      Tell me about it! I moved into a new apartment almost two months ago. My new apartment is infested with bedbugs. My roomate and landlord didn't tell me, even though they knew for months!! I can move until I know they are gone and cannot stay with anyone because I could give it to them. My roomate doesnt give a F about them. She isnt doing anything about it! I have spent 200$ on equipment to battle them. Lately they have become more aggressive and just outright attacking before I sleep.

      @@Parkersnumberonefan I feel for you! I was exposed to them at the clinic I go to of all places! I was told by a nurse that she found one on the table after a patient was there. It is a nightmare dealing with them! We have spent so much money trying to get rid of them. I called the clinic to report it. They spread so easy. All it takes is one person carrying them on their clothes then someone sitting down where that person was. These bugs are little devils seaking who they can devour! Hopefully your nightmare is gone!

      @BedbugSupply  7 років тому +8

      1-2 room treatments, including what's needed to treat and protect your couch, can be done starting around $500. It depends on things like how many beds need to be treated, encased, and isolated, as well as how many rooms you're spraying/powdering and what you'd prefer in your steaming and vacuuming tools.

      It's possible for these steps to work without steam, but it reduces the chance of success. Steam can penetrate cracks and crevices to kill both adult bugs and their eggs on contact, which is something sprays can't do as well.

    • @BedbugSupply

      We were taking off the cushions to reach any cracks and crevices that bed bugs might be hiding in. If your cushions aren't removable, just perform the same steps along the seams at which they attach to the couch. Bed bugs can't bite or dig their way any deeper than you can reach with a steam nozzle.

    Glycolic Acid works good to Kill Bed Bugs, it,s in disinfectants such as Pine-Sol, mix pine-sol with water and a little laundry soap in a spray bottle and spry the bed, base of walls and suspected areas, I used this method but had trouble breathing as I made the mixture too strong, my home smells like an old Hospital but I have not been beaten for weeks now, I would not recommend this if you have small children as it contains (Glycolic Acid) and may disturb the breathing of infants so Please be careful.

    I'm not taking the bed or the couch. But I do know for a fact that the landlord did have prior knowledge of this infestation, due to a certain paragraph in the lease agreement. Never in my life have I signed one that had any wording like that.

      I'm sure a sofa like that can be saved, but I hate that kind of upholstered furniture. There are so many hiding places that it would be a major undertaking and it would be almost impossible to keep them from getting in again; how could one get steam far enough into those thick arms to kill them all? A sofa with a wood frame and removable cushions (or a high-end futon) would be far more practical.

    will getting rid of all of my furniture and replacing them get rid if the bed bugs?

      @BedbugSupply  7 років тому +7

      Definitely not. Bed bugs aren't just in your furniture - they're hiding in cracks and crevices throughout the room.

    When I use the spray how long should I wait for it to dry

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  8 років тому +1

      It depends on the exact spray and the material it was applied to, but it should be dry within a couple of hours.

    Why not just throw the couch out,as even all this will not get rid or all the bugs and their eggs?

    • @BedbugSupply
      @BedbugSupply  9 років тому +1

      +arthur lenko Throwing out the couch won't get rid of all of the bed bugs or eggs, either. In the vast majority of infestations, bed bugs will be hiding in cracks and crevices throughout the room. Treating your furniture is just one part of a complete treatment process.

      This could modify BBs to be more resistant. Stick with the basics outlined & then consider a Pest Mgt Professional, PMP

      arthur lenko we threw our couch out. They just moved to the wall. And not everyone can afford to replace their furniture if they toss.of.
