i have not had the luck, but if you do, you can get some cheap cheap cheap vitange lenses on Ebay, then all you need are some adapters. I have not got lucky becasue now it is known. So now they want too much money for a old vintage lens. I do not have the budget for 300 dollar plus lenses. Until i can sell more pictures. But I had no equipment for a while, I tried using my iphone but it was absolute trash, i could not manually adjust AP, or ISO, and it was best suited for good light, selfies, and instagram BS.
Hi Karl, you're F.....g BRILLIANT!! Thank you for ALL your excellent & sincere advice together with the educational videos on all things in photography. You have spent an inordinate amount of time and effort making them. They are a real JOY, not only to watch, but gain a wealth knowledge from... and delivered superbly, professionally with great design styling. Please keep up the GREAT! work. We are all extremely grateful and spoilt! Cheers.
Great content as usual, Karl. The more experience I get shooting, the more I appreciate what you have to say. Conversely, I care less and less for channels with click bate titles and videos that make you feel bad about your gear. Keep up the great work.
Hi Karl, Glad I found your channel! After retiring from portrait/wedding photography I need a creative outlet for myself. Look forward to your videos! Which programs did you use? Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One or ?
you have given me to most out of your time for how to improve on what I have been doing. Thanks. I am just glad I ditched a horrid camera for one that does not get all my pictures rejected. It was getting annoying sending in 100 pictures of the same thing to only have one accepted because it did not distort everything.
Thank you Karl. For the first time in 20 + years I finally heard some one say that the tripod is an important aid to composition. It seems that in this digital age there is less emphasis on the use of the tripod. Using a tripod to aid a composition is just not taught any more.
Another great vid Karl, had an idea for a vid for you, how about a vid on the studio building its self rather than the equipment you put in after the main refit. This might be a good one for people acquiring their own new space. discuss ideas like making one corner having an infinity curve. would having a semi permanent bar system for hanging lights / flags / bounce boards be a good idea or not, or maybe making one area water proof for splash stuff.
Could I ask: where is a good place to buy the kind of mat black super smooth base you use in the lipstick shot?? I’ve been using black foam board but I want something with an even more homogeneous surface. Any tips? Thanks!
@@VisualEducationStudio I've show the image to seven people. Four said that it seemed cynical, which was my first impression. One said that it wasn't cynical, but rather just realistic. Another said that it is was probably both. Yet another guessed that it was a joke of some kind, but couldn't put her finger on what it is that is supposed to be funny. During our conversation, it was brought up and thought that that lipstick on a collar was a different kind of hook. All of us remembered our mothers' lipstick, and all thought that that made for a totally different kind of hook -- as in a mother always knows which buttons to push because she installed them....
Good morning mr. Taylor. A photographer from Italy. I'm finding your videos more and more inspirational, as I feel in me a lack of creativity. When it comes to practice, I have some ideas of how I can do a shot, but conceptualizing it it's always a problem. Do you have any suggestion\books\courses to find inspirations? Thanks
Creative, I sent you a message before. How can I join your product photography course and get a certificate, even though I don’t speak English? I speak Arabic. Is that possible? I hope you can help me quickly. Thank you.
I want to be as good a photographer as Karl when I grow up. Never mind that I’m almost 40 already… I’m binging these videos, and all the courses on KTE.
@@VisualEducationStudio Full speed ahead, preparing to fail so I can learn. :) Sitting here watching courses and liveshow replay after liveshow replay with my notebook. Thanks for an excellent site and resources!
Hello would you consider being interviewed and contribute to a tribute video to matt ballard from art of the image. What I would like to do is a video highlighting some of matts content and having a few people say a few words about him on camera please let me know your thoughts if you would like to contribute I am reaching out to any one who knew him or followed him for many years if you would like to get involved. please get in touch contact me on my channel if your interested regards Paul.
Your presentation is good but why don't you show us the set-up in detail for all these amazing pictures that you are showing . Less talking and more studio set-up would help. If you want share and help it could be very useful.
"Don't be afraid and don't let the lack of equipment be an excuse."

In the lipstick/fish hook shot, the hooks form hearts? What does that mean?
Hey Andrew, take a good look at the image - karltaylor.com and then let me know what you think it means.

Hi that's all covered in detail on our platform at Visual Education - you can find the link below the video.
Mobile phone, window............that’s all you need !
Bloody hell you might be a good photographer but you could describe it all in your own words instead of reading that's sucks 😕
