13 Years ago I was a lonely boy listening to this song on a bus, on an MP3 player on repeat. Heart broken and life apart. 13 Years later I sit in my own office having turned my life absolutely around the way I thought it was not possible- and listen to this song thinking about the past 13 years, and my 2 lovely kids - and how MTeden actually had a changing effect on my entire life. Thank you for being here!

I know I won’t get much attention but for those of you that use music to escape reality… this was one of those songs for me! Finding dubstep back in middle school and high school has literally kept me alive, with my mind constantly fighting me I’m happy to be alive ! You are all meant to be here!
This shit got me hating being an adult. Was a young teen when I found this and they were such better days. It's depressing as hell when the alarm goes off for work unlike it was for school. Nostalgia is such a bittersweet feeling.
Trust man. I finished school at 16, and went straight into work...I'm only 20 now but god I'd do anything to be back in the school days with all my mates! It's quality
Filip Gasic no, where I'm from you don't need to. I'm from the UK, you can get an apprenticeship and that's how I got into employment... I just wanted money more, and now I have a pretty good job, I didn't want to do anything at college / university

This song is such a trip for me. I remember listening to mt Eden way back when I was a teen. I remember specifically being 15 years old, I had fallen out with an ex of mine n was drinking quite heavily for a while. I was staying in Tybee island by the ocean at the time N would play this song, still alive and few other mt.eden tracks on repeat alot. I'm now almost 25. That ex I was so hurt over died just a few years ago n I myself am in such a different place. Really just a trip to look back on. So much good and bad nostalgia. Life is such a rollercoaster.
Crazy to think we was all imaging mw2 montages in our heads, then laying in our beds with headphones on, Old songs have a special way of transporting us back in time, reminding us of specific moments, people, and experiences that we may have thought were long forgotten. The lyrics, melody, and rhythm of a song can evoke strong emotions that we associate with certain memories or events, bringing them back to life in our minds. Absolute crazy to think this song is now an old classic. anyone reading this, we have come a long way. chin up, hands tight, we got this brothers & sisters. i love you all!
Can't describe my feelings mate, time is flying so fast but something stuck in memories for years like this song. I'm not CoD guy but remember many old CS:S movies and stuff and gotta admit that was probably my biggest source of nostalgie. Hope you doin' good through this time and further

This song will bring out the feels. They say Drakes music will have you missing exes you never dated. But this song right here will have people missing the guy in sixth grade English class who leant you a pencil that one time. How about this for a story then guys. Back in the day, me and my mate were having a sleepover. CoD 4 was on, we had a gaming chair blasting Mt Eden and this song came on. I turned to my friend, and asked him "Is this Bat For Lashes?" Yeah?" he replied. My uncle played in the band Bat for Lashes. We lost our shit, this was like our favorite song from then on. Looking back on it now it feels crazy. Mt Eden remixed a song my uncle played on.
I remember when I found this, it was one of the first edm songs I had found among other klaypex songs. This one has always been one of my favorites. Despite not listening to as much edm, this one always transports me back to middle school. Sweet melancholic nostalgia washes over me, reminding me everything is temporary. Good times, enjoy everything for what it is when you have it.
"You may think your yesterdays are in the past, but God knows you will meet them in the future, for your future is always confronting you and bringing in the harvest of what you are doing now."
And so it goes, time passes, things change, people change, but the music stays the same. I miss the simpler times like all of you, listening to Sierra Leone and Still Alive everyday in high school, it kept me going as cliche as it sounds. I can almost smell the times back then. I hope all of you find just as much nostalgic comfort in Mt. Eden as i do, much love my people.

