@@bubbajoe117 You sound like you buy what Ironwood was yelling at Oscar about, but in doing so miss the point of the show's message. Ironwood leaving as he planned would of helped no one in the long run if you take the time to think about all the problems with his plan. It would show that even the MIGHTY Atlas Military is no match for this Invasion. His robots turned on people at Beacon, he made life hard for the people of Mantle for around a year at this point, and now after a serious of suspicious actions and events in less then a month we now have a Grimm Whale and a swarm of various Grimm plowing right into Atlas, and then the people left behind would see the floating city literally leave them behind after he (with Robyn at his side confirming he was telling them the truth) had promised to save/protect them. You'll have those that made it onto Atlas realizing that there were people left behind. People will put it together that Ironwood broke his promise and they are now flying high into the sky. That is not going to let anyone be at ease. Next you'll have the other nations. I don't think any of them will take it as a good sign if the entire City starts floating to them. That alone will cause confusion and panic. There are many holes in Ironwood's plan. At least with the hope and optimism of RWBY's side there is a chance to stand against the darkness and even push it back. And if you die you die proud with your boots on instead of being pushed to a retreat that ends up breaking chances of uniting the world. If you give up without throwing a punch how and why should anyone follow you?

I'd say its team RWBY, since its 4 women singing, and they are talking about friendship being betrayed and not having a conscious. Kinda mirrors their outlook on the Ace Ops at the point the song plays
lissi_with_i I wonder if there is a canonical answer. Given that it has been expressed in other comments that there is no hidden meaning to the picture.
I feel like the fight between the ace ops and team rwby should have been draw. Instead of rwby beating ace ops. I really feel the power balance get thrown around a lot. To the point where it’s feel like team rwby suddenly get a power boost and then get power down. I mean most time the Grimm are kill in the hundreds without effort and only become a threat when the plot demands it. But when humans are fighting everyone get power down hard.
4 singers???? I thought it was 1. They all sound the exact same. Might as well have been 1 person as you can't tell the difference because they all have the same rock style voice so they're so undistinctive. I cannot tell them apart at all and who's singing what part.
@@emalee2854 Because I don't think the singers chosen for the song were very unique or distinctive. Nothing wrong with sharing my opinion on the appropriate videos. The problem is putting name to face. As a listener the only singer we have exposure to most of the singers. You may be able to recognize Casey's voice because you hear her for all the RWBY songs. However, we have very little exposure to the others. They are all going for this rocky style singing and they all have very similar voices. I cannot tell when Dawn M. Bennett for example is singing or when Erin Reilly becuase I haven't heard them at all due to little exposure sometimes I can't even tell when it's Casey cus they sound the same. So they all sound the exact same. I can't tell when one starts or stops singing without someone telling me or a guide. That is the problem. So you have four very similar girls which very little previous exposure. So when sings a line I cannot tell who it is and put name to line even after listening to the song on repeat. This is the downfall of the song even though I do like the song and composition and jam out to it. So if someone is able to tell me how to distinguish the voices then go ahead.
Who else loves Casey’s growl when she sings “If it’s true what you say”? Whoo, love when singers do that.
I heard the growl too when I listened closely and it was when she sang "true" you can hear the growl.

That had to take practice, but I noticed it too
I can't really tell the differences all that well between the 4 of them. But I dont think Casey sings that. The whole line sounds too deep to be her, I could be wrong but it sounded like Adriene(?) To me
I need the energy that Ruby has when she said "you were, then you trained us"
Truly an iconic line!
That is straight up savage, especially since she got hit with the "YO MAMA" just beforehand.
If only the line made sense lore-wise.
"If it's true what you say you're the best, then let's play!"

@@JJMDude Spare me your arm-chair psychology in your first paragraph, and spare me your hypothetical fan-canon as to where the direction of the show goes from here, we're talking in the here and now and what everyone saw was team RWBY and co flying off into the sunset with Atlas/Mantles only means to fight or flee while Salem and her infinite army of horrors loomed overhead seemingly about to engulf the entire kingdom of Atlas itself.
What drove James to this point was not a flip of the switch overnight decision, but of a thousand plans tried and failed and betrayal after betrayal, he absolutely is compromised, and should be relieved of duty I just want to see people actually respect that fact and what led up to this like I also respect the reasons why team RWBY are compromised and in over their heads, not just use him and all of this absolutely FANTASTIC development we've had with him all burned up in yet another epic straw-man by people that don't understand when you're at war, or fighting for something you're ALWAYS gonna have to make utterly unconscionable decisions, history revisionists in whatever future they've won are the ones who ultimately make heroes and villains after the fact, but in times of true conflict everyone is scum.
You quote volume 2 but have you actually watched it recently? Maybe you should take a look back at Ironwoods and Glynda's conversation on Beacons docks one last time, it leads in perfectly to this whole volume.
First glimpse of true respectable moral ambiguity and intrigue we've had in this show and y'all would rather throw it under the bus just so RWBY can get yet another eye rolling "YAAS QUEENSLAY" moment.
@@bubbajoe117 I dunno, maybe it's because the real world is such a cesspit of horror and compromise that I WANT to see a world where standing by your virtues isn't just for the times it's convenient, and that uncomfortable decisions can have simple answers provided you have the balls to play impossible odds. Legends are never born by people who played it safe, they're born of doing what most think impossible.
From a writer's perspective I adore V7's dark turn and the *apparent* no-win scenario that on its face makes everyone's actions defensible... but ultimately these are sides to be chosen. I can understand WHY people have come to a conclusion and why it makes sense to them... while also condemning them for it per my own value set. Understanding does not necessarily denote respect.
Is Casey Neo or Ruby?
Casey is rwby casey had neo hair when she was cosplaying neo
Who is singing each line...
Weiss: I never really had a problem with you. All along, I thought our friendship was true!
Ruby: Put my trust in you right from the start...
Ruby&Weiss: I never dreamed that you would be my enemy the knife to take my heart!
Yang: You screwed me in the perfect way
Ruby: A friend betrayed!
Blake&Yang: Just another mourner content to follow orders
Blake: Leave behind your consciousness abandon those who need you most convince yourself you're noble but we both know it's not so
RWBY: But if you cross my battle line, you'll find you'll be sorry that you tried!
Ruby: If it's war that you want, then you got it. If it's pain, well I brought what you need. If it's true that you say you're the best, then let's play! You won't believe it until you see it...
Yang: When I kick your ass and look you in the eye!
RWBY: With a smile and a cheerful heart, I'll turn to you and wave... GOODBYE!
Weiss: I'll be honest, I was plenty surprised. Turned from family to full-on despised!
Blake: Just like you to take the cowards way out
RWBY: A book of lies with no replies this diatribes your victory no doubt!
Yang: You knew the cruelest things to say
Blake: Than ran away!
Blake&Yang: Filled with spite and jaundice like judas thereupon kiss!
Ruby: Just a mindless weapon pointed at an enemy a simple tool provided for someone else's victory!
Yang: Now that you crossed my battle line it's time I blow your little mind!
Blake: Farewell my friend, I must give you credit, you achieved a goal... perhaps the first time in your life you felt control!
Weiss: I'll never trust the same I'll see friendship as just another game! Full of winners and losers, selfish abusers! You failed to fly but somehow I'm to blame!?
Ruby: If it's war that you want, then you got it. If it's pain, then well I brought what you need. If it's what you say, you're the best, then let's play! You won't believe it until you see it...
Yang: When I kick your ass and look you in the eye!
RWBY: With a smile and a cheerful heart, I'll turn to you and wave... GOODBYE!
That actually fits really well oh brothers this could really be what they would sing
...so, who is singing as who?
How fast
Are you guys gonna react to the soundtrack btw
cammie mccloud yep
WAR
Love it but I'm kinda disappointed they didn't include Marrow yelling "STAY!!!"
NGL that blake and yang combo was awesome
(considering they 2v1'd the enemy.... youre gonna say but it was a 2v2 it was but when they were doing the combo on... uhh "zen" brown nora was where exactly? standing at the background?)
It was Vine ;)
Second best song in volume 7 (hero is the best 2 me)
What characters are singing this song?
I'd say its team RWBY, since its 4 women singing, and they are talking about friendship being betrayed and not having a conscious. Kinda mirrors their outlook on the Ace Ops at the point the song plays
I think it's Ruby and Yang representing Team RWBY and Harriet and Elm representing the Ace Ops
lissi_with_i I wonder if there is a canonical answer. Given that it has been expressed in other comments that there is no hidden meaning to the picture.
@@AM-jh8ug Maybe it is really just how you interpret the lyrics. We won't know for sure until Jeff or Casey confirm anything ^^'
@@lissiwithi376 I don't think so sinec it's Rwby pov.
mortal kombat
I feel like the fight between the ace ops and team rwby should have been draw. Instead of rwby beating ace ops. I really feel the power balance get thrown around a lot. To the point where it’s feel like team rwby suddenly get a power boost and then get power down. I mean most time the Grimm are kill in the hundreds without effort and only become a threat when the plot demands it. But when humans are fighting everyone get power down hard.
I disagree. It's not like RWBY mopped the floor with them. The only fight that was actually one sided was Weiss vs Marrow.
@@sidous471 yup agreed ruby was getting her ass kicked by Harriet and only won because weiss stepped in lmao
Ngl lookin back, Elm and Vine had pretty lame semblances
4 singers???? I thought it was 1. They all sound the exact same. Might as well have been 1 person as you can't tell the difference because they all have the same rock style voice so they're so undistinctive. I cannot tell them apart at all and who's singing what part.
I can .. 😬
nah, you can hear them
Was there a reason you felt the need to comment this exact comment on multiple peoples' uploads of this song?
Emalee LMFAOOOOOO don’t call him out like that he might get embarrassed
