made. My question I want to ask about your rolled technique with your hat how secure is that after we wash it and maybe machine dry or even lay it flat to dry. Since there is no ribbing involved would that alter the wear ability of the the hat for the person in mind.
I don't know how the drier would affect it honestly, we air dry everything in my house but, I've washed these a couple of times and haven't had an issue.
Thankyou so much, I’ve just got my knitting machine today. Watching you was so helpful.
Is there a way to get the curl out the bottom of the hat? I would like mine to sit flatter rather than have a roll
I'm glad I could be helpful so far! I'm still working that bit out myself, so far, I've been limited to blocking my items or crocheting a trim onto my projects to remove the curl.
if you double the length and close both the top and bottom. fold one inside the other. its thicker and warmer and the bottom lays flat! hope this helps
Just got one for Christmas & cannot get it to work for me. I keep dropping stitches, not sure why. Today I got some pretty yarn for a beanie, maybe it's too thick for it? It kept getting stuck and then my white needle broke. What am I doing wrong? Thank you for your help. I love your videos!
Hi Carolina,
I had the problem of my yarn sticking in the beginning as well and for me, the yarn was too thick for the machine. I was unable to take my machine apart last summer but I'm pretty sure replacement parts exist for this machine. Thanks for watching! 💖
Sentros are actually really particular about yarn. A 4 weight is absolutely as thick as it can tolerate. 3 weight is better. So nothing thicker than worsted weight.
Static can cause dropped and tucked stitches and you can minimize that with a fine mist of water. Using knitting weights also helps prevent dropped and tucked stitches.
I wonder if a table with a cut out and using weights would help for those with “jumping” stitches. I have to use weights on my sock machine.
I've thought about building one tbh. Weights definitely do help though and also feeding the project to the front or back of the machine.
Weight is definitely a help. If you can't use a table with a hole, just a few claw weights until it gets long enough that you can roll it into itself like a doughnut, at which point it usually provides enough weight on its own.
But yes, while you don't need as much weight as a sock knitter, weight definitely helps prevent dropped and tucked stitches.
How long take it to make it
Easy way to measure the approximate circumference is to just measure a length of yarn across the width of the circle (diameter) and multiply that length by a little more than three and cut there 🙂
I do short hats on the same machine and it's 103 rows.
If you add a little water to the bottom of the suction cups that will hold the Sentro knitting machine to the table.
Hi Geraline,
Thanks for that, I'll try it out!
I’m so unhappy…did all the rows I needed., messed up the cast off. I guess there’s no way to save the beanie. I don’t want to give up, but I’m really 😔
I recently did a tutorial on waste yarn. It might do you some good to use that before you cast off so you have some error margin to work with!
Oki was doing ok with taking off some stitches ….but it wasn’t coming away from the loom as I went around. There’s still another stitch on the pin😢 can I save it?
I can’t believe this cast off thing is so hard for me….don’t want to give up, but I’m not giving up😣
De adulți?
Do you want to be friends to me
Why do people spend the first half of the video talking about things from past videos? Why not just go straight into what the video is about? I wasted minutes and minutes waiting to finally see how everything is done
Hello Gabby,
Usually I make references to previous content because people frequently ask if I've covered certain topics. It's just a way to guide them to other potentially helpful content. I'm sorry that you're displeased.
You can skip to certain parts of videos . Not that hard to do love . If you don't have patience for that then knitting and or crochet is not for you then obviously.