Here's the original Lyrics, You're Welcome Daniel when I first saw you I knew that you had a flame in your heart And under our blue skies Marble movie skies I found a home in your eyes We'll never be apart And when the fires came The smell of cinders and rain Perfumed almost everything We laughed and laughed and laughed And in the golden blue Crying took me to the darkest place And you have set fire to my heart When I run in the dark, Daniel To a place that's vast, Daniel Under a sheet of rain in my heart Daniel, I dream of home But in a goodbye bed With my arms around your neck Into our love the tears crept Just catch in the eye of the storm And as my heart ran round My dreams pulled me from the ground Forever to search for the flame For home again, for home again When I run in the dark, Daniel To a place that's vast, Daniel Under a sheet of rain in my heart Daniel, I dream of home When I run in the dark, Daniel To a place that's vast, Daniel Under a sheet of rain in my heart Daniel, I dream of home
I heard it first at a random game Video that someone made with it, now eight years later I finally found its original version and the lyrics.. Its so beautiful still. But I want to share, what I thought/ she was singing : Saw you When I first saw you I knew that you have a thing in your Heart. Not a Rockstar, Or nor a Moviestar. I found a Hope in your Eyes, We'll never be apart. My English wasn't that good back then, and now I'm better at understanding than writing, but I couldn't understand the middle part of this Song, so yeah that's all. But I'm so happy to see so much emotional stuff here, so I feel better ya'll seem so supportive and kind here and I'm thanking for this video that showed me all of this and is giving me a feeling of a long lost innocent Time I really miss... ❤️ Thanks for every one, stay safe and live your life I a way, where you find some happiness
I never knew how much of an impact this had on so many as it did on me until I chose to listen to some today for the first time in a while. Reading the comments, it brings a tear to my eye because I'm so happy that so many others experienced it and share the same feelings. What a treasure! ♥
I was 18 when I went to Amsterdam/France for the first time. I ate a massive space brownie as this song played in the background along with this video. It was late April and the weather in Amsterdam was phenomenal and the sun was setting, but due to the jet lag, I was a sleepwalker. I was extremely content it was surreal. This song reminds me of that, in that beautiful place. It was one of the happiest moments of my life.

Cherry Girl Im sure they still remember it, how could they not, its a masterpiece! Been listening to it atleast once a week since I discovered it, absolutely timeless
I like Mt Edens style. Chill laid back beat with a deep bass synth constantly playing, a vocal sample from a female, and a lead rhythm.
The beginning of dubstep.
2010 vibes. Eating handfuls of mushrooms with a bunch of friends laid out on a couch listening to this while watching trippy stuff. I dont do drugs anymore but I always think back to those times when I hear this
Till this day 🔥🔥🔥 reminds me of my younger days good old days man..
11 years have passed man crazy. Still love this beat.
Here's the original Lyrics, You're Welcome
Daniel when I first saw you
I knew that you had a flame in your heart
And under our blue skies
Marble movie skies
I found a home in your eyes
We'll never be apart
And when the fires came
The smell of cinders and rain
Perfumed almost everything
We laughed and laughed and laughed
And in the golden blue
Crying took me to the darkest place
And you have set fire to my heart
When I run in the dark, Daniel
To a place that's vast, Daniel
Under a sheet of rain in my heart
Daniel, I dream of home
But in a goodbye bed
With my arms around your neck
Into our love the tears crept
Just catch in the eye of the storm
And as my heart ran round
My dreams pulled me from the ground
Forever to search for the flame
For home again, for home again
When I run in the dark, Daniel
To a place that's vast, Daniel
Under a sheet of rain in my heart
Daniel, I dream of home
When I run in the dark, Daniel
To a place that's vast, Daniel
Under a sheet of rain in my heart
Daniel, I dream of home
the original song is very beautiful too. :)
♡
I heard it first at a random game Video that someone made with it, now eight years later I finally found its original version and the lyrics.. Its so beautiful still. But I want to share, what I thought/ she was singing :
Saw you
When I first saw you
I knew that you have a thing in your Heart.
Not a Rockstar,
Or nor a Moviestar.
I found a Hope in your Eyes,
We'll never be apart.
I was 11 years old or younger when I discovered these songs and I love them to this day
Ohhh man just seeing it from 2009 was ahhhhhhhuh good asss times my guy😭 wish time travel was as thing man
this was my shit back In highschool school dubstep was pretty new to the scene at the time every pot smoker jammed to Mt eden.
It was one of the happiest moments of my life.
brings me back..
Hits different when you are 15 years older...
The RuneScape WoW MW2 days when we were just kids.. :,(
Nostalgia, the best feeling, and this song is the prime example! i remember listening to this in 8th grade i'm now a freshman in college. Take me back to the good ol days as a kid
As my dad always says, if time is slipping by, then you are most likely doing ok in life.
This came out when i was in grade nine. Im 21 now... Nostalgia is an intense feeling.

Me again. Life is good, this song will always hit deep!

My respect to u Mt. Eden
I’ve been searching for this for a couple years. I first heard it when I was in second grade when my older brother showed me dubstep/electronic music and I fell in love. I’m now going into my senior year and it feels so crazy. This song is still so beautiful and I’m glad I found it again
micah kates I'm so glad u did!!! I've been listening to this for many many years now 😊
and the flame in my heart still flickers...
Listening to this makes me feel so lonely. But it's the loneliness, that you are completely alone in the world and nobody will ever understand you......
I dont understand why people hate what is nice and beautiful..!
First heard this song in 7th grade and I'm now a sophomore in college. Forever regretting growing up to fast . Life sucks but trying to make the best out of it. I always find myself going back to mt eden bc it holds a special place in my heart. Who else is stll listening in 2017 (:
