GOOD POINT FITZEE....When you stitch or Pulse weld. You need the heat setting higher. Because when you run a bead it heats up as you weld more. You want your heat high enough to pulse short time periods and penetrate.

Big praises man...on pretty much every one of your videos, there is a moment where I say, "Fitzee's a genius!" This time it was when you cut the two slots one each side and then put them in the vice and raised the left and right sides. As soon as I saw that in the vice, I knew your plan...genius!

Am guessing some may see you as a "Lazy hacker", especially after watching your two-part "Quarter Panel" replacement video However you. offer an alternative which I have yet to see anywhere else on this or any other platform. Real-world solutions using tools and materials procured from "Crappy Tire" or Princess Auto.. Tin fabrication by hand is all that many of us can afford to do., your video on "Gasless Mig Welding" was gratefully accepted as my welder is a 120v Jobmate from good, old CTC. Replacing ONLY the rusted portions of the quarters absolutely made the most sense - provided lots of extra tin for fabrication as well!! Many thanks to the "Man from the Rock" from another "Tin Bender" to your West! (Reality dictates you don't have much to your EAST)

That was a fantastic rolled panel! I love the way you broke it down into small manageable pieces. As if joining the two panels weren't enough, you put that really cool Indented piece in the middle. You could probably put a light on it as well. It looks like it came from the factory, it's that good.

Thanks for another look into the master’s mind. Great advice, don’t get too far ahead of yourself before you clean and buff. I’ve a couple projects I’ve got started so far down the road it’s a chore to go back and finish it up. Makes you tend to give up all together or finish up half a$$ed. Thanks for instilling that idea.

Love your videos. I’ve learned a LOT from you and you’ve given me the confidence to start doing the sheet metal work on my 64 GTO myself - so far, so good. I especially like the fact that you use simple tools - since that’s what many of us doing this as a hobby are stuck with. One thing I’d really like to see is an example of what the back side of a good weld on sheet metal should look like. Any I’ve seen so far happen so fast and from such a distance that we don’t get a really good look at it.

I like how you matched, The drop down relief, at the bottom center of the truck bed. When I get to shapes like that “I imagine how I would make both the drop down and the relief”, that way you look at it with too much metal and not enough metal. That way you come up with cool ideas, but write them down or take pictures because it is easy to forget good ideas, I did 2 Mustang fast backs and I forgot the tricks I used on the first one. They both looked the same but the process was different, nothing wrong with that, lots of ways to do the same thing.

Tony, I know this would be a task for you, but on jobs like this, it would really cap it off to be able to see the finished project on the car, painted and done. Probably have to wait some time for some of those projects to be finished, but it would highlight your work as a finished piece. It is sometimes hard for us to appreciate how great it turns out when we see you give it back to the customer in this bare metal condition. What an update video that would be.

@@fitzeesfabrications Hi Tony, you accomplished what you said you would and the seam along the top looked factory. In this case I have no idea what it will look like filled, sanded and painted so I second the comment that showing finished product with paint would be ideal. If that isn't feasible, maybe showing panel primed would be enough.
