Can plastic bins really keep bedbugs from infesting your clean linen? So 3 bed bugs (different stages) in my kids bedroom. Only affected the bottom bunk, at least from what I saw. I panicked, bagged the mattress and threw it out. Steamed the whole room and sprayed orko bedbug spray everywhere. Then showered and repeat to check next room (where I haven't seen in any other room. But did the same. I had landlord exterminator and health department to come check whole house for bed bugs. If I did not double bag the ones I saw they wouldn't have believed me. One exterminator knew me from my old apartment 6 years. He said I am just a insect phobe there is nothing. Pissed because I just moved into new home and purchased new furniture. He said those are definitely bedbugs but I don't see any anywhere. Looking through everyones mattress and reclosing encasements. Furniture etc... I know there not gone cause bed bugs are hard to ride of. Also was told from others these apartments have bed bugs and nobody hets exterminator because the NY law says tenants have to pay for it. This took a tole on me, like uped on my meds, no sleep searching for those nasty insects, and finally about to move. But scared that they are still around. Dont want to bring ones I haven't found with me. I definitely do not have money for exterminator. I am truely going crazy. Pissed of all the new furniture from repretable furniture stores and may have to throw it all out. Advice??????
