Yep, we generally recommend following up with contact and residual sprays in 2 weeks, then again 2 weeks after that, for a total of three applications.
1-2 room treatments, including what's needed to treat and protect your couch, can be done starting around $500. It depends on things like how many beds need to be treated, encased, and isolated, as well as how many rooms you're spraying/powdering and what you'd prefer in your steaming and vacuuming tools.
The equipment costs less than the labor and you get to keep the equipment for follow-up treatments. Buying the equipment is the most practical choice as long as you're able to read labels and follow instructions.

Yes, respraying every two weeks is ideal. This is in line with the time it takes for laid eggs to hatch, so we ensure that newborn bed bugs are exposed to freshly applied product.
Make sure u vacuum your couch crevices everything before you steam and after you steam after two to three treatments depends on how bad u had them you must put a chemical to protect your stuff
We were taking off the cushions to reach any cracks and crevices that bed bugs might be hiding in. Bed bugs can't bite or dig their way any deeper than you can reach with a steam nozzle.
