    I was playing Jackson, LTD, and Solar before getting my Regius with Evertune. I ended up selling my other guitars and ordered a duvell. I also just recently got an Aviator and it's fantastic too

    Great guitars, I really like the Regius. Comfortable, good resonance, good craftsmanship and setup. I also have some comparable instruments from Jackson, ESP, Kiesel, etc. I'd say my one quibble with the Mayones is the lack of graphite reinforcement rods. Other brands have these, even the recent Chinese Jackson line. They make a big different in stability and I'd take a thicker neck with the graphite anyday.

    The top cap is actually nearly the thickness of the binding (there is a factory tour on youtube that shows it being put on).
    Couldn't agree more on the quality. Honestly, after getting one myself, I could not help but only find flaws in all guitars I see in the guitar stores (which are non existent on the Regius).
    Best guitar I ever owned.
    Tschuss!!!

      @@MassiveSoundProductions yes true but ESP Custom Shop and PRS Private stock cost 2x what a custom Mayones cost! So they better be good for 12-15k you can buy a van for that cash and guitars and amp to put in it. Dang it, Europeans must be rich and make too much money compared to us poor Yanks on the other side of the pond.

    Hi! I had a Mayones before. It was a 2006 mayones signature model and I sold it as I knew my PRS custom 24 piezo was better in almost every aspect. I’m now looking to buy a 7 string and while there’s no PRS USA 7 string, I’m looking at a mayones regius again but my main contender is a ESP E-II M-II seven string. My question is: between your mayones and your esp e-II which one do you prefer and why? Is the quality difference that much? Thanks!

    • @MassiveSoundProductions
      @MassiveSoundProductions  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Carlos! I would make my decision dependent on the money you want to spend. You cant go wrong with either the Mayones or the ESP, sound and quality wise. Currently I would personally lean a bit more in the direction of getting a Mayones, even better build quality, I love the shape and the resell value is higher but if you find a good deal on an ESP you cant do anything wrong as well.

    How do you like it compared to your Broderick? I have both but I notice the Regius is built more perfectly and I notice tool marks on the Jackson, the fretwork on the Mayones is just better. I prefer how the Jackson plays and sounds though except it's so heavy. I think you can't go wrong with Mayones though, to me Regius is a PRS + ESP if I have to describe it. I can't compare anything to Aristides though, it's just way different in a good way.

    • @MassiveSoundProductions
      @MassiveSoundProductions  4 роки тому +2

      That's actually a tough question. In general I would say you cant go wrong with either. I have two Broderick, one 6- and one 7-string and both are top notch and without any flaws. I like their body shape allot and they both have the best quilted maple top of any guitar I have ever owned. But on the other side it would be hard for me to play them live as they are rediculous heavy. If it comes to a decision where I a could either keep the Mayones or the Broderick I would keep the Regius. After having played it for some more weeks now I enjoy it more and more and in addition I had a chance to get another one after selling one of my other guitars. There will be a comparison between this one and my new Regius Core in a few weeks. I think a comparison of Mayones being somewhat in-between a PRS and a ESP hits the nail on the head :)

      @@MassiveSoundProductions playability and neck comfort/fretboard feel is most important factor to me. If I love my Jackson USA Soloist neck, how would I like the Mayones necks? I really like jumbo frets for bends and lead work.

    Hiya, how doe it compare sound-quality wise and in general to your EII Eclipse Evertune guitar?

    • @MassiveSoundProductions
      @MassiveSoundProductions  4 роки тому +2

      Not an easy answer. They are both fantastic guitars, very well build and sound great. If you want a Evertune system, get one! The Mayones is even more beauty but also costs allot more. It sounds a bit brighter than the Eclipse, which isnt surprising due to the wood differences. I prefer the feel of the Mayones a bit over the Eclipse, but both play great. You cant go wrong with either the ESP or the Mayones. If you cant try them I would choose depending on your money you want to spend, if you want an Evertune system and which you like best lookwise.

      The most Ibanez necks are even more slim than the Mayones. I generally prefer thicker necks, but Mayones are still a good compromise between a fast shred neck and a thick neck with more meat in your hand and sound. Jackson depends. I own an older Kelly which is thinner to the Regius neck and an Juggernaut which is relatively similar (also from due to the same fretboard radius)

      @MassiveSoundProductions  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks for you comment Renaissance Man! I played/owned most of your mentioned guitar brands and would say they all are great for what they are made for. In the end it's allot of personal preference which one fits best to you. Personally I would e.g. go for Mayones over Skerversen, but that is just me. A Framus is a completely different type of animal, but one which i also like allot. Very well build guitars. On the other side there are allot of USA guitar brands which I like allot and which cost so much more over here ;)

      @@MassiveSoundProductions you're welcome and we have the opposite problem here in the USA. Like American made guitars and amps like Jackson and Gibson and Mesa Boogie amps cost way less than say what you'd pay in Europe. Unfortunately, at this point, I want European made amps and guitars and they cost a small fortune here due to weak USD/Euro and import/export taxes and duties. Like a custom Jackson USA is about 3k and Mesa Mark V amp about 2k. A similar Mayones or Framus is like 5-7k here and a Diezel amp like 4k! Ouch. If only I worked in Europe and made a very high euro wage.
