This is honestly one of the best/most informative videos I’ve seen on photography. Thank you so much for sharing this. I have a flash but I can’t seem to get mine to work. Hopefully one day I’ll figure it out and then I’m definitely going to try your technique. Again, thank you for sharing.

Amazingly beautiful shot, especially for the whole setup being so simple. Can you imagine using shots like that for eBay ads? I don't know why you'd want to sell a slice of tomato, but it should work for other items, too. Thanks again for some great, helpful tips! Your Premium Course on this subject was very helpful. I like that you go so much more in depth, without making it hard to understand. You've got a great, professional team, there.

Amazing lesson, Andrew! I highly suggest anyone who reads this comment to check out the premium courses. You will not regret it. You will be amazed how much better you get and how much faster you become at trouble shooting if you are under or over exposed.
hi dear andrew, very useful info again. maybe in the future you can make a video dedicated to those who want to start product photography at home - what would they need to buy, DIY staff ect...

Hey Andrew, what if you want to add a half face with mouth slightly open and about to take a bite on that spool of pasta on the spoon with the same settings... can please make a video on how to do that? Thank you so much!

I tried to replicate this setup with a small tomato. I was almost succesful... I didn't use a camera with a built in flash. I just used a remote trigger from my camera. The fork was well lit, but the front of the tomato was not. I assume that you used the internal flash unit only to trigger the flash-unit below the fork and that there is practically no light hitting the fork from the internal flash. Or am I wrong and was there light from the internal flash reaching the fork in your setup? Thanks

Stock photos are a SCAM for the photographer. Shoot a certain shot as a stock one and you gonne be rewarded with a few dollars on a purchase of that photo, IF it even sells in the first place with all the competition and masses of stock photos already out there! But if you do a shot as a contracted photographer you can make anything inbetween a couple of 100 to a couple of 1000 bucks on it! Don't sell yourself under value and stop putting so much effort in things that won't reward you in the end. Answer me, how many people can actually live from only doing stock photography?

it is ok. Not everything is for everyone. Just like vaccines. You do what you like as long as you are happy.
