In this video tutorial the Crafty Gemini teaches you how to make a red and white santa hat on my JAMIT circular knitting machine. I walk you through every step so you can apply these skills to making more different colored hats on your circular knitting machine.
My circular knitting machine is by JAMIT but it is identical to the 48-pin/needle machines branded Sentro, Santro, Addi, etc. If your knitting machine has 48 pins/needles you can follow along exactly with the tutorial to make these fun hats.
My kids also like to make these so they are a fun family project, too!

i agree, i 'm new to knitting machines. although a couple years ago. i got the kids version. but broke a peg, and couldn't' use it ... but would like to eventually get all sizes so i can make different projects to sell

I have made several hats by hand on the "manual" loom. I DO have a knitting machine much like yours. It is black and I forget the brand. I've had it quite a while but it intimidates me and I haven't used it yet. You make it look so easy! I MUST get it out! Thanks! ~Janice

I have a Bond knitting machine which knits a flat piece for a seam to finish but you gave me the idea to get going.
I've had skeins of yarn sitting waiting for me to be motivated to make the kids scarves and hats buying this it seems like cheating but what a time saver

I use your video, made 2 hats, but did have problems with the brim color showing. I finally figured out that in the beginning of the video you say 65 of red, but at the end you say 63. I've been doing 65. they look fine :) but next time going to try the 63

Ppppperrrfectly explained the only thing I would chain the tails of yarn with the crochet hook before pulling to make stronger.
